A PRETEND MARRIAGE.
A REAL DESIRE.
BEING FRIENDS WITH NO BENEFITS HAS NEVER BEEN HOTTER!

All Jazzed Up is Book One in a brand new series Love, Lies, & Ninja Missions by Tracy Ellen.

A spin-off, stand-alone novel from The Adventures of Anabel Axelrod series, this is Jazy Axelrod’s provocatively alluring, uproariously funny love story!

Jazy is freaking out. Waking up one day to the appalling realization she’s fallen in love with a player, who also happens to be her best male friend, would be enough to freak any girl out. If that isn't bad enough, Jazy knows her love is totally one-sided because the wealthy, incredibly sexy Max Byrd is just not into her that way. To Max, she’s his best, and only, platonic girl pal.

But Max has problems, too. He suspects another woman is trying to trap him into marriage for his money. Max naturally turns to Jazy and begs her to help him out by quickly marrying him first. Against her will, Jazy reluctantly agrees to Max's idiotic scheme of a friends with no benefits pretend marriage, which doesn't sound very friendly or beneficial to Jazy at all! Soon Jazy perks up and sees the bright side of her fake marriage to Max. They'll be forced to spend each day together. Jazy stops feeling sorry for herself and takes control. After all, she is a horse-whispering, Celtic Cursing, potion-mixing, sex-loving, Axelrod woman. There’s nothing an Axelrod woman can't accomplish if she sets her mind to the task, and Jazy wants Max’s love.

Armed with determination and her unique talents, can Jazy seduce the cynical playboy Max Byrd in just a few short weeks to believe in her, and happily-ever-afters? Or does Jazy learn real love needs no convincing?

(Psst…you don’t have to read The Adventures of Anabel Axelrod series first to enjoy Jazy’s story. But for those of you that have, All Jazzed Up takes place immediately after Coupled with Chance, Volume VI.)

Note from the author: All Jazzed Up is meant to entertain 18+ adult audiences and contains swearing, sexual situations, and mild violence.

Truthfully, I wasn’t entirely sure how I was going to feel about this book. At first I wasn’t really pulled in, but once the story gripped me I found myself unable to put it down.

It starts off with a bang, a scene that leaves us expecting a lot of mystery and suspense. A female gets a flat tire, followed by being attacked, before things can go too far the attacker is gone. It left me with questions. Who was the female? Who was the attacker? Who saved her? Why was she the victim? All of the questions that entered my mind in the prologue, however, were pretty much answered in the first chapter. It turns out we weren’t to have a book of tracking down who was to blame for the attack – we were going to have a book about revenge. Well, a plot line about revenge. I wasn’t entirely sure how I felt about this, as it didn’t really pull me in the way I had expected it to. In fact, even as this aspect of the story progressed I was never really pulled into it as much as I had hoped to be.

Fortunately, the other side of the story pulled me in. A faked marriage between friends, with hidden emotions that they’re unwilling to act upon at first. It’s a bit of a clichéd story; however, if done correctly such a storyline is a lot of fun. With this, it’s done right. Yes, it’s clear from the start where things are going. You know from the get-go how things will end, who feels what, and where the truth can be found. However, watching the interactions play out is wonderful. Even though you know how things are going to end, you’re pulled in and left questioning how everything will come together.

Truthfully, my favourite part of this book was the dialogue. There’s so much entertainment to be had. There are so many amusing characters to be found in this book, with there being many wonderful lines. I often found myself giggling unexpectedly because of what characters were saying. Honestly, some of the lines were truly wonderful. Without a doubt, it left me enjoying the characters so much. The voices, the amusing conversations, made the occasional dull moments that little less boring. Not that there were many of these moments – it simply wasn’t the non-stop action I had been anticipating.

Overall, though, I had fun with this one. It’s left me hopeful of what the next book will give us, and I cannot wait to read more of the amusing conversations.

As a final note, I’d like to thank the author for allowing me to advance read this one.

I didn't read the synopsis of All Jazzed Up before I started reading it—something I have been doing way too much lately—but the story had me attached to my Kindle until I finished it. The verdict: I was completely blown away. I loved how Tracy Ellen created so many complex characters with their own unique quirks. I have never related to a character more than I have with Jazy. It was almost freaky how similar my thoughts and behaviors are with Jazy’s; I even questioned if Tracy Ellen knew me somehow.

Max’s character is hot as hell. It was so nice to see a biracial character as the leading male! The chemistry between Max and Jazy definitely set my Kindle on fire, and their witty banter had me laughing so hard; I’m sure my neighbors think I am insane.

I wasn't aware of the series about Anabel, but I am excited to read about her life in order to learn more about the characters. I also can’t wait to read Tre J’s story in the next Love, Lies, & Ninja Missions book!

I received and ARC and volunteered to review it.

Jazy Axelrod is awesome!

I can't wait to read the next book in this new series! Jazy has more of a mouth on her than Anabel, but she's just as much fun!

I wish they were real and lived in Ohio! I'd love to be friends with them! Tracy, if you need any new friend characters, could you consider a short blonde one named Sandy? Then I could fantasize. Hehe

I am so loving the Axelrod stories!

I absolutely loved this story and getting to know more about Jazy and Max. While this is a stand alone book, I'm glad I had read the first Anabel Axelrod book so that I knew more of some of the side characters in this book. I feel as if I personally know the characters in this author's books and can't wait for the next book in the series.

Love it - want more.

Jazzy has her own voice! I enjoyed getting to know Jaz and her character. Her struggle with redefining herself as some one who can love and be loved was moving and sometimes angsty. I wish/hope the series features her a lot.

Great beginning.

This first book in this series set the tone! Yes, it is a typical love story and it is a fast read too. The ending was slightly rushed and there are storylines within that were not neatly tied up with a bow. However, this story read well and left just enough open to expound upon in future books. Jazy's story did not disappoint! I love her snarky sense of humor and seeing the world through her eyes.
HAPPY READING EVERYONE!!

Singing along on the radio, the driver suddenly felt the car veer sharply and pulled to the side of the road with a major blowout. Not wanting to change a tire on the dark highway, she slowly drove to a gravel side road ahead. Getting tools from the trunk, she was grabbed and punched hard in the head and stomach. The man ripped open her jeans and threw her to the ground. Then all was quiet. A smelly hood over her eyes prevented her from seeing anything, so she listened. As she painfully tried to get back to her car to call for help, a loud diesel engine sounded and two headlights trapped her in the beams.

Jazy heard a strange noise outside. Getting out of bed and grabbing her shotgun, she stealthily moved down the stairs to the back door. She identified her sisters’ voices as they struggled to carry Mia into the kitchen. When Mia was able to look up, Jazy saw her face was badly beaten. They would have to tell Diego that she was kicked by a horse. Only Jazy’s neighbor driving home inadvertently saved Mia, since the attacker ran off as the truck approached. As Jazy and Mia talked alone, Mia wrote on a tablet that she didn’t see the attacker – but she DID smell him. It was Chuck Trotter, the cop who had stalked her last Fall. For their own safety, they would have to proceed cautiously to deal with this matter if Mia is to be avenged.

In the meantime, Max arrived at the farm after a few weeks in Hawaii. He saw Mia and was ready to kill whoever had beaten her so badly. Jazy had already put the Celtic Cursing on Trotter; would Max accept that or was more trouble brewing for Trotter? And what about the crazy scheme Max wants to draw Jazy into – huh, marriage!?

I loved the dialog in this book. Despite the serious goings on, Jazy is laugh-out-loud funny. She tackles life’s problems head on, and the reader has to admire her spunk. I totally recommend this great book to readers. It’s a spin-off from the Anabel Axelrod series, so there is plenty more to read. Great book!

I loved this book!!! I laughed so hard reading this in bed last night I was afraid I was going to wake people up. All of these characters are fantastic and I was so happy to get Jazy's story after falling in love with all of the characters from the Anabel series. Tracy Ellen, thank you for making my days brighter with your books!!!

I always get excited when Tracy Ellen publishes a new book. I always know that I am in store for some swooning, laughs, hi-jinx and action. This is another one I can chalk up as a winner by Tracy Ellen!

Jazzy. I loved her character in the Anabel Axelrod series, so for her to get her own book was an extra special treat for me. I absolutely love her!

This book starts out... Have you read A Date with Fate? I remember when I read it, I cringed in that opener. I actually almost put it down. I kept saying to myself, "no this author isn't; she isn't going to go there". But the thing is, sometimes things aren't as they seem with Tracy's books and sometimes they are as they seem but have purpose. In the case with this book, I was scared with the opening of the book. However, it was necessary. It was the reason for the book.

Let me tell you, the things that happen in this book.... Did you really thing I was going to tell you what happens in this book? Ha! Not a chance. I will tell you that I laughed my butt off. I cheered. I yelled. I swooned. I wanted to kick some ass. These are always natural reactions with every single Tracy Ellen book!

Do I recommend this book? Ummmm.... YES! Who would I recommend it to? Everyone over the age of 18 who likes to be entertained!

i voluntarily agreed to write a review in exchange for receving an ARC. O-M-G what a read! Tracy did it again. lots of witty sarcasm, drama, sex and getting revenge! Jazy has made a huge realization.. she is in love with her bff Max Byrd and is scared to death about it. She is also pissed at him bc he took off to hawaii for 3 wks without hearing hide or hair from him. Plus shes gotten texts from a conquest if Max's that shes preggers. Now she is determined to help a family member get revenge on attacking them and Jazy will use her voodoo-curse magic to make that happen. When Max returns he asks Jazy to marry him to help him out bc he got girl preggers and doesnt want to be forced to marry her. Jazy agrees for god knows what reason but shes in love with him and will try to win his heart. A contract is drawn up to stipulate the terms of the marriage. Will Jazys plan work to get Max to love her or will she end up in heartbreak? What will she do when she learns the truth?

I haven't met a Tracy Ellen book yet that I haven't loved! Her characters come alive - they're real people, believable, mostly likeable, and fun. The women are strong and independent and, with a few caveats, make great role models.

I thought I loved Annabelle's Luke, but Max is pretty irresistible. I also liked Jazzy a lot more reading things from her POV. In fact, it makes me want to read more from the perspective of other family members and friends. The group of characters that Tracy Ellen has birthed are all so interesting and unique, and I like to think that maybe they are real. Since I can't be a member of Annabelle's and Jazzy’s family, I've decided to make them my imaginary friends. Living life vicariously through their outrageous experiences will have to do (since I've already found my own Prince Charming).

All That Jazz and More

All I can say is I LOVED this story. But what's not to love. This series allowed us to learn more about the characters of Anabel Axelrod life. Jazy is more than just an eye for an eye person. She I s a real woman w I th real feelings that run deep. I felt her anger, pain and relief. Max, well he got my attention but as Tracy knows it is hard to beat out Luke Drake as my bbf (book boyfriend). But Max is a close runner up. All Jazzed Up brought some clarity to the ending of Couple by Chance. Now I wait in anticipation for Valentine's day to read Kiss by Kismet. Thank you Tracy Ellen for another great and fun read. Now how can I learn more about this cursing stuff.

This is the first book I’ve read by Tracy Ellen and I wasn’t sure what to expect….but I’m really glad I read this book. It had a lot of adult humor, some twists and a whole lot of family drama mixed in.

I loved Jazy from the very beginning. She is a powerful girl who knows what she wants. She tells it like it is and she has her ways about doing things. I like that she seems like she has her act together and we get to see a bit of her vulnerable side. I loved Max as well and would have liked to hear a little bit more from him. Perhaps in future installments? We’ll see! Can’t wait to read more!

I received an ARC for my voluntary review.

This is Jaxy and Max story. WOW, what a story!

We first met Jaxy and Max in the Adventures of Anabel Axelrod series. This can be read as a stand alone. However, I recommend reading the Anabel books to better understand the interactions between the family and friends in the book. You will get a better look at Jaxy and Max from the beginning.

I highly recommend all of Tracy Ellen's books. You will love getting to know all the family and friends in Anabel's and Jazy's circle.

It was so much fun to watch Jazzy in action. She's such a kick-butt, take no crap woman, I loved seeing her work. And the push-me/pull-you dynamic she and Max have going was really entertaining. I also really enjoyed the interactions with the extended Axelrod and Byrd families and friends. My only complaint is that the ending wraps up too quickly for me. I wasn't as satisfied as I wanted to be with it.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.
I have since read a revised version of the ending, and it's everything I was hoping for.

Great, great read! Classic Tracy Ellen; suspense, sex, and fun! Would recommend 100%.

Only gave it a four out of five stars because I think there's a few weaknesses that Anabel's stories doesn't have. I think Max's mother's whole plot is pretty far-fetched, even more than normal. I'm also disappointed we don't get a resolution on things like Trotter or Tre-J/Cookie, but I'm not surprised about that because of Tracy Ellen's typical series style. But it has made me look so forward to reading the next in this new spinoff series!!!

The course of this book takes place over about 2 weeks. It is jam packed of laughs, twists and lots. Ms. Ellen really draws you into the book and you get a lot of laughs!! Jazy Byrd is one funny lady, and so are her band of ninja mission gals. I cannot wait to read Tre J's story!!! All the good stuff being said, it seemed like there was so much that she was trying to put in the book, you got a little lost. Still an amazing read!

Another awesome read! This story revolves around Jasmyn "Jazzy" Axelrod and her fear of commitment, but a fake wedding to the man she loves, how is that going to work out? You really need to read this book. It is hot, sassy, and a little bit quirky. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

I love this book just like I like Tracy Ellen's other series. Jazy is a wonderful character and just as funny as Anabel. I am glad I got to read from Jazy's point of view. I hope we eventually get another book of jazy and Max because there is more to their story that I would love to know.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Jazy and Max are best friends. Jazy realizes she has fallen in love with him only to find out he got someone else pregnant. Max disappears for two weeks with no contact. Jazy's cousin Mia shows up one night and has been attacked. Jazy is ready to go on a ninja mission. Max also happens to returned home that night. He has an offer for Jazy that will help him and her. But is it really just about a fake marriage or is there more to it. Grab a copy of All Jazzed Up and see if Jazy and Max can come to terms of their feelings for one another.

All Jazzed Up was a page-turner for me. Tracy had me laughing, happy and angry. There are still some questions that I have that weren't answered and hopefully Tracy will continue the Love,  Lies and Ninja missions. Looking forward to more of Tracy's books.
