Welcome to Lost Creek... a quiet mountain town full of secrets...
When Poppy takes a vacation with her overbearing family, the last thing she expects is to find herself in the idyllic surroundings of Lost Creek, and what comes as even more of a surprise is one of the first people she meets, the handsome and mysterious Arlo.

"Bears and Wolves roam these woods..." she is told... But she never could have imagined how close they could be... and of how those nearest to her are hiding something deep inside of themselves which could threaten to ruin everything. Is Arlo all that he seems? And if he is really what Poppy thinks he is, could she be the woman he has been waiting for? The one who can finally love and understand him?
There's only one way to find out... Come and meet the residents of Lost Creek! And pick a side... Bears or Wolves?

I am just your ordinary stay at home mum...so just so happens to love writing hot tales of alpha males and the ladies that love...or at least lust after them. I live in the countryside in a far away magical place...but spend some time across the pond in the Big Apple too! I hope you love my shifter tales...and/or some of my biker tales too! Lately shifters have taken my fancy though...! Thanks so much for stopping by ; )
I loved the story of Arlo and Poppy. Thought the story was well written for a short story. Just couple of things that would of made it better, a longer ending to wrap some things up for us. We never found out why the mom was having issues with Poppy. Just a few things I thought would have made it better yet. I am curious to know why the wolf pack and bear packs were having issues with each other. So those are left to wonder on. "I changed my 4 to 5 star, I didn't know more would come out about Arlo in the series. I loved the story and do hope to read more about them.
I still think the story was good, and still want to read other stories of yours.
Arlo is a great story. Well, almost. I'll explain. Arlo has the makings of a greater shifter romance. Beautiful scenery, two main characters are well thought out, instant chemistry, etc. But, the story has a beginning, a plot you COULD see going so many different ways and then, then. . . . . Exactly. It's just "poof". Over. No ending. The main story, Arlo, is only 5% of the book. That just irks me to no end. If it's a short, say it's a short. I think the author was really on to something here and it would have been great! I have not read the other 10+ stories in the book because I don't want to be disappointed again. But, I will say, if this author will write a FULL book, I would most definitely read it because I see great potential in the writing.
Poppy goes on vacation with her family and while checking out the area she meets Arlo inside of his bar. It was a short but sweet, faster paced read that was exceptionally written. It kept me engaged and the characters are very fascinating (although, I didn't like her mother at all), especially Arlo and I totally enjoyed the story along with the other exciting stories in this book. :)
4% only. Wow that is the lowest I have seen so far. This review is only for the cover book. I enjoyed reading this book. To have a life you are not enjoying go on vacation I find your soul mate is a dream come true for Poppy.. when she meets Arlo her life starts to change for the better. But how will she handle the town's secret? As with other books that have bonus stories included, I wish they would label them in the contents the name of the story and the author that has written them. It is easier to keep track of which ones you read and which ones you have not. That way the reader can go to the ones that they have not.
This is the first in series of shifter romance. Poppy is taking a dreaded family vacation to Lost Creek, a place where you can go from skiing to sunbathing. Her mother has been very unpleasant towards her since she moved back home after college. Poppy runs into a sexy stranger when they make a rest stop along the way. There is something about him that intrigues her. When she checks out the main street of the town, she goes to a bar called Arlo's, and runs into the stranger. He is Arlo and he wants Poppy.
This couple was great together This was a fantastic read This author was new for me and I was so pleased that I choose to read this book. The story was well written and had an emotional plot. The characters were interesting and well developed I really enjoyed the book so much that I ordered the next 4 books Would encourage anyone who wants to read a great book to read this one
Poppy seems like such a nitwit. Her mom really seems like she doesn't like Poppy. Poppy's family is leaving for a family vacation. They all love the town and vacation home. Poppy decided to check out the town. Poppy stops at a store and smells male goodness close by. She also finds a great bar and meets Willow the bartender. The boss is Arlo, a bear shifter and the same male goodness smells eminates from him. There is romance, possessiveness and spice.
I really enjoyed "Arlo", great storyline, smoking sex, and interesting characters, even though very short. In addition to thus primary story there are several freebies, which I seem to have already read and purchased. And while they were great, yes, I reread them, they really need editing.
It was a nice read, but it was a little predictable. I read so many books, these days and they are all starting to blend together. I liked that it had a happy ending, but the writer, should have given the answer to why the Mother had turned so hateful to her daughter. She made it obvious that there was a problem, and it was a puzzle to the girl, but she just left it hanging. I found that very distracting.

I am a Werewolf fan 100% but Arlo made ne fall in love with the bears! What a great story, I found myself smiling throughout this book. The way his relationship with Poppy was so sweet and subtle not like the typical Werewolf stories I love. Arlo was the big protective teddy bear, I cant wait to read the other 7 stories in this series!
Good story. There is more to be discovered and it would make a good series. Polly’s mum was a real piece of nasty, but Polly found with Arlo that she was not only loved, but had to strength to discard her mother.
I felt a connection to Poppy right away. The way her mom treated her was bad. Losing that relationship with a parent is hard. Finding a deeper connection with Arlo helped Poppy. This story moves fast but is a good one. I look forward to reading rest of this series.
A nice book and story that is a wonderful book to read. It is not bogged down in sex and definitely not a detail type book. I don’t give you any more information about the book than this.
Arlo and Poppy is a great story. I could not put my Kindle down. I knew they were fated mates right away. The way they were drawn to each other, when Arlo turned into a bear to protect her, Poppy accepted him for who he was.
Going on a family vacation changes two lives. A wonderful opening story for what looks to be a romantic and hot set. A nice paced story with a wonderful HEA.
