People who know me as a reader will tell you, "He likes everything he reads!" They'd be right, too...I spend so much time choosing books to read that I hardly ever pick one I don't enjoy. That streak ended with The Last Pokémon Master, though. I read it because over the last six months, I've really gotten into this video game, which is also popular with the children I teach. I thought this book would be fun to pass around and have in the class library. Had it been better written (some of the problems may be due to the fact that it is translated) and better plotted and written by someone (or just given a cursory look by someone) who was familiar with the game...okay, had it been a different book entirely...it would have been a welcome to my classroom. As it is, however, I'm going to try to sell it to the used book store. Wish me luck...maybe they won't know how bad it really is!

This book was so great, i want to give it ten stars. I love pokemon and especially pokemon go, whenever i first seen this book at my school library, i did not think much of it, but when i read this amazing book, i turned out to love the book, the characters and their personalities, all that.
I would recommend this book to a pokemon go loving person, especially one that grinds the game. I like that the Charmander with Lucas stuck with him through all the story, as well as his friends pokemon.

A great read for young pokemon fans. The dialogue between the children felt formal/stiff.
