Alien supersoldier Vel Hacker is on a mission to save his people. Hiding out on Earth, the last thing he’s looking for is a love connection. Three pod grown, super soldiers have survived the harsh war with the Consortium of the Light only to land on Earth and realise their old enemies are about to target this little blue planet! It has become to feel like home as Raider and Leif have found mates amongst the humans but Hacker knows that even after eight long years there's no tug, no pull at all towards any female so he's resigned himself to doing what he does best, fight their enemy! In order to do that though these surviving Pact soldiers need to work with the secretive organisation known as Verum but Verum control the secret of time travel. Ok Hacker can cope with anything but meeting Ellen, the woman who willingly throws herself through time sends him into something he's never before experienced, panic! Ellen is his, Ellen may not want to agree but Hacker will use all his skills to protect her but what if he makes a dangerous mistake and changes time?
There are lots of interesting ideas thrown around here as the author puts her characters firmly in the crosshairs of time travel and it's possible repercussions . Without giving too much away it's fair to say that like ripples on water the effects can reverberate in untold ways and those who work for Verum understand this. Unfortunately the Pact guys do seem to repeatedly take chances without fully understanding the cost and yet again things don't quite go to plan.
I did enjoy this story and actually thought the paradox of the title turned out to be pretty cool. I particularly liked the way the author chose to end it as I could imagine all manner of possibilities. However the romance didn't quite seem convincing to me. I understood that Ellen having traveled forward in time previously knew about her mating but her obvious reluctance seemed to be overcome very easily. Yes it's a short story but unfortunately the pace of the romance felt a little off in my opinion. Still it was an interesting idea and the concept was explained very well. Is this the end? I hope not and will continue to look for this authors stories
I voluntarily read this book and my thoughts are my honest opinion

I have thoroughly enjoyed these aliens and their fight against time and the Consortium. Between the twisty time travel and the stoic alien soldiers who are DEFINITELY not looking for love, I've had a blast.

This time around, we have Hacker and Ellen. Hacker doesn't think there's anyone on Earth for him since the vortexes haven't shoved him in anyone's direction yet. Ellen has a little foreknowledge of the future due to her time traveling abilities and she's dead set against finding her match. Hacker's surprised at their connection, Ellen is resistant to him. IT'S GREAT!

Meanwhile, time travel craziness creates a paradox and Hacker and the others are hell-bent on figuring a way to unravel it. Except, some things can't be fixed and it looks like the earth is heading toward large scale destruction. OR IS IT?

Time travel, man, it messes with my head.

I'm sad to see these soldiers go, but happy they each got their chance to find a special lady friend. *thumbs up*

Hacker's name stemmed from what he does best computer hacking, he is a genius in hacking. Trying for awhile now Alex finally got him a meeting with Verum a vert old and secret organization, trying to become allies with them against the Consortium of Light. Paradox is the third installment in the Red Rock Alien Mail Order series and it’s best to read all 3 in order.

Ellen is a soldier, trained to fight for Earth while carrying the burden of knowing what the future holds and that it could be changed but unable to do anything about it. Hacker is also a soldier but now his only mission is to stop the Consortium of Light, a group of aliens that’s destroyed countless of worlds and that’s now fast approaching Earth.

The interaction between the two was a riot, especially when the couples from the previous books were present. When Hacker and Ellen first met, he instantly realized he had found his “mate” however, Ellen being the strong-willed woman she was, refused to believe her love life was already determined by some pre-destined fate. Hacker was a charmer and a cutie under all that computer and data knowledge exterior and apparently didn’t resent that she would be in command when it came to missions. Really, it was only a matter of time before she realized what she’d be giving up if she didn’t accept him.

I thought the story in itself was good but it lacked a bit of the intrigue and sense of adventure of the first two. It also gave me more insight to the organization created by the good guys and what they did. The ending was ok but I felt there were some things that the story could have delved more on because I felt there were some voids that needed filled. I really hope this is not the last one in the series if only because I’d like to know more of what happened after the group’s last mission.

*** I received this book from one of the authors at no cost to me and I volunteered to read it; this is my honest opinion and given without any influence by the author or publisher.***

4.5 Stars. It looks like this is the final book to focus on the Pact Warriors and I'm sad to see it end. I really enjoyed this fun, adventurous sci-fi romance series. This book centered on Ellen a time traveling human and Hacker one of the Pact Warriors. I wouldn't recommend reading this as a stand alone but start with book 1. They are all enjoyable and quick reads. I enjoyed both Ellen and Hacker and the dynamics in their relationship. This book had some fun humor and I got a laugh out of the terminator references. The time traveling aspects were very interesting, thought provoking and had me slowing down to make sure I caught it all. The wrap up at the end was great and I loved catching up with all the couples throughout this 3 book series.

Original review: https://myshelfbooks.wordpress.com/20...

With this third book I finish the first saga inside the megasaga called Intergalactic Dating Agency (I call it first, because it is the first one I have read. No idea if they must be read in a proper order). It wasn’t what I expected. It has been surprisingly much better. Yeah, I picked the books due to the meat display of the covers; but I stayed thanks to the easy fun and fast pace. Not that I’m ignoring now the six packs and the big shoulders. It just that they are not the only reasons to keep coming back. Let’s start the review before I start rambling about hunky male cover models!

We go back to the Red Rock mountains to meet Hacker, another supersolider who survived the war and now is hiding on Earth. He is working side by side with Raider and Leif and their mates in order to prepare Earth for the war against the Consortium of Light. An event that is going to happen way sooner than expected. In order to get better results, they must ally weith the Verum, human time travelers that have operated in secrets for ages. That is how Hacker meets Ellen, the woman that the vortexes have designtated as his mate… Can a time traveler spare some time for love?

The thing I love about these books is their short length, the intense pace and the boundless action. Paradox doesn’t disappoint in that regard and it has even much more time invested on action scenes than the previous book. As soon as the main characters meet, we go from one fight to another. It doesn’t matter if it is hand-to-hand combat or a blaster exchange or even a space battle. It could feel cramped for such a short book, but the transtions are fluid and logical. Or at least is like that during most of the book. I must admit that by the end, the train was going so fast that I lost the vagon and it was impossible to get on it again. If someone asks me to explain them what happens during the last couple of chapters I would sadly inform them that I’m not the person with answers. I LOVE craziness for light readings, but this one was too much even for me. Nevertheless, it was fun and fulfilling; so I won’t complaint too much.

Shockingly, the romantic part of this book is almost null. If you blink you could miss it, so there is not much time to develop a good relationship. I guess that’s why the author uses the old trick of putting a time traveler there. Someone who already knew Hacker and Ellen were going to be the real deal. As it was a fact, there was no need of explaining it further. That would have pissed me off in other kind of books, more serious ones if I must say. For a story that is meant as filler and a killer of time, that’s an issue that won’t have any effect on my enjoyment. Even though I stand by that statement, I must also admit that in this case I wouldn’t have minded more bonding time between the characters. The reason is due to Hacker’s bahaviour when he first meets Ellen. He is outrageously cute behaving like a puppy, but also displaying a lot of sexy cockiness. I really love those few moments when they try to know each other a little better. More of those would have been welcome.

And nothing else to say without spoiling too much of the book. Great world-building, that could have had a better ending; but if it works, it works. Let’s hope the other sagas are as easy-to-read and enjoyable as this one.

This novella is a great addition to the Red Rock franchise of the Alien Dating Service series. The Red Rock area near Sedona, AZ is home to wormholes, known to humans as vortexes. Aliens have been traveling through them for years, known only to the humans living in the Sedona area. The rest of the Earth's population is oblivious. In book one, we were introduced to three bioengineered Pact betrayed soldiers who have come to Earth. This book features one of them, Hacker, who is, of course, an IT expert. The book introduces several members of the Verum, an ancient organization made up of time runners who protect Earth. One of them is Ellen Murphy, who has a test mission for the former Pact warriors. And though she doesn't believe in arranged matings, a la fate, she does believe in information gleaned from her forays into the future. Crimony!!

Third book in the series. This one is about the last member of an alien group, Hacker. The group of three where each grown to be a certain type of soldier. They were made more than born as full adults. Hacker speciality is computers and hacking. The group with the humans who have been added are trying to save the Earth. But since time travel is possible to some extent, anything is possible.

A sci-fi adventure romance. Not a long story but very enjoyable.

Book 3 marks the end of Kellison's intergalactic dating trilogy. She successfully manages to run four separate love stories in three novellas while introducing, planning for, and resolving a massive alien threat to the planet Earth. That takes some serious talent. I've yet to find another novella author who can keep me engaged to the level she does.

Please tell me this is not the last book of this series, because it was just too good! As one of three Pact soldiers on earth, Hacker is focused on his mission to align the Verum with the Pact. He did not anticipate meeting his mate in the form of the Verum soldier, Ellen. Ellen already knows who Hacker is and what their relationship is supposed to be. But as a Time Jumper, Ellen would like a little more say so in her future than what the pull of the vortexes are making her feel. Hacker and Ellen may not get the chance to explore their attraction, as information from the future shows there may not be an Earth left in a matter of days.

I was totally engrossed with this story. I’ve already come to care so much about the characters and the story, I knew I needed to devour this book and quick. There’s the action, suspense, and romance that I love, and I know I won’t be disappointed in the plot details. Kellison ends the story in such a way that one can feel closure, but also in a way that opens the door for more. And I, for one, am hoping it’s the latter.

Paradox is the last story of a trio of alien soldiers who come to earth after losing the war they were made to fight. In this story Hacker friend of Leif and Raider takes the spotlight and finds himself at first very hesitant to meet their contact from earth's time travelers. Ellen is very irritated to be in this position as well considering she know's the future because of her time hopping. The two of them soon become embroiled in a situation they never expected to be and aren't quite sure how they got into in the first place. Information that shouldn't exist suddenly does and puts all of earth in jeopardy. As soon as Hacker laid eyes on Ellen he knew she was the one, all of the vortex energy tells him so and while Ellen tries to deny it even she can feel the pull and gives Hacker a chance by allowing him to take her out to dinner. Once the information comes out that Hacker can't trust anyone but the two other aliens that he is close personal friends with he feels betrayed and takes matters into his own hands, Ellen knows him well enough to know he's up to trouble and stops him just in time to keep him from making a bad situation worse. But now the six close friends have to try and stop bad from getting worse. They manage to come up with a plan and somehow the twists keep coming. I did like the twist at the end but I also feel like the story line is left unresolved leaving us wondering if there will be another story in the Alien Mail Order Bride series. Paradox - Red Rock Alien Mail Order Brides 3 (Intergalactic Dating Agency)
Erin Kellison

5 Stars

Hacker is a Pact soldier on Earth trying to help the Verum protect the planet from the Consortium of Light's impending invasion. He's been on Earth for eight years, learning to blend, considers this planet his home, but figured he'd live, fight and die alone, like he was bred to do, until until Alex and his Verum representative walked into the room.

Ellen Murphy didn't believe in predestination. She believed in choice. So when she was told she'd meet her mate on this mission, only to walk into the room and be confronted by a pact soldier who was looking at her like she's a gift from heaven? Someone point her in another direction.

Unfortunately, Fate isn't that kind. For her mission to succeed, she needs Hacker's skills. The other Pact soldiers skill sets won't get her what she needs. She needs to get into the Consortium's server, and Hacker can do that. They'd work together, but it'd be on her terms, and he'd keep his hands and other body parts to himself.

I'm really hoping that this isn't the end of the series, despite the fact that we're out of Pact soldiers. The world-building is great. The guys and their backgrounds have good set up, though some backstory would have been nice to see. There was plenty of room for it. In this instance, a flashback would have been welcome, maybe as the hero shared a story with the heroine so we can see why they were created, and why there are so few left. I'd also like to see more of the Verum. If this is an exisiting series, someone email me. :).

Very face paced writing, good dialogue. Monologue isn't too wordy. Very well done. If you like a good Sci-fi romance, look up Erin Kellison and Paradox, but don't forget Quantum and Axion!

Paradox (Red Rock Alien Mail Order Brides #3) by Erin Kellison pulls you back into the imaginative world of her creation. If you have seen the Red Rock area around Sedona, you could totally get into the idea of the place having multiple vortexes. I love how she included a real place in her science fiction series. Part of why I read this author’s work is because she can take you to places unknown and unseen except in your mind as you are reading. This series has done just that again.

This seems to be the final book of her three Pact warriors with the last of the three finally finding his mate. It will take all three couples to save themselves and the planet earth. Hacker and Ellen are wonderful together even with Ellen’s reluctance. Their story continues the danger, the romance the wide spectrum of emotions and the adventure from the first two books. Personally, I enjoyed the team work between the three soldiers which spread as each mate joined the group.

The author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book. My honest review is voluntary.

Paradox is the third book in the Red Rock Alien Mail Order Brides, and we meet Hacker in more depth. He is the third of the Pact Soldiers and does exactly as his name suggests. Ellen is a soldier working for the Verum. They come together as Pact and Verum try to see if they can trust each other. The vortex moves for Hacker when he first meets Ellen, but she acts coldly towards him, which in turn, just makes him hotter for her. There is also a mission to the future, which brings into play the 'paradox' of the title.

Although I love this series, this one just didn't work as well for me. The relationship between Hacker and Ellen seemed to go from a flat-out NO, to them being together, with nothing in between. I did love the story with Alex and Cindi, but I won't go into any further detail on that, except that I loved how it all panned out.

Very well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt my reading flow, I still enjoyed this story, and have no hesitation in recommending this book, or the series.

Red Rock Alien Mail Order Brides Book Three; Intergalactic Dating Agency Book Sixteen

In their final mission to keep Earth out of The Consortium of Light's clutches, the former Pact soldiers plan to work with the Verum. Once Alex introduces Ellen, the Verum's representative, to the group Hacker knows he's been tapped. His mate is before him. While Ellen knows the same thing, she fights the pull of the Vortex because she knows that fate is an ever-changing entity. With the fate of the world on their shoulders, can everyone work together? Pact with Verum, Ellen with Hacker?

If you're looking for the conclusion to this out-of-the-world series, you're in for a ride!

Hacker is a pact soldier who came to earth 8 years ago to find the Verum. A group that protects earth. it will take them and the pact soldiers together to defeat the consortium now.
The quantum pull of the wormholes had brought two of the surviving pact solders together with their mates.
One of the girls has a brother Alex who is part of the Verum and he brings a Verum Representative to see their group. when Hacker lays eyes on her he knows the quantum was pulling him to her. Ellen Murphy is a Verum lead time runner and his mate. If they can survive the consortium that is.

Thoughts: Oh, I hope this doesn't mean it's over!! I've really been enjoying this series!! Hacker being all love-struck was hilarious, he was so goofy about it. And Ellen, trying to act like the connection wasn't there, being all badass, it was awesome! Ms. Kellison has a way of pulling you into the story so you devour the pages and has you groaning/screaming/crying when it's over. So far there hasn't been a book of her's that isn't worth reading. I really liked this sci-fi world, there were so many new types of characters that were just fascinating and unique. Can't wait to see what Ms. Kellison comes up with next!!

The third book in this series, Paradox tell Hacker's story.( I would recommend reading all the series in order.) One of the Pact soldiers created in a test tube, Hacker stumbles upon his mate while battling the bad guys of the Verum. Time hopping to save the world , tough and snarky Ellen fights her inevitable attraction to Hacker while just trying to survive. A fast-paced, quick read, this book comes in at a little under a 100 pages of a sci-fi good ride with a nice HEA. My voluntary review was based upon a review copy.

Alien supersoldier, Vel Hacker is on a mission to save his people. Time Runner Ellen Murphy is charged with evaluating him as a potential ally, and he is unprepared for the cosmic surge of attraction he feels toward her and the undeniable knowledge this human female is his future. Ellen knew some space invader is supposedly her mate. But when she finally meets the ruggedly handsome Hacker, her senses go supernova. Ellen is forcibly against Hacker, but only because she knew it would be him ahead of time. Hacker wants Ellen, but can tell she id holding herself away from him.

These Red Rock Alien Mail Order Brides books are so much fun. They are tongue in cheek while remaining sexy and full of action. Paradox is no different. Hacker and Ellen make a fantastic couple (once they let themselves be a couple) and they have a romping good time while saving the galaxy (or at least Earth). You definitely want to check this one out -- you will not be disappointed. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review.
