McKinley High School was seemingly an ordinary school filled with the stereotypical students; the older brother with unrealistic expectations, the homecoming queen and best friend sidekick, the school nerd whose main objective in life was to achieve the impossible, the golden boy who was the star quarterback and reliable boyfriend, and the elusive girl next store who wasn’t content with her charming life. On the surface they look like a normal group of high school teens, but Lila and her friends would soon be on the journey of their lives—finding out their history and discovering who they are individually and together. Secrets are part of their everyday lives. No one talks about their past or their family history. What they will discover on this journey will change how they view the past, prepare for the future, and live in the moment. They will learn that they are more than the labels society puts on them and are stronger together. Together they will unveil the government’s most well kept secret, The Infinity Project, as they seek to find answers about their past and their people.
This is a flash story about a city girl with a southern personality. I say hey y’all, bake homemade coconut cream pie, drink sweet tea, have a Golden Retriever, am a musician, travel, love seersucker and bow ties, go to church on more days than just Sunday, and spend time with the family. I work too hard, drink too little (not at all), and love the life the good Lord has given me. I hope to be an inspiration to others, and help them know that the recipe for success is not measured by how much money one earns, but how one touches people’s life.
