36-Year-Old Motivated Career Woman Seeks Man Who Can Handle Her Success...
Kay is a successful African American therapist tired of dating in New York City and all her friends are even more tired of her dating woes. At thirty-six, she's never made the first move until her best friend dares her to ask out the very next guy she's attracted to.
When Kay meets an appealing white real estate mogul named Grant, she's skeptical that he'll be any different from the men she's dated before.
But Grant is beyond different. He's the perfect gentleman, knows how to handle her in the bedroom, and he gets everything about Kay -- including the fact that her satin night cap is non-negotiable.
There is just one problem: Grant's ex, Stephanie.
Stephanie's desperate to win her ex-husband back and she doesn't care who she has to step on to do it.
Can Kay keep it drama free and end up with the man she loves or will she lose out to the ex and be forced to settle for someone she doesn't truly love?

The story itself isn't really bad,but Kay is just toooo judgemental and also confusing (in regards to start of relationship w/Grant) for my taste...very irritating. Grant is sometimes too overbearing. Additionally, the relationship just seem to suddenly happen...just too quick. It was a struggle to keep up at one point. I would have actually given it 3-stars , but the numbers of typos/errors was a distraction and detracted from the story as well.
The first book was good the second book was horrible. I skipped a lot of the second book. Would rate the first book 3.5 . Loved the first book about four strong African American women. The heroine and the hero had to deal with his crazy x-wife.
