This book is almost as old as me but so much of it is still relevant. It’s also adorable because the author and his wife took all of the photos (which were incredible and also felt so nostalgic because of the look/quality of the images) and they just love elk. While it was informative the author also incorporated a lot of his own experiences with elk, so it read at times more like a story. Niche subject but I love elk so here we are.

A more scientific field guide to the elk. Worth reading for anyone who thinks elk are cool, not just hunters. Written by a hunter-turned-photographer.

Basically Elk 101. Written by avid hunters/photographers with a lot of ecology knowledge, but more broad strokes of facts than nitty gritty. Some facts outdated since 90s, but well written!
