A perfectly frothy fashion fantasy.

How delightful! Our bright-eyed and bushy-tailed 15yo protag is visiting her fabulous fashion designer aunt, who has a boutique at the high-end Mirrors department store in Manhattan. Can she ace her interview for the Fashion Institute of Technology’s summer program, think of a creative new party favor for her aunt’s big Christmas event (it’s The Event of the season!!), get the cute preppy boy, AND look fabulous all at the same time??

- the outfit and store descriptions do not disappoint (helloooo giant Christmas tree display of LEG WARMERS ARRANGED BY COLOR)
- Extra credit for the cool designer mentions (ooo Sonia Rykiel and Kenzo)
- Love a cozy holiday winter setting in the Big Apple (FAO Schwartz and Rockefeller get a shoutout)
- Lol @ the celeb references (“Goldie Hawn is a regular client of my aunt!”, also Steven Spielberg’s “model girlfriend”)
- Can’t have a fashion story without a satisfying makeover montage

Well, i can say it is one of the best books i read and i really want to read all the rest from this set. The author has an incredibly style to write so i could understand very easely what is about and wat is the theme and purpose of this book. I think it is a thought provoking book and it has all it needs to be a top fashion novel story :)
