Crazy book.. many of the ideas are not evidence base. One of which is water fluoridation. Water fluoridation is proven to have significant beneficial effect in reducing dental carries.
Also, all dentist should be holistic.. I’m not sure if the idea of conventional dentistry is exist. We appreciate and treat the human body as a whole.
Moreover, dentists have different approach for treatment. We are required to explain to the patient their options and treating them after informed consent. This is the same with all health practitioners. And Yes, there is argument about root canal and other procedures.
Amalgam filling have been reduced over the last few years. Nowadays, almost all dental schools treat amalgam as biological hazard and many don’t teach students to place it. However, we still see some patients demand amalgam for its mechanical properties.
As dentist we taught to follow evidence base and questions techniques. Patient interest is one of the basic requirements in making a good dentistry.

I learned a little about the dangers of root canals. The book seemed repetitive. Mission accomplished though, I had my root canals removed. There seems to be a lot of information about getting root canals but not much on their dangers, and about getting them removed.
