Though published in the late 90s and out-of-date, Elements of Web Design offers a great introduction to website development. I would recommend this book for anyone interested in learning HTML coding. Unfortunately, I found the section on cascading style sheets very confusing, but I still hope that the author(s) and publisher(s) produce an updated 3rd edition.
