At first glance, Gabi has it all together. She's smart, beautiful and takes pride in being a shoulder for everyone to cry on…but when no one is around and reality sets in, she's filled with hurt—a hurt that she can't seem to overcome. Everywhere she turns, she's reminded of the reasons that trust isn't too high on her priority list. But when her heart forms a bond with the one man that she's been trying to steer clear of, her entire mindset begins to change.
For most of his life, Caleb has been that guy—the one that no woman should take seriously. He's a playboy, and he doesn't shy away from the title. Women know upfront what he's bringing to the table, and if they don't like it, then they can keep it moving. But what happens when the tables turn?
Caleb isn’t used to being the one begging for more, but when it comes to Gabi…that’s exactly the case. He can't stay away, and he doesn't want to. Determined to get what he wants, Caleb goes the extra mile to win Gabi’s heart. But when lines are crossed, and trust is broken, everything takes a turn for the worst. Something so promising quickly turns into heartbreak.
Will there be a future for Caleb and Gabi? Or will walking away from each other become their only option?
I started this series a few years ago and was determined to complete it this year (2021). The book was pretty much a simple read that i could not wait to end. My reading has elevated to a much higher level since the start of this series so with that being said i out grew the series and the authors writing style. I must say that i am glad of the happy ending!!
Great 3rd book I loved Caleb and Giab story it was a struggle at first but Love overcome and beat all the Odds!!!!! A.C. Taylor has done it again thanks and Happy reading everyone...
Caleb cheats. I don't care if they haven't officially called themselves girlfriend and boyfriend. They were sleeping with each other and no one else. They were hanging out with each other's families. I call that a commitment. And Gabi forgives him like that!! Hellllllllll no!!!!!!! Also Caleb and Naomi gaslight Gabi and makes Gabi believe that Caleb cheating was Gabi's fault and she has no reason to her feelings. Naomi continues to be a trash ass bitch.

So I loved the writing, banter of comedic dialogue but I just couldn't get down with the semantics of the relationship. I'm a firm believer if you are getting serious about someone then your focus should be on that one person. A title is just a title when you are BEHAVING as a couple. This man admitted his love and then turned around and had sex with a woman who his WOMAN had issues with. That wasn't cool at all and not very sanitary, especially him coming back and having sex with her in his office. I felt like it was cheating because there was dishonesty. If it was okay then why lie? He lied because it was wrong. Now she was wrong in some scenarios but she wasn't out there bustin it wide open for other men, her issues were due to emotional trauma that he knows she had going in. And she wasn't sexing men that he had a issue with at that. So there is really no comparison. That to me is what makes it worse. It's the fact that he KNEW he shouldn't have and did it, being drunk is not a legitimate excuse, especially when you called that person. Temptation is not something that should be involved in petty disagreements about phone calls or petty arguments. So to me this wasn't really a love story. Gabbi did the same thing again that she allowed with her ex. Seen the fault in herself but not the fault in the man she was in a relationship with. The fact that they didn't call it a relationship didn't mean shit. He changed his number bc of her being uncomfortable with the other woman yet him having sex with that same woman was glossed over. They weren't in a relationship when he changed his number.
I love this authors writings and real dilemma and drama, but I would have preferred if a lot of time had passed before the reconciliation and him admitting to how wrong his actions were and her asking him how he would have felt in the same scenario.
Love Me Series Love Me When It Counts Love When It Hurts Love Me Or Lose Me
Naomi convinced herself that she did not need love. Sex with no strings attached was just fine with her. With Niam she tried so hard to live by her motto but her heart, just wouldn't not her be. Not because she didn't want to love him, she was afraid of opening herself to him, thinking she could never be his type. Niam was attracted to the one woman man, while Naomi didn't believe in relationships at all. You can deny things all you want, but 9 times out of 10, the heart always wins, or does it? When someone pops up from Niam past, can Naomi hold on to the trust she built in him? Is Niam doing too much when it comes to Guinn and Nola? How much can Naomi take, can she put up with before she just gives up on everything? Caleb, one who not down for the love department. Just let him hit and he's just fine with that. Gabi, she's not looking for the wham, bam, thank you ma'am. If it's not meaningful, you can keep it moving. Gabi has fallen but is torn with developing feelings for a man that once shared something with someone who is dear to her heart. When 2 are looking for something totally different, is it possible to create a perfect love that no one could see coming?
I really love this title for this series, she hit on the nail! 4*
The book had been going well. I love the relationship and interactions between Gabi and Caleb. I even love the conflict that developed toward the end. What I absolutely hate that dropped it to 2 stars. Most probably not even worth 2 .. was how the author must cut the end into Gabi accepting that Caleb could have sex with someone and just let it go without a conversation, counselling , tackling it head on. It was an absolute bust and very disappointing. I had to skip back several pages to see what chapters I missed where they had laid out their issues on the table and come to a resolution. There was none
Someone you dealing with (even if the relationship wasn’t officially called but you guys expected exclusivity) and they step out and he says you’re not perfect are you and you smile and accept it ? What kind of woman’s empowerment. And black woman’s empowerment is that? Where is her worth??
Take a deep breath and imagine one of the most complicated relationships one has ever had to endure. Then close your eyes and think of Caleb and Gabi. The two of them have issues that make you want to cuss. But what brings it all together is Niam and Naomi. Helping to navigate them through unchartered territory. You see friends with benefits can only go so far. The layers that lead one or more parties wanting more is real. Having both needing to overcome family and relationship baggage, it was good to see Caleb and Gabi whether the storms.
I enjoyed this book but it seemed rushed at the end. It feels like there should have been more to her forgiving Caleb. Naomi's speech wasn't realistic, they weren't official but him sleeping with her was definitely wrong because of who it was and where they were at dating wise. It could have been forgiven but not that simply. Otherwise it was a good book.
Caleb should have told Gabi about Alexis sooner than for her to find out. But should have never kept their relationship secret. You can only imagine how he felt in the situation. Also Casey should have been told about her father than for her to have to find out the way she did. Her mom should have said something.
I really enjoyed Gabi and Caleb's story. It was almost the role reversals of Naomi and Niam. However, I found Gabi to be even more complex and entertaining. Great read!
I loved this one it was truly a match made in heaven. It held you until the end on what's going to happen. I hope there's one more install for them because they did the most.
Caleb and Gabi were too funny! Her friend Cori and his friend Alexis were some trifling women. I felt sorry for his sister, I feel like their Mom was tough on her. This series is a must read. This actor is great!
I’ve read all of her books, but these three books were awesome sauce! This book has arguments, fighting, shouting, but most importantly, it has love. This book makes you laugh & wanna fight too. A complex story but very worth the read. 😉
I knew that Gabi and Caleb's relationship would be a lot of work, but I did not foresee Gabi as the stalemate in the game. Gabi wanted to use his man parts, but she didn't want to put s name on it. It was okay to ride him like a new pony, yet the 'R' word was out of the question. Yes both had some family issues. Gabi's mother's abandonment, and Caleb dealing with his Mom and sister's strained issues over her father. I guess he wasn't Caleb's father? Then there was the Keith and Cori problem for Gabi. And also Caleb and Alexis were casually fooling around. The back stories at times kept distracting me, and I needed them to shut up, so I could deal with fine a$$ Caleb and Gabi's things. Just so you know, the sexy stuff was off the foe real sheezy, as I emulate the prophetic poet Snoop Dog.. Ha ha!!! 5 stars readers., however, you will need to catch the other books in the series first so you'll know why Gabi was so much work!
Ac girl you have done it again. I love me some Caleb. He messed up but he got it right in the end. Gabi had some series issues glad she pulled it together to. I'm so glad Gabi beat Cori and Alexis a**. Can't wait to see what else you have in store for your readers.
Yes Yes Yes!!!! You definitely did your thing with this one AC! Gabi n Caleb has the craziest lovable relationship lol I knew he was gonna hve her all mushy n her having him!!!! Niam n Naomi still going strong YASSSSS a queen that can't b knocked from her throne!!
Awesome! Gabi and Caleb kept me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions! But it was worth it in the end. Niam and Naomi were the icing on the cake. 1-click and find out if Gabi and Caleb find love or loss!
I finished Caleb & Gabi's story but there were several characters that I wanted to chop in the throat! Cori, Alexis, Caleb, Gabi just to name a few! I wanted to stop reading but I had to see how everything would play out in the end.
Gabi and Caleb was like a basketball, kept bouncing back and forth. The story was predictable in some areas and touched on real life scenarios in other areas. It ended how it should have ended.
