I don't know what this story was, but it was not great. I can't even really tell what the plot was, except that it was something to do with the Sisterhood of Karn, and the Doctor kept taking the mickey out of his two American companions, which got quite annoying after a while. Like, I get it, they're American, it doesn't need to be the focus of the entire story.
The twist with Sir Francis Drake was rather interesting, and having the narrator do the other doctors voices (spoilers sweetie!) was well done as well. I enjoy these audios over the big finish ones as they stay true to a Doctor Who episode and makes me feel like they really bring out 12, even better than the show does! A pleasant listen and a great story.
this story was an absolute joy to listen to Dan Starkey done the voice of the 12th doctor to a t. he must have studied peter capaldi's performance as the doctor because the voice is spot on. i don't normally listen to audio dramas but i liked this one. i have bought another audio drama of doctor who called the last planet looking forward to that one
After two ho-hum instalments, Doctor Who’s “Lost” series attempts something more ambitious, revealing the creature behind the Time Lords’ mastery of the fourth dimension. Unfortunately, the length of story makes for a negligible denouement (and the two American companions continue to freeload).
Story was a bit more ambitious than the previous instalments. Still not a fan of the boring American companions but Dan Starkey does a great job with all the accents, especially as he has to do a bunch of the Doctors.
Enjoyable for what it was, though the plot and ideas suffered from being a bit short and most of the people who weren’t the Doctor, like the “made for this collection” companions were rather flat characters
A nice romp, more fun than the last book, and a much better adventure for the new companions.
I liked the "science as magic" explanation from the time period, a good way of blending mythology and science fiction. Interesting overarching plot development, and I look forward to the next one.
Ok story in a continuing set of stories about the twelfth doctor. Interesting concept and the regression of the doctor was interesting but nothing amazing.
The narrator shouldn't have attempted the accents... Also not familiar with these companions. This detracted from a story that wasn't good to begin with
