KOMODO is the story of a woman's desperate struggle for survival among the Islands of the Timor sea, when what was to be a family outing in the shape of a 'Cruise around the Islands off the Northern coast of Australia,' suddenly developes into a tragic disaster. They encounter heavy weather shortly after sailing from Darwin in their 40 foot sloop and are swept far to the West. Boarded by pirates in the Arafura Sea, they are left with one of the party seriously injured and a badly damaged and leaking boat that finally flounders on the reef of a remote Island in the Timor Sea. They soon discover that what they at first thought was a deserted island, is in fact, the home of a fearsome beast with an insatiable apetite for Human flesh.
