Such a deliciously dark read that's masterfully written with clues sprinkled along the way, Jezebel is an intense story about love and deception.
You think you know what's going to happen, you think you've solved the clues, you will be so wrong!!!! The ending will blow your mind.
Some words of caution - DON'T READ SPOILERS, DON'T READ THE ENDING, JUST START THE BOOK NOW!! Also, spend the extra $1 and get the boxed set because it has 2 companion stories. Basically 2 epilogues - Lying in Wait and Aftermath. Boxed set is also available on Kindle Unlimited. Trust me, you’ll want to read all three to get the full effect.
Jezebel tells the story of high school senior Annabelle who reports for court appointed community service at a memory care assisted living facility for patients with early onset dementia There she meets Jezebel, a 50-something patient and immediately starts up a friendship. Each week Annabelle meets with Jezebel and listens to the older woman tell her about an epic love story. At first it reminded me of The Princess Bride, where Fred Savage is listening to his grandfather read him a story while he's home sick. In the movie, like in the book, you get a little past and present.
"Oh but my dear, every great love story has a twist. If there's no twist, how does one ever know if their love can endure?"
The romantic in me savored every bit of the love story and the cold-hearted snake in my was actually shocked with the twist.
If you love a good mystery with a gasp worthy twist, you will love this book!!!

Jezebel will keep you guessing right to the end. Who's really behind everything and why? Will there be some sort of happy ending? When love turns to hate, when hope dies, and when the heart finds itself again, this story will lead you through it all. You won't know who to root for. Annabelle is a spoiled, immature, impossible to like character. But I couldn't help feeling like maybe she'd be redeemed somewhere along the way. There is no clear cut 'good' or 'bad' guy. This story is just a whole lot of pain and getting the clues, crumb by crumb, is part of the bliss. I love when I have a hard time figuring out what's really going on and I was surprised by how this ended. What beats trying something or someone new and being blown away? I'm definitely looking forward to more and I'm happy to have discovered this author for myself.

“Monsters aren’t born. They’re made.”
I saw this book mentioned in another book’s review. Me being the noisy bitch that i am and plus i did not want to read another CR book, decided to grab it. But when I finished this book Jezebel, I felt cheated. I was promised revenge. But what i got was a stories of love, i guess we needed the build up but I still found myself skimming most of the book because I wanted to get to the cheating part. I thought it was only cheating but it was so much more. The ending was abruptly. It left me with questions upon questions. There’s a moment where she forgives and tries to move on with the cheating asshole because she really did loved him and believed his lies. That is until she really finds the truth about him.
If you’re reading this review and this book left you with questions like it did to me I advice you read the novellas. Those answered all my questions and so much more. Lying in Wait and Aftermath those novellas alone deserve 4 stars.
We even get the cheating asshole’s POV. What I was looking for all along! I wanted to read what he felt when he finds out everything! What he did and oh boy did it delivered! But I wanted more of Jezebel, I wanted to know what happened to her after everything. After ALL she deserves her HEA.
I won’t spoil the book. First time for everything.. right? 😏😉

I'd just allow a fragment of your life to wander free But losing everything is like the sun going down on me.....
Ok: What I really thought about this book is this: I love men who come from nothing and make themselves something. Sometimes they have to turn ruthless and corrupt in the process. I believed Danny really loved Aimee. But he took something pure, beautiful, damaged and corrupted that love with his perverse nature. Aimee: Saw Danny as her savior, love of her life and maybe daddy, He didn't care she was considered trailer trash, He knew a ray of sunshine when he saw it. Danny never thought to think that people that have survived what Aimee had as a child could and can survive pretty much anything even Danny.

This is a series about a very insecure girl named Aimee and when her brothers kill her father after he almost killed her mother. Her mother had been saving money in a coffee can and told her to leave and make a life for herself in New York. As she is trying to make a life she meets Danny who is captivated by her and he begins to help her. He sets her up with a college degree in accounting while she works in his company and sets her up in an apartment. When she finds out he's married with children she is so upset she runs to California but it's short lived as she misses him and comes back. Danny gets her an apartment in the same building but not the same one but the other apartment has a guy that she makes friends with. Aimee has had enough of the mistreatment from Danny and she takes a house sitting job to take a break from Danny. This is very dark and erotic story but it was really good.

WOWZER talk about a wonderful ride in a read that kept me so affixed to the pages with 90 per cent of the time my mouth hanging open. Prologue with Aimee sets you up straps you down to get you intrigued enough because it is different. She is one individual that picks your interest then she starts in about Danny. He is her glue you think but then you realize different too at times. Turbulent just touches the surface about their relationship. This is also a sneaky author who uses her readers like a puppet master. At times it is like a tennis match back and forth too in time but builds the story where you are not escaping. Actually she is setting you up for the kill lol. When this author starts revealing things that have a twist out of left field you sit up and notice that Aimee is your kind of gal if you think about it. Regardless delightful wrap up because it is so totally unexpected but bits not so much with ate the ending up.

You’re the key.... ( as spoiler free as possible )
That’s what Gabriel had said to Celeste when he gave her a gift.... and she thought she was the key to his heart, he wanted her to think that... Gabriel seemed like the perfect man, then we have Matteo who is Celeste’s best friend. From the start I knew something was up, but I couldn’t put my finger on it.... this book has so many twists and turns and holy crap moments and OMG are you kidding me moments, you won’t see them coming until it hits.... Six stars for sure!!!! Heck, my emotions are still running riot!!! Happy reading :)

Riveting Read
This box set was a gift to me from a friend. She seems impressed with this author and after reading this story I can understand why. My feelings towards the characters in this story are all mixed up. To be honest I had several emotional outbursts. I think that if a story can pull several emotions from you then the author has done their job. This is an excellent read.. Does it have a happy ending ? Well I would say it depends on your viewpoint. This story will stay in my thoughts for awhile. Great job K Larsen !!

This is the worst book I have ever read. It makes absolutely no sense and ends with no explanation. Don’t waste your time.

Wow, what a ride! That was nuts. Talk about unable to put a book down- yowza! I loved the dual timeline about Aimee’s past and present, devoured the characters and their depth, and ate up every word. I just thought part III was a boring follow up considering how exciting the first two parts were. Still an amazing read and utterly blows my mind that this fluid novel was a collaboration between two authors. (How in the world can two separate minds come together to create such seamless characters?!?)I find myself wondering what wrote what- not that it matters, just curious :-)

Part I- We learn about Aimee’s past- trailer park, lazy mom, brothers killed dad and on death row. She met Danny Montclair, (mafia- Italian- owner of Montclair) he meets Aimee at the shipyard one night and they are immediately together from then on. She doesn’t know he’s married until 6 years into their relationship. Lots of ...er, relations. Dirty relations. Has next door neighbor Wade, and elevator guy Leif that sucked the candy out of her mouth.
Part II- Aimee tells Danny she quits and ends the relationship. Heads to Long Island to house sit. Leif is neighbor. Meanwhile, glass floor escapades on the ‘past.’ Leif is Danny’s son and Danny was indicted. Bail set. Leif goes to talk to Danny- ends relationship- Danny shows up at Aimee’s summer home.
Part III- eh. Not as good as the first two parts. Wade shows up at beach house- turns out he’s FBI, helping her get Danny. She and Leif testify against him, day of trial, Leif is shot. Later dies. Danny is put in jail. We learn Aimee had been socking away $$ the whole time she worked at Montclair, 4mil to be exact. Covered it up working in accounting. Goes to live with mom, working to get brothers out of jail. Learns a bus of prisoners was in an accident and Danny was at large. At the end of the book she goes to get the mail and it’s a note from him saying she’s still his.
Last bit of book is about how Aimee took back the power he was trying to teach her to exude.

Aimee is from a small town is what most call trailer trash. Her mother is lazy, chain smoker that feeds her kids boxed dinners, her father is a drunk and abuses her mom. She also has two twin brothers that are always getting in trouble. Aimee's mom tells her to get a one way ticket to somewhere else that's when she goes to New York and meets Danny, which is twice her age but he falls for her and takes care of her. The story is a page turner and I couldn't put it down. I wanted to know the whole story which has so many twists and turns you can't put it down. Warning this book is dark but the sex scenes are hot!!!
The story of Aimee and Danny continues. I have to say that if I didn't have the second book I would have been biting my nails waiting for it. The story does go back and forth between the present and the past and is told with both Aimee and Danny's point of view. You have to follow along closely or you will get lost but I loved hearing both sides. At first I wished Aimee would grow a back bone but I also understood why she was the was she was. Thought out the whole story I thought Danny was a lying scumbag but he made the story. I couldn't get enough of them, and couldn't wait to crack open the third book to continue their story.
Part three is the last book in the series about Aimee and Danny. I was so glad to see Aimee get some what of a backbone. In this book we get to meet a new love interest for Aimee but he will surprise you and bring out the best in Aimee. The last book made me laugh, cry and scream NO!!' I wasn't sure I'd like a series that really doesn't have a hae but the story was so interesting I couldn't put it down. Will Danny ever leave Aimee alone? Will she be with her new love? Will her mother ever change? So many questions are answered in this last book BUT the ending was like, OMG!!! Please continue. I hope the author will continue with the characters, I just can't get enough!!!

I really don't know where to start with book...... I really did enjoy this story and the ending left me gaping and then smiling. I had a hard time in the beginning getting into this book but I honestly believe that is because of the copy I received and the formatting of it. I truly believe if the formatting had been better the flow of it would have been better and I would have been sucked it in right away. The story was very intriguing and kept me guessing and wanting to know what was going to happen. The story is definitely one of suspense and will keep you on your toes.

I received a copy of this book exchange for an honest review. This book is different from any other I had read but it was good to read it. Characters are strong, brave, stubborn and a let of ego going but to understand your worth you have to experience somethings like love or a great loss to know that you can build your self back up to show you are stronger in have all the control. Always love your self no matter and be your own person.

I loved this book so much!!! This book had me hooked from beginning to the very last period! I didn't want it to end!! This author is new to me and so far her books arnt that bad. It's about a girl who has a tough home life and it tells her story but not only that it tells her story away from home too. It's very dark and mysterious. It switches between the past and the present. It tells multiple sides of the sorry from different POVs. It's thrilling and emotional.

A book you can't guess the ending on
I enjoyed this read. The entire book kept me guessing ahead and I was wrong each time. There were some parts that made me think the characters were demented but once you read the entire series it makes sense. Good read that I didn't want to end.
