Dani struggles with relationships. She has yet to have one that has brought her anything other than pain. Her best friend rejected her in the most intimate way when they were teenagers. Her parent’s unwillingness to accept her sexuality after finding her in a compromising position, that person then disappearing without a trace being prime examples. Now she lives with her cousin, the only family member who accepts her, and has settled into work and a lifestyle she is happy with.
A chance encounter one night brings back old feelings she believed were dead and buried. A surprise proposition offers a chance to resolve unfinished business. Will this be a chance to renew a passion long thought buried? Or will this open old wounds that might not ever heal?
Zadie loves to read, so writing is an extension of that love, and an escape from daily life. Being a firm believer in everyone's freedom of expression, she allows her characters to play out those qualities. Zadie pushes her own boundaries, and curiosities through her writing, allowing her to express herself within the pages. She lives in England with her husband, children and an array of animals. https://www.facebook.com/zadiewanton/
I was given this book for honest review. In this book you meet Dani and her character and the plot surrounding her is focused on her and what has happened both in past and what happens in present I can't wait to see what happens next for Dani. Love Zadie's writing and can't wait to see what else she has in store if I could I would of given ten stars I loved this book that much.
I found this to be so much more than I expected. It's not just another F/F love story. It's a great example of what some gays go through as they try to "come out." ... The rejection, ridicule, and even bullying can absolutely decimate friendships, families and self esteam.... The characters continue to develope throughout this first part of the story. I especially like Kia. He is Dani's cousin, and had her come to live with him when her parents couldn't understand her life choice. He is Dani's rock. I also liked Frankie, she helped validate for Dani what she's always felt towards her own gender which is something she desperately needed. I hope we see more of her in the future. But the real issue for Dani is... Katie... Her estranged BBF (and secret love) from highschool who so cruely rejected Dani's kiss years ago. Well, she's is back..... And you're never going believe what she wants..... I do recommend this to 18+ I was gifted this book in return for my honest review.
I liked that this was not a typical F/F story. The character Dani has had a hard time being out as a lesbian. Her best friend rejected her, her parents threw her out and the one other relationship she had the person left. One night a chance encounter gives Dani an opportunity that she thought was lost to her. This story will pull you in and have you hanging on till the end.
😴 A LONG STORY FOR VERY (!!!) LITTLE (!!!) SATISFACTION!!!
The author dragged US through countless pages of descriptive prose from one unsatisfying SEXUAL encounter TO a reuniting years later; WITH ANOTHER (!!!) DISAPPOINTING SEXUAL ENCOUNTER but the TOPPER WAS IT WAS A THREESOME THAT ADDED A MAN (GROSS 😝) AND TOTALLY UNSATISFYING!!!
THIS AUTHOR CERTAINLY KNOWS HOW TO LEAVE HER READERS "UNSATISFIED" !!!
A good, entertaining story with interesting characters. It was a very enjoyable & easy to read. Anticipating the next part of this series. I recommend this book.

REVIEW Warning: This is a F/F story.
Katie and Dani have been friends for a long time and then one day something changes that friendship forever. Dani never once forgot what she felt towards Katie and then one night while out in a club her eyes land on that one who held her heart and burning desire all those years ago. Now what can Dani do?
Katie throws Dani for a loop by making a suggestion Dani never thought to hear from her friends’ mouth. Can she do it? Is her heart strong enough to go through this again?
This is a nicely written short story about friends, who lose touch all based on someone’s sexual preference. Can they rekindle that friendship or is it all a farce? Can Dani deal with the issue of her friends’ boyfriend and what he is wanting?
