Hey, I'm Diana Mallory, Melissa Alexander’s daughter, but don't let that fool you – my life's just as messy. I can't decide whether to marry, chase a career, or join the Sisters of the Universe. But who needs decisions when you get sucked through a black hole and dumped on an ice planet, right?

This place is nothing like home. It's freezing, it's strange, and oh, there are these five guys who are making my heart race in a way I never knew possible. Each one of them is kindling a flame in me, heating up this icy world. They weren't prepared for a girl falling from the sky, but now they're all about keeping me safe, loved, and yeah, a lot more.

Trying to figure out love and survival here is a whole new game. And just when I start to think maybe I can have it all, I realize the universe doesn’t always play fair. With danger lurking in the shadows, can these five hotties help me navigate this chilly new world? And is there really such a thing as a happy ending on an ice planet?

I love the Wings of Artemis series. This is the third woman and the third harem I am reading about. I love that the woman rescue the man and the man the woman. The power is well balanced. I enjoyed reading Diana’s story. It is kind of insta love, but it works for this book. I am looking forward to the next book.

This is a complicated review to write. I always go crazy for Rebecca Royce's books because she's an incredibly creative and talented author. However, as much as I loved the previous books in the Wings of Artemis series, Crashing Into Destiny felt like more of the same.

Diana is very different from her mother, she was very sweet, kind and generous. I liked the circumstances she met the guys, and how it relates to her past. The men acted very similar when it came to Diana and, I had a hard time to differentiate them.

My biggest problem was that I didn't fall in love with the characters. That doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy the story, but it was predictable and - unfortunately- didn't leave me excited for the next installment.

I received an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

For a refreshing series I have indulged in this one just gets better and better. In this one the author takes it even farther with the daughter Diane with her going on quite the adventure herself. She will be given quite the twist with her fighting her battles against some dead (not a big fan of them but this author had me not minding them so much fit really well in story). She also will get to taste her own group in a different way. I like that this author gives the female being one myself the alpha role with many choices. I think this one is the most action packed yet too. But hold on tight you will need it because you will be immersed there with not signs pointing to the exit but being at mercy of author.

Artemis’ adventure continues
In the last book we have Melissa Alexanders HEA, in this one her eldest daughter Diana Mallory is coming of age to either get married or get a career or become a sister of the universe. While Diana and her little brother are on Artemis checking out alert beacons for errors something unexpected happens. She’s under attack and calls home for advice as to what to do. But getting her brother safe first is her priority then she set things in motion that will change her life forever. I am so looking forward to the next book in the series. Well written and extremely entertaining to read.

Title: Crashing Into Destiny
Series: Wings of Artemis, #3
Author: Rebecca Royce
Cliffhanger:
Rating: 3.5 Stars
“I'd been born in an explosion, and apparently that was how I would go out too.”

We finally get a story about Melissa's daughter, Diana, who is all grown up now and at twenty two years old, she's still not sure what she wants to do in life.

The story was quite interesting but it was missing some action at times as it became monotonous and predictable eventually. Also, zombies. That I did not expect lol. Also called the Infected, they were pretty much like zombies, biting and all. Everything was caused by the nuclear bombs that Olivia set off when she attacked the Bridge.
“You are our forever.”

Diana was an easy heroine to like. She was strong, capable and kind. Traits that made it easy for the guys to fall for her too, though my other issue with the book was that they all fell for each other too quickly and it wasn't very believable.

As for the guys, they were all likable and nice. All cared for Diana and were instantly captivated by her, though Damian took a bit longer. He reminded me a lot of Nolan (Diana's uncle, Melissa's husband from the first two books) and that's probably why I liked him the most.
“I'm so glad you're here, darling. You came from the other side of the galaxy and landed here with us.”

The ending, of course, left me unsatisfied and I'll have to read the next book to find out what happens. I'm quickly learning that Royce is a pro at ending books like she does. Overall, I did like Diana's story, even if I didn't love it, and am rooting for her to find her HEA.

I was a bit disappointed when I started this book. I loved Melissa and her husbands so much I wanted more. I didn't realize that this was Diana's book. It didn't take long though before I was fully engaged and loving this book as much as the first two. Diana is awesome!

Diana has always been a little different. She went for years without speaking, still has episodes of quiet when facing stress, and seems to have a set amount of words daily before interaction just becomes too much for her. She may not have words, but she has brains, beauty, and a great capacity to love and protect her family. An attack on the Artemis while she's doing repairs sends her back through the black hole and stranded on a frozen planet inhabited by 5 male employees of the Evander Corporation and hundreds of zombies. Diana stays hidden alone for months, but one day is attacked and then rescued by the men. The story truly begins here. Diana and her men Judge, Cash, Lewis, Sterling, and Damian are great. Each man has a distinctive character and Diana's relationship with each seems natural. She may never have wanted any type of relationship, especially one like her mother's, but on this distant planet she has found everything she never knew she wanted.

This book is another roller coaster ride. There is action, suspense, humor, romance, and of course steamy sex scenes. Very nicely written RH. Rebecca Royce develops stories that are much more complex than average RH books. Warning: It does end on a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more.

Crashing into Destiny part 3
Rebecca Royce

An adventure of epic proportions with all the right combinations. If you have been following along with the Artemis crew, you will love that it continues on through their first child Diana.

Diana Mallory is all grown up. At twenty-two she has had her ups and downs from all angles. She calls herself glitchy because of her non talking manner when she is stressed out ever since she was babe. So keeping to herself is the best policy in her opinion, even if she is around family. If only her parents would understand. She loves being a mechanic and doing her own thing. She doesn't want to get married to the three brothers that have been bugging her mom constantly for her hand. But it may have to happen if her mom can't get her way. And that just stresses her out. Then out of no where Artemis is attacked and that attack sends her through a black hole. Where she ends up nobody but her will know. Will she ever see her family again?

Didn't Hate it....... but I sooo DID NOT love it ....

Ok, where to start...
Well, I found the story very very slow moving I kept hoping the pace would pick up,and I would eventually find it more interesting but this scene from BBT (Big Bang Theory ) started to play in my head as I considered this book,Sheldon to Amy as she tries to explain something to him, "Sheldon: I sense that you’re trying to slow-walk me to an epiphany. Would you mind very much jumping to it."
Sighs deeply, that's how I felt through out most of this book...
First we are burdened w/a h who even w/out a backstory to explain it or herself and her actions and attitudes ( unlike all the men she's involved)( who all seemed to be used and abused by life) ( while she has not) doesn't know how to own or accept who she is and is not ,calls hers of glitchy and is upset by being told she's beautiful ( I mean of course she is , what young woman in her 20's w/no history of abuse or neglect, who is tiny and intelligent surrounded by gorgeous guys tripping over themselves to be w/her wouldn't be , right ?
Aaaaaaaaa,Yeah... right..
Ok, we have a awkward h who for over 80% can't or won't own or recognize her own self-worth,then we are very very slowly lead thru getting to know the guys she comes to love, at the same time everyone is soo overly worried about the possibility of heaven forbid of hurting someone's feeling foe even a second someone is constantly saying sorry for thing soo often you'd think you were reading a historical romance set in the regency period or some thing,...
Hey, I'm not for being rude or being a jerk or anything but these ppl are soo worried about offending each other over the slightest thing, well let's just say if I'm sorry was a drinking game you wouldn't last long, especially me since I don't drink ....
Being polite is all well and good but for me it just made its awkwardly slow pace even more awkward at times....
I honestly didn't feel the chemistry here,Diana has the nerve once to ask ( if they'd love just any woman that had been dumped in their laps like this, they swear No!!! Like you'd expect ,and I mainly suspect that's true even w/women soo exceptionally scarce but at the same time ? I'd didn't see a 100% feel it either ..
By the time Diana even barely starts to come into her own ?
Yeah you've guessed it the book is ending....
I'm w/Sheldon on this one , too much of a slow walk, for me to enjoy it, now I'm glad the characters got to know each other before jumping into sex w/each other, and the reason behind it was a very cool/smart one to me, just because soo many ppl are involved downtown mean it should jump straight to sex and or become more sex than story, but don't drag it out this long and then end it just as the h and her group are just barely coming into their own....
Aaaaaaaaa,No!! Nononono..
Boring, frustrating h and story drawn out too long...
I'm personally using the last chapter as an epilogue and happily skipping the next book...
For me this story ended on a happy note and I'm quite happily leaving it there...

This was painful to read. The story was all over the place. 0 to none sense here and there. A senseless fast burn (wasn't done right). Nothing and I'm telling you, nothing happens until the very end.

This time problem theme going on is way to confusing and makes the story even less believable... like what are the odds that *SPOILER ALERT* after 9 months and a black hole of separation they wpuld still find out weather she lived or died or where she actually is... because the universe is so small that the blackhole only hast 2 exits and it leads right to were the person you are looking for is. Very high, right? Aha...

Also, we already went through this "time jumping" theme or whatwver in the last books... I think it is way too soon in this series to 1. Start with a spinoff on the 3rd book, 2. Repeat stuff from the others...

What I would have done is write a lengthy 3 -5 books with tons of adventures with the OGs or at least prolongued the problem they had with olivia for a book more. That way we as readers can get more attached to the characters, learn more of them and be familiar with them. Create "memories" of their adventures. Then when we read a spinoff with their daughter we would more emotional with the characters probably... we could feel nostalgic and it would be more special.

But since it was made so short and senseless I don't feel like "awww that's the photo of nolans bday" i felt more like "i would have liked to be present on that bday and remember about it now... " diana recalling memories from her childhood and her oarents don't give me fuzzy feelings, they make me mad because it feels distant, i never read those...

Get me?

Crashing Into Destiny Crashing Into Destiny Rebecca Royce

Reviewed by SFF Dragon*

Action, adventure, sabotage, betrayal, sizzling chemistry and steamy bits, this is a terrific story. I can't wait for the conclusion.

Where to begin? There's so much here that I'd like to say about 'Crashing into Destiny', the terrific third book in the Wings of Artemis reverse harem sci-fi romance series by Rebecca Royce, one of my favourite authors, but it's hard to find the right things say without giving spoilers. Rebecca Royce likes to build worlds and populate them with an assortment of wonderful characters that grow and evolve, with new ones being added as the series progresses. Each novel length book usually has it's own complete romance with a happily ever after for the central characters and an on-going background story. The majority of her books are written to be read as series', with each novel building on the story and characters that have gone before, and on the face of it, Wings of Artemis is no different, until you realise that each book in this series is only half of a story and the first half ends on a very definite cliff-hanger. The rest of the story and the happily ever after are in the next book.

'Crashing into Destiny' begins seventeen years after 'Rescued By Their Wife' finished, and the now twenty-two year old Diana Mallory is an engineer working with her significantly expanded family on Mars Space Station which is under almost constant threat from the increasing numbers of 'zombies' coming through the black hole and the Sandler Cartel who want Mars Station for themselves. She has a lot on her mind and difficult decisions to make as she approaches her twenty-third birthday, but is always happy to spend time with any of her six siblings and has her twelve year old brother, Asher, with her, supposedly learning the ropes on her current task of checking and fixing the alarm beacons that monitor the black hole and keep giving false alarms. As usual, she's taken Artemis, the old faithful ship that had been her home for years travelling to Earth, but when she can't find anything wrong with them she starts to wonder about sabotage, then Artemis is attacked by four of Sandler's war ships and she's even more suspicious as she manages to get her brother into the only working escape pod, and knowing there are no weapons aboard to fight with, she moves the ship into the black hole to hide until the battle's over, but before she can be rescued, the hole is closed and a new life is forced on her as the vacuum pulls the ship to the other end. Back in the galaxy they escaped from so many years ago, Diana assesses her options and lands before she crashes on the frozen planet of Orion where she realises the ships sensors aren't functioning properly. At least the shields are holding so the ship can't be seen.

Now she's stuck on a planet with packs of roaming 'zombies', not far from a pod inhabited by five people that she thinks are men based on their size, and watching their daily trip to the trash compactor outside each morning is the only highlight of her life as she waits for her family to come for her and I actually felt her loneliness as she settled into a shipboard routine to keep herself going. She's calculated it will take them six months and in the meantime, she's given the men nicknames and carries on regardless. Until the day the zombies attack, and the men from the Evander Corporation pod smash her hatch down, nearly killing her in the process. Then the story really begins.......

And it really is only the beginning, there's a whole lot of story and nearly all of the book beyond this point, but to say any more would just spoil the anticipation and suspense for people as the almost instant chemistry has everyone acting out of their usual character with Diana wondering what was happening to her, and I'm not going to do that. Very well written, mostly in the first person from Diana's point of view, although that changes towards the end of the book as the focus switches to stay in the same galaxy, and no, I'm not going to say why. This is a tale of destiny bringing together six people, one woman, Diana and five men, Judge, Cash, Lewis, Sterling and Damian, under extreme circumstances, how they get to know each other, fall in love, marry and become a family of their own whilst trying to cure 'the infected'. Six people who thought they'd never have the opportunity to find love or, at least in the case of the men, have intimate relationships, but destiny has other plans for them. This terrific story is littered with humour, has some action, adventure, betrayal, sabotage, and plenty of sizzling steam as well as a few life and death situations, but it's more about emotions and discovery than steamy bits. At least until all hell breaks loose.

My emotions ran the gamut and I was a little raw by the time I got to the end and found myself clutching a tissue, rooting for the guys and desperately wanting the next book so I could read the rest of the story and the happily ever after. Sadly, it's not out yet and the waiting is frustrating, to say the least. It was also slightly disheartening for me to find that not only in the far distant future but also in a different galaxy far from our own, the 'Flu is still around and still a killer virus.

I got sucked into the story in a couple of pages and really didn't want to stop reading. I absolutely loved it and really can't wait for book four and the conclusion to this terrific tale. I'm practically bouncing with anticipation and hope it won't be long coming. I've given 5 stars to this book despite it having two of my pet hates, the cliff-hanger ending and the first person point of view, but peculiarly I didn't actually notice that until it changed because it's written in such a way that I didn't feel like I was reading someone's diary. This one is definitely on the list of books I'd rescue if the house was burning down.

Just finished this book and just WOW! When I started reading this book I didn't realize who Diana was. So glad she got her story and what a story! I enjoyed her mom's story but this is the best yet I think. Diana is working on Artemis with her brother when they're attached, she manages to get him out in a pod but she ends up going through the black hole and landing on Orion though she doesn't know where she is at first. As she does stuff that needs to be done on the ship waiting for her family to come find her, she see these men everyday leaving their pod. They don't know she's there until a fire alarm makes Artemis visible to them and they rescue her from the infected that are trying to get in. The girl who didn't want to get married now has 5 men that become her 5.

Again WOW! This author knows how to tell a story and does it again here. You get to know the grown up Diana and what her family's like since the last book. And her men you get to know everything that makes them who they are. I love the details about the pod they live in. Just a great story but the ending, lets just say cliff hanger and the author does them so well! I received a copy under no obligation.

I liked it. It was different from Melissa's story since Diana is now 22 years old but almost 50 years since Oliva's murder (on the other side of the blackhole) [shouldn't that be a wormhole - not a blackhole?]

Think I'm a little addicted ...OK I admit I am a reading addict. Once I read a book I like and discover it's part of a series; I MUST FIND THEM ALL AND READ THE WHOLE series. This is ine of them. I like the world Renecca built...not that I'd like to live in a world where women are barely even second class citizen... more a commodity. The thought of having to juggle that amny men is daunting and sounds like a full time job in itself. I'll take being fully loved by one man, thank you very much, but don't mind reading about other combos
:-]P ...hehe

Anyhoo. This book is about Diana, Melissa's firstborn. The one born the day Olivia took over the universe. She finds herself pulled out to the otherside of the blackhole and on a frozen planet with just five men on it. A corporate medical research team. She gets to know them and they pull her out of her shell. They fall in love and eventually marry then disaster strikes. There is a new character revealed in the last chapter, Canyon (possibly Sterling's brother...at least a test-tube brother).

Audiobook review

When Diana is stranded on a desolate planet to her surprise she is not alone and soon Diana must decide just who she loves. Five men are vying for her love. Yet does she truly have to make a choice? Love is love no matter who or how many right? Will Diana figure that out or will she push them all away?

I enjoyed meeting Diana and each of her men. Although each man is different each one is special in his own way and together the love that they share for Diana cannot be stopped. It was nice seeing the relationships build between Diana and the men. Each man has his own strong personality and together they make a family that will do anything for one another. The author does a nice job of intertwining the romance and action in this story. I cannot wait to see what adventures are in store for these characters. Narrator L.W. Salinas brings this story to life nicely but a little stilted. My only drawback was that this came off sounding like a YA story. Diana is very naïve as are her men in some ways and the interaction and inner monologue sometimes comes off as very young.

I liked the first two in this series, but my favorite so far is this one! It takes place about 20 or so years after the previous book and is about Diana, Melissa daughter. I love Diana!! She has some social quirks and it makes me smile when I read them. The premise of the story is that Diana gets trapped on an icy plant after an attack and is waiting for her family to come find her. The problem is, this planet has two things, a ship full of five men and zombies! Haha I know, zombies, but it’s really great. I suggest giving this book a try and the good news is, you don’t have to have read books 1 and 2 first, you can start Diana’s story in this book. Just a warning, you will REALLY want to read book 4 as soon as you gobble this one up.

I like this series of sci-fi romances. There's adventure, there's romance, and the characters are fun to read about.

The previous installments of the series featured Diana Mallory's mom. Diana herself feels like she's got pretty big shoes to fill, and she's not sure that she can. Nor is she expecting love when an accident sends her catapaulting through a wormhole and onto an ice planet with five gorgeous men, the energetic and friendly Judge, the quiet and cerebral Cash, shy and sweet Lewis, muscular teddy bear Sterling, and the leader with too much on his shoulders, Damian.

Most of this book is spent allowing Diana to get to know all five of these men and to form a haremwith them. The end is a cliffhanger, and given that the second book in this particular duology is considerably shorter than this one, I did wish this had been paced better, or at least that I wasn't left feeling like I was only reading the first two thirds of a story rather than one book with a pronounced ending.

But Rebecca Royce is my catnip, and I'm pretty much going to read anything she writes, flaws and all.

Sorry no spoilers of any kind!
Freaking amazing series that just keeps getting better and better with each book that I read!
I was completely sucked into this book before I even got done with the first chapter and I couldn’t climb out until I got to the end of the book.
I can officially say that I’m completely addicted to Rebecca Royce’s books since I go through withdrawals the moment I get finished reading one.
I’m so looking forward to reading more of this series.
So yes I definitely do recommend this book because it’s an awesome story to get completely lost within.

Really good!

That was really good! Diana ends up being a little lost in her head and in life. I love how she finds her guys and opens up so much. Obviously I think Evander was trying to kill them for some reason. Or maybe get them to do what they want. Hmmm. The ending was pretty great I really wanted to see more of Mellisa and Diana’s dad and uncles. I think I like when RHs have all of the guys as the Dad but this works too. I hate they always end of being years apart but I am definitely excited to see what’s next.

Zombies in Space?

It’s a few years later and little Diana is all grown up! This is kind of her coming of age story. Finding herself and her guys and where things are headed with her life. She gets into a fire fight while on a routine repair mission in space and flung through the wormhole. Then she has to find a way to survive til help comes. It’s a pretty interesting story with some moments of predictably but I really enjoyed it, I will definitely continue with the series as how often do we have zombies in space?

I really enjoyed Diana’s story! I mean... space zombies?! Perfect. The story is fairly pastoral in nature, a lot of the content is relationship development and ‘daily life’. It reminded me a lot of the first book in the series in that respect. The main action happens in the beginning and then again at the very end. There is a major cliffhanger. Diana’s guys are all very sweet and in general there is no conflict between them and her, the conflict in the book is all external. I love the world building in this series so far.

I’ll definitely be jumping into the next book today.

Loves it!

This has been possibly the best book of the series. Wow. I loved Diana. I loved all the guys. The only bad thing I have to say is...that I'm very sad there is not another book out yet. Rebecca's writing style is so beautiful. The story flows nicely, the plot never feels forced and she has a real talent for developing her characters. I am a huge fan of reverse harem and this one is definitely on my favorite list. Thank you Rebecca Royce. You did it again. Amazing!!

I should have known that Ms Royce wasn't quite done with Melissa and her family, However I did not see her daughter Diane being the female lead but I'm glad for it. This was a great way to move away from Melissa and bring in other female leads but I guess us readers just could not walk away without knowing what happened to her little girl. We find out when she gets 5 men of her own. I loved this book and it was a great read I cannot wait to see what happens next in this amazing series.

I loved the beginning of Diana's story. She has survived so much in her life . She never thought she would find love, nor ever thought she wanted it. When she lands on Orion she meets the five men who will capture her heart forever. This story is sweet, with so much love. The guys will do anything for her. However; things can never be as good as they seem . The ending is a real doozy. I am in shock and heartbroken.

Zombies and saving the world

This is the third book in the series and centers around Diana ( daughter of the MC in book 1).

While I really enjoyed the first two book I felt like this one was missing something. I really Diana but did not feel drawn in by the men in the book. At times they had different personalities but other times they seemed to be the same character.

The book definitely picked up towards the end.

This was much better than Melissa’s story. I loved Diana and her five. One thing I didn’t like was how fast they fell for each other and despite each of the guys saying it wasn’t because she was the only woman around, I felt that did have a large part to do with it. Can’t wait to read the next part of this story!
