Ivy is infuriated with her boss, she is tired of seeing him swirling the drain as he gets over his heartbreak. Deciding it is time to let him see the Ivy she really as well as confess her feelings, doesn't have the immediate effect she had hoped.

Gabe doesn't know what to think, but Ivy's wake up call has him a bit befuddled. He had never been attracted to his employee but now he can't seem to stop thinking about her. The main problem is though she has a stalker who is intent on getting her, Gabe pulls his friends in to keep Ivy protected and by his side, but is it enough?

This was a bit of a surprise. I knew it was a boss/employee romance and had a bit of suspense but it was not predictable. Very good read, the chemistry is hot and Gabe has to prove to Ivy she is the one he wants. Great read, checking out more from author.

*Gifted for an honest review* 3 ½ - 4 Stars

I really enjoyed this read despite it being predictable and perhaps the same plot line that I’ve read many a time over. Plenty of angst and tension revolving around a boss/employee relationship. Gabe is your alpha male with all those rough edges who doesn’t quite see what’s right in front of him. Luckily for him it’s not too late and he does “see” Ivy. She is head over heels in love with her boss and tells him so after watching him sink to the bottom of the bottle. Well, it’s not all that straightforward as Ivy has a shady past that she and her cousin thought they had escaped. It really helps that Gabe is a PI so when things get tense and a stalker gets too close he’s there to help. There are some dark moments in this read but not enough to propel it into a total dark read category. I had one or two niggles with things that have dropped my rating. I didn’t like the “pet” name Gabe had for Ivy’s cousin and I felt it was used for far longer than it was acceptable. I know it’s a little thing but I think other readers will pick that up too. I didn’t feel comfortable reading that name. For an alpha, Gabe wasn’t that bad, especially when the bottom of his bottle was the mourning of a love lost or so he thought. And Ivy….it’s hard to pinpoint what it was, maybe too needy I don’t know but I struggled a little with the character. There is some wonderful writing in this and the story is quite good but in places it felt a touch too disjointed and I struggled to connect.
I really wasn’t fond on the cover either, I found it a bit garish for me personally, I think it would be easy to pass by. I would recommend this however as I did read to the end and like I said I enjoyed it for the most part. I did get a little shock at how the story turned and it did pull an emotion from me, but pull would be the word.

I liked this book... most times. I didn't like the fact that he was sooooo heartbroken at the beginning because of another woman. He didn't notice the heroine for 3 years !!! She was working for him for years (!!!!!!) and he had no interest in her ?! And then suddenly after his ex left and the heroine started to dress sexy , he realized that she's the love of his life urghhh... it's just a lil bit unrealistic...the good part is that there's absolutely no drama with his ex so you don't have to worry about him thinking about her or her showing up.... what I also didn't like is that there was too much drama at the end... dead friends, pushing away etc... the epilogue was cute and the hero was very sweet ... so I don't know 3 or 4 stars ?

My Rating:

4.5 hearts

Favorite Quotes:

I name my guns, so shoot me. Pun intended.

Ivy was excited. She bounced on her toes and clapped her hands like a seal being electrocuted.

My Review:

I had not read J.B. Heller before, so wasn’t sure what to expect. Now that I have read her work, I plan to chase her like a fangirl. This gal can write! I had to remember that Aussies spell differently than Americans, and use /s/ when I expect to see a /z/, but I soon stopped noticing. Undeniable Attraction is funny and steamy, I didn’t want to put it down. I smiled and chuckled between fanning myself. There is considerable humor, suspense, steamy bits and sizzle between these smart and sassy characters. The dialog is realistic and snappy, what fun! More, please.

MY REVIEW

I am going to try and give the best review I can without spoilers (EEEEEKKKK. I did say TRY) ok here it goessss..

4.5 STAR REVIEW****.

Ivy is the nice, pure-hearted good girl. Well that's how Gabe sees her..Well because quite frankly he is a stupid man whose head is up his ass. Don't get me wrong Ivy is all of what Gabe sees her as but she is SO much more!! She has always let herself fade into the background- not let herself be as confident and as sexy as she is, NO MORE! She is finally going to get what she wants - she is going after who she wants - her boss. Gabe.

He. Will. See. Her.

One of my favourite things about her is that she is strong. She decides to take charge of her life and not let herself be a victim especially not of her past. However, it's not her past she needs to worry about.

Gabe convinces himself he is just not good enough for Ivy when the attraction between them is palpable and they can't deny it anymore but Ivy simply has other plans. Gabe also takes on the role of Ivy's protector and unwillingly, Tessa's too, though he gets Kai to protect Tessa more so. Tessa and Gabe don't hit it off and there is tension there but Kai and Tessa have some sort of relationship and we get glimpses of this in the book.

This story took on quite a dark theme. It felt like an episode of Pretty Little Liars! for anyone who watches it you will understand, the angst, the tension, the not knowing, holding your breath until the very last second. Don't think you know what's going on in this book, you really don't. This story really shows just how true 'Looks can be deceiving' can be. J B Heller told this story to perfection, the growth of the story and of the many characters and stories within the story is truly fascinating and compelling writing. This book was a fresh of breath air for me, it was new and it was addicting.

I loved the writing style. It's my favourite style of writing actually, Both character POV's. The story flows fantastically together and it's hard to put it down, Just one think that irked me.. some of it jumped.. and yes I know we use our imagination in books.. it's not a big deal it's just something I'm curious about. Why Ivy went to Sloane? How? and When ?? it just confused me a little but I liked that Sloane was brought into it. I don't know maybe we will find out about it eventually but It's just something that left me thinking! curious.. wondering.

The book was amazing and I am so glad I read it because I don't usually go for dark books but this was amazing and this is definitely a compelling story that will stick with you.

What a neat read! Undeniable Attraction by J. B. Heller is a fun Romantic Suspense novel and if you need a rainy-day read, this is a great option. I give it 3.5 Cups :)

Gabe and Ivy have a great chemistry. I think the thing I really liked the most was the lack of insta-love. Ivy has been employed by Gabe for three years. And even though she was attracted to him right away, her true feelings developed over time, and when she bit the bullet, well I just wanted to yell “Yeah girl! Get your man!”

Gabe’s feelings were maybe not apparent (to him) at first. His mind was elsewhere for a while, yeah it’s safe to put it that way. It’s so like a BBF to not see what is right in front of him until danger strikes.

I will say, there was limited character development – basically we really only got to know Gabe and Ivy. And there were some details that didn’t jive with me – a PI’s house can be broken into that easily? Really? And the ending, well it gave A LOT of info. Almost too much, but it was

But as a whole, the story flowed well and had great twists and turns. The dual POV was great – I loved knowing how both main characters felt. It was heartbreaking at times, but there were enough sweet (and hot) moments that you weren’t sobbing :)

So, if you like fast-paced suspense, grab Undeniable Attraction!

Gabe is still recovering after losing his last girlfriend to another guy. He spends his time at bars just drinking his life away until the bar's owner calls his personal assistant, Ivy, to come and drag his arse home.
Ivy turns up in cute little PJs to take her boss home. After making sure he is okay and that there isn't any more booze in the house she leaves him alone.
Ivy has been in love with Gabe for quite a while and finally gets sick of him not noticing her so she sets out to rectify this.
And boy, does he notice her, but it's not only Gabe that has noticed Ivy. She has picked up a stalker along the way.
I really enjoyed this book and there were a couple of turns that I wasn't expecting.

I think this is my first book by author and I am in love.
I liked the way that the author has built up the plot and the series of events.
The characters were likable even though Ivy was whiny bitch...she was sweet enough.
I really liked Gabe. What was not to like?
The secondary characters had hardly any role but they were good enough and fit the bill.
I think there were certain circumstances and events which were unnecessary to put. I cannot reveal it without giving spoiler so I'll refrain but I really did not see the point.
Also certain things were left unexplained...that is loose ends.
Also...the ending could have been shorter even though it was a really short book but the ending was definitely dragged.
Other than this...definitely worth a read.

Satisfying and enjoyable. The PI on a drunk after his lady dumped him. The mousy office assistant who morphs into the confident, take charge lover. The cousin who has her girl's back. The good buddies who rally to protect their friends. The stalker who nearly ruins everything. This book has the suspense, the humor, the friendship and loyalty, the steamy sex, the tragedy, and the HEA - everything that makes a great romance novel. I read from page one to the end in one go, because it's just that good!

great story

While this wasn’t my favorite book by this author, it was still really interesting and intense. The steam level was high, and the action was constant.
I’ll be honest, the dialogue seemed choppy at times, and the story (at least until the end) was by pretty predictable.
I truly enjoyed the book though, and I’m diving into Kai’s story now!

Falling in love with your boss

Ivy has been in love with her boss Gabe since she started working for him. He never notices her in the beginning because he was in a relationship but now he is wallowing in a post break up haze. He finally see Ivy one night when she comes and picks him up from a bar, also when she is put dressed differently than she is used too. After that night she ends up with a different admirer and Gabe wants to do everything in his power to figure out who is stalking her and protect her. While all this happens he finally gives into his feelings and they go on this intense adventure while her stalker gets smarter everyday. Can Gabe protect her and be there for her or will he lose another person he cares about? This book definitely has an undeniable attraction, intensity, stalkers, love, possessive alphas, crazy family, and lost. It will not disappoint you.

Undeniable attraction

I admit now, i did not finish this book i think i got just over half way before giving up. The hero was pathetic, i like a take charge, takes what he wants alpha hero. I thought he was going to be, but he was just little boy moaning about how he's not good enough and how his desires are too dark for pure ivy (eye roll) when the steamy scene happened i expected fireworks considering his dark desires but it was, meh, lacklustre and over kinda quick.
I should have stopped at the first chapter where she admits straight out she's in love with him and then despite having never thought of her that way all of a sudden he's lusting after her (more eye roll)
Next chapter he's berating her for a skimpy dress and saying she's asking for sexual harassment, news flash women can wear what they please and it is never a reason for sexual harassment!! This came across as though he was slut shaming her rather than possessive caring.
I should have quit sooner, but i really hoped it would get better.

I received this for an honest review. I have to say once I picked this up I could not put it down.

Gabe has just been dumped by the woman who he believed he was in love with. Ivy has worked as Gabe's assistant for a while all the while loving him from a distance.. After she rescues him from a night of drinking all night Ivy has decided that she will be not hide herself or her feelings anymore!!!

I found myself falling in love with this story one word at a time. I absolutely loved the chemistry between these two. Gabe the protector and Ivy the woman he wants to save!!! This book just really pulled me in and with its nice twists and turns. It kept me wanting more and unwilling it put it down...

I really hope the author plans to do more with this series because I really loved it!!!!

I received this book in return for an honest review on behalf of A Kiss Down Under Book Blog.

I finished this book in one sitting. I've seen a few reviews say this book was predictable, I don't think so. Of course it was inevitable that Ivy and Gabe got together but in no way was it predictable for me it was on fire. I felt the pull and connection between these two from when Ivy first turns up to stop Gabe drinking himself into oblivion.
The storyline was written very well and it kept me turning the pages to see what was going to happen.
Ivy is a very sassy and smart woman and what she endures in the story knocks her and is really sad but Gabe is amazing. Infact he is through all the book!! Great read!!

First book of the attraction series.

This read is anything but suppress attraction, witty banter with a touch here and there of breathless encounter between gabe and ivy. It may be at the bedroom or outside. The heat between these two are undeniably sexy. Leaves you catch your breath. I find gabe the sexiest when he finally sees ivy. Two strong characters enthralled.

When she thought a nightmare from the past came crawling back to her and her cousin time to get serious. Who's better to put her safety first but Gabe. The P.I./ex military and her boss. JB takes you to the level of attraction, distraction and loosing hope. But love is far deeper than the trouble she's into she thought she couldn't imagine surviving.

My first read of JB Heller and I couldn't wait to read the whole series.

This was a fast read. You get a short and cute story. Gabe just got dumped by the girl he thought he loved. So his drinking his life away! We meet Ivy who is Gabe's assistant and has a thing for her boss. These too character are equally sexy and very likable characters. Ivy has a past that comes back for her and Gabe is there to help out!

This story is a definitely insta love. So if you don't like those kind of reads stay away! But if you do then most def read this!

This was very stilted from the start. He was with someone else. He is broken, she's ran off with someone else. Ivy finds him drunk ( he's her boss). She declares she loves him !!!!! HELLO?? Where did that come from??? She then vamped it up at a bar, he rescues her from a grouper. This is where I stopped. I was only a few pages in and so much had happened. Very disconnected and clumsy. Not for me at all. Not enough character development. Too much going on and we had no feeling for the characters.

I really enjoyed this book! This is my first book by J.B. Heller, but it won't be my last! Gabe and Ivy will worm their way into your hearts. Gabe is ex-military with trust issues and Ivy seems like the shy assistant. She is so much more than that! Ms. Heller weaves a great story that will have you losing time and leave you wanting more! The title is very apt that you won't be able to deny your love for this book!

Ivy always had a crash on her boss Gabe but she hid herself from him in the fear of being rejected. Gabe on the other hand was nursing heartbreak from his last relationship. What do you think it will happen??
Once I started reading this book I couldn’t let it down, at times I laughed out loud and when reading some parts I wanted to cry, but on some occasions found the gap between scenes a bit harsh but that’s my opinion.

This is one where I connected to the female lead more than the male! I really liked Ivy! The culmination of her stalker drama was good but I am used to reading about the action... this skipped to the end of it. It had the feels. I enjoyed seeing Ivy and Gabe' s HEA and the author doing the little time jumps.

This book surprised me. I thought it would've been just about Ivy trying to seduce Gabe (I didn't remember the summary) but it turned out to be much more . The deaths shocked me which was good, but bad because I wanted to see more of those characters in the book. It was a pretty fast read and enjoyable enough that I didn't have to force it.
