The Regards of a Rogue is not just one book, it is three novellas that follow a group of friends, and associates. It is one excellent way to keep up with the couple that was in the story before. I found that very worthwhile. I love knowing what happens in the months following a story ends. I always find myself wondering if they were happy, fulfilled and able to really work past the difficulties that presented themselves during the unfolding of their novel.

The first novella is such a rewarding story. the hero is just that. I would take a man like him any day. He was charming, even if a little shy, commanding, even if he was new to that behavior, and he was appreciative of his opportunities. All these features made Levi my most favorite character in this trilogy of novellas. When Priscilla flirts with him, it is so sweet and sets a wonderful tone for the rest of the story.

The second book is concerning Hugh and Olive. Olive is not your raging beauty, she is, however, smart, loving and strong. She is an excellent character to mesh with these other well-rounded characters.

We are introduced to Max the hero of the third book through Levi. We get to know him as a strong force of nature that will do whatever is asked of him by the King. He is a special type of soldier and he is intelligent. This book is filled with intelligent characters and I loved them all the more for it. There is a trio of brainiacs that are adorable. They are men of science, mathematics and anything new in the scientific world. It is a glimpse into a world I usually do not hear mentioned in books and it made it very special.

If I read it right, we might be in store for yet another chapter in the lives of these friends and associates. I am hoping that I read that correctly

Historical Christian Fiction. 1850's London Society Romance novel that is clean. I read the whole series that was out by February 2017 during February 2017. I love the way the author introduced characters and the peripheral characters from the previous book become the main characters of the next. These are just fun, easy reads that all have different nuances to their stories.

Book Order:
1. To Love a Lord of London
2. The Regards of a Rogue
3. Gaining the Gentleman
4. The Skills of a Scoundrel
5. A Gentleman's Game
6. The Gentleman's Game of Love
7. The Gentleman's Law on Love

Levi & Priscilla Life has changed drastically for Levi. Once the manservant to a powerful and cruel Duke, upon the man’s death Levi discovers he is in fact the Duke’s son from his first, unknown, marriage, and he has inherited just about everything – including the title. When it’s discovered that the former Duke was murdered, Levi is the first one under suspicion Priscilla had once flirted harmlessly with a servant only to soon discover that the servant was now a duke. Servant or Duke, she still found Levi attractive and wanted to know him better. His dilemma now in being a suspect in a murder allows her to help him, get closer to him and perhaps find happiness together.

Hugh & Olive Olive was plain, twenty and practically on the shelf. With no dowry, and a worthless drunken, gambling father her life was absolutely miserable. Especially since once again, at a wedding celebration he’d found a place to gamble away funds that he didn’t have – and offered her. It wasn’t the first time, but she’d make it the last as she intended to run away. But one gentleman with troubles of his own put a stop to that. Somehow Hugh saw something within Olive that changed him, and surprising them both he offered marriage – on the spot. Only Hugh faced far larger demons than Olive could have ever imagined. They will be the answer to each other’s dreams – but first they had to survive.

Max & Amanda We’ve seen a bit of Max in the two previous stories and now he gets his turn at finding love. Although the’d be the first to say he didn’t want or need a woman in his life. But someone did, and Max went about securing the lady’s affections in an odd manner – even for him. It wasn’t long before Max’s past comes back to haunt them – and he has to risk Amanda’s love and hope they can survive what he must do.

Once again I completely enjoyed myself in this world. Although I enjoyed each story, it was Hugh and Olive that truly captured my heart this time around. They faced the harshest reality and yet their love remained as a stronghold for them each.

Three stories, three couples who may have seemed oddly matched turn out to be perfect for each other. If you’re in the mood for some sweet and clean Regency Romance then I’d recommend this story, and the entire series. You’ll find likable, believable couples with engaging secondary characters who will one day have their tales told as well.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

I love Eleanor Meyers Wardington Park books of romance and extraordinary love matches.

In this book, we are introduced to three love matches beginning with Priscilla and Levi falling in love. Then we have the intrigue of Hugh and Olive's fall into love. Lastly we see Sir Max St. Cloud and Amanda's journey to love and happiness. What unbelievable luck it was for me to discover such an amazing author and teller of love stories.

4.5 stars.

Lovely book in much the same style as the first: 3 novellas/stories in 1 book, but while relatively "short", they each manage to fully close with a satisfying HEA. While the heroes in these stories weren't who I thought they would be (mainly because I was looking for the elusive Sir Mark's story), they still manage to engage the reader in the next story by presenting its main characters in the previous one (thus, eagerly anticipating Hugh's and Max's respective stories).

Better than the first book.

These short stories are short but good. When I finish one I’m left feeling happy and excited to read the next. I liked this set of stories better than the first set. They were cute and romantic.

The Regards of a Rogue by Eleanor Meyers is brilliantly captivating. Three sets of characters that will lure readers in like honey is for bees. The romance is hot, addictive, and intriguing. There is always someone trying to protect the other person and it is then, that fate creates an up breakable spell upon them all. Each set of characters are easy to relate to...their lives mimicking reality of today. I fell in love immediately. Steamy, suspenseful, and clean.

The first set of characters provides a strong female heroine. A man making his way up in society and danger that can put all at risk. Murder has been done and the leading suspect is the good guy. A woman is determined to prove his innocence. Going about it will put their hearts and lives at risk.

Then, the second pair are just as interesting. This second set is highly entertaining just like the ones before them. However, their lives and personalities are much more different. Or shall I say, more difficult. A man facing his own struggles and a promise of a good life. But it all depends if he can succeed. Then, the lady is one wanting to escape her lifestyle. After meeting a particular man, she believes her life will be great. But there is something she doesn't know. Will fate bring them together or leave them to suffer alone?

Last but not least, the third set of characters will truly melt the hearts of readers everywhere. Imagine a tough as hell man who is suddenly given a new role in life. His new role is to care for a little girl. Completely, out of his element, he asks for help. In the form a beautiful woman who wants nothing more than to move up within society, Amanda has choices to make. Help a man take care of a little girl or go after a life of titles. Fate brings two unlikely individuals together for a fabulous read. A family may just be in the future for these two adults...

Eleanor Meyers is a talented writer. Her writing style has a way of bringing me back to her novels time and time again. Fast-paced plots with exciting characters. Believable and beautifully written. The Regards of Rogue is a definite must read for all. I highly recommend this read to readers everywhere. Anyone who loves historical romances, will love this book.

After reading To Love a Lord in London, I thought that book was so good that it would be hard to beat. I was wrong. Ms. Meyers has given us another three part book that is even better than the previous one.
The stories of Levi and Priscilla, Hugh and Olive, and Max and Amanda are each very different, and the characters are brought to life by the author. Each story deals with different problems, and treats each problem sympathetically, yet realistically. Hugh’s struggle with substance abuse and Olive’s attempts to help him is especially touching, but the other two couples are equally as appealing.
I live in hope that there are a lot more branches to these families, and that Ms. Meyer plans to introduce us to as many of them as possible in future books. Very highly recommended book and series.

Parts of this book I really like, others, not so much and the storyline was a bit confusing to me. Although, in looking at previous reviews, someone mentioned that it is better to read TO LOVE A LORD OF LONDON, book 1 to get a better understanding. Perhaps, that is the missing link for me.
This book is divided into three parts. Parts two and three were my favorite .

Part one happened so fast, very little conflict, a happily ever after, it left me blinking. However, the story was sweet, engaging, and entirely likeable, just ended more abruptly than felt comfortable.
The Epilogue that follows really seemed to be a side conversation which didn’t feel it tied into the first story. That's where I was confused.

Part two, about Hugh and Olive had more traction for me. It held some suspense, and wit. Olive, was a woman who blended into the decorations of a ball.

Excerpt:
Amanda tapped her hands on the table, her eyes lighting with blue fire. She was so passionate about everything. “Olive, you’re not dreadfully plain; you’re simply…unvarnished.”

Edith narrowed her eyes. “Unvarnished? Is she to be compared to wood?”

“No.” Amanda shook her head. “I’m simply saying that she is a lady pure of heart and without all the extra jewels and excessive garments that we other women need.” She smiled at Olive. “One day, you’ll find the right person, and he’ll fall madly in love with you.” She had the habit to speak in conviction and in a way that made one believe everything she said. Olive smiled, not being able to help it, but in the end, she knew the truth. Next year she wouldn’t even have the funds to enter another season. The season had been her last which meant Olive would have to make other arrangements for herself.

********

Olive had the misfortune of being the daughter of a man who couldn’t keep away from the gaming table. He’d even gamble with the stable help. One evening, he gambled her away (she heard it happening). She would have no part of it. She ran! Procuring a horse, she ran into the worst of luck. The owner, Hugh Garret, the Viscount of Windorland was drunk, sleeping next to the steed she was stealing from the barn. Needless to say, she was caught and the story takes off. Hugh is a very interesting and likeable fellow, but has serious challenges in his life. It appears Olive is just the remedy for his misery.

Part Three is about Max and Amanda who we already met earlier in the book.
Max is an exceptional man, lots of control, with merits and determination. His past comes to haunt him. Because of his honor and goodness of heart, he becomes the guardian of his wife’s daughter, not his own child. Lots of character development in this section. Characters are thoroughly likeable and I found myself cheering Hugh on.

Amanda wanted to be a lady of means. She wanted to be known as Lady Amanda, which means she much marry a peer. When one snob of a peer approached her at a dance, she snubbed him. She was overheard by Max, a man who wouldn’t be suitable for her at all, yet, she is curious. She decides to take the job of governess, because she saw Lydia needed her. It appears Max did, too.

There is a teaser at the end of the read. Duke of Wardington has not been able to marry off his youngest son, Mark. He has a wager of sorts with the Dowager Countess Abigail Cartridge. He’d receive no kiss from her until his last son was married. He is having a devil of a time getting that to happen. So more is to come in this series which should be quite entertaining.

Three charming short books that interconnect and also connect with Ms. Meyers' previous book, although you can read them as stand alone books. Each story involves a gentleman with issues and the lady who can help them solve them. Since the characters start as background characters in the previous stories, you get to know them by the time their story is told. My favorite was the last Book, Max and Amanda. As much as I enjoyed the three books, I found myself wishing there were only two books, so that the stories could evolve more slowly, as I felt events moved along a bit too quickly. I look forward to the next book. I received a copy of this book for my honest opinion.

This like the first book isn’t just one book it’s actually three novellas in one. This book follows Levi and Priscilla, Hugh and Olive and lastly Max and Amanda. I really enjoyed getting to keep up to date with the couples in the first book and found it was such a clever way to interlink each of the stories and characters.

Three sweet stories of men with a past who are definitely NOT going to marry - until they meet the women who save them. In the first story, Levi Smith, assistant to the Duke of Hensman finds out that he is actually the Duke's son when the Duke's will is read. The assumed heir accuses him of murdering the hateful Duke but LEvi is the only one who had ever really liked the duke. After a check, it is discovered that the Duke had indeed been murdered.
Lady Priscilla Garrett had been attending the wake and decided to practive her flirting skills on someone safe - Levi, not knowing he was going to become the Duke. When both attend a houseparty, Priscilla decides that she will help Levi clear his name. How can he resist a woman who saw him as a man and not a title.
In the second story Lady Olive Heath, is gambled away to a stable boy when her father loses at cards. When she tries to run away, she stumbles upon Hugh Garrett, the Viscount of Windorland. He offers to marry her, not for love but to protect her. The only problem is that she is poor and he has been cut off. With the wedding his father agrees to allow support him as long as Max St Cloud acts as his valet and controls the money. The marriage is happy but Hugh has a secret - he is addicted to laudanum. When Olive find out, she destroys his supplies and then works with Max to get him clean.
The final story is about Max, who is a knight when he isn't masquerading as a valet. He has an estate on the Isle of Wight. Max had been married previously but his wife had left him 10 years earlier. When she died, she also left him her 5 year old daughter. Max sees Amanda and immediately thinks she would make a great governess but she is looking to marry a peer.
Max invites the family to visit and once he sees Amanda and his daughter Lydia interact, how can he resist falling in love.
All 3 stories show how love can overcome any problem and all 3 couples have earned their Happily Ever After.

Three different men: a young man of affairs to an Earl who then becomes the new Earl at the old one's death. A closet drug addict aristocratic son who no one suspects of his addiction. A master spy and assassin for king and country, who is knighted for his service. He is called upon for varied other protective services at the whim of his majesty for friends as necessary.

Three females caught in a web of their own making without their realizing it. How delightful for us to see the unweaving and unveiling. The eye opening on both sides as they find out what is real and what life has to offer them. Levi and Priscilla, the girl who sees him for himself, not his position, wealth, or what he can do for her. Hugh and Olive, the girl who smells like sunshine, she brings light and clarity to his darkness. Max and Amanda, the woman who makes his little girl laugh, who makes the empty shell inside him crack open and fill up.

There are twists, turns, excitement, intrigue, romance, something for everyone. Everyone can find someone to admire and someone to..."You've got to be kidding!". Come along once again with some friends we've met before, new friends, and that meddling Duke of Wardington and Amelia. Enjoy the ride through the countryside and see parts of Great Britain you didn't expect. I had so much fun trying to figure out how they were going to get out of their predicaments or what they would get into next. Won't you join in?

This regency romance is 3 novellas in one with 3 couples who are connected in each novella. Levi Smith, a servant, becomes one of the most powerful men in Europe. Who is he? Is he truly a servant; the servant that Lady Priscilla Garrett flirted with? Did he committed murder to get this title? Will Lady Priscilla believe in him when all fingers point at him as the murderer?

Who is Hugh Garrett and what is his secret? Hugh never intends to marry, but finds it hard to forget the kiss with Olive Heath. Olive is tired of her father's abuse. Can they help each other find a new life and find love? Can she help him overcome the years his years of darkness? Will love be enough?

Maximilian St. Cloud has been called many things in his life; a murderer, an assassin for the king, a knight. Only one title scares him, that of caregiver. He is left to raise the little girl of his ex-wife's lover. This problem will need a woman's touch,.Amanda Elliot, but She wants to be a peer, and Max has no title. When Max convinces her to help with his daughter, Amanda is tempted by both the challenge and the man.

Mystery and Romance

Mystery, Addiction, more mystery, and romance all rolled into one story that was divided into three parts. The first part tells of and unexpected inheritance, several mysteries to be solved, and a love story. The second part deals with an addiction and a young woman trying to flee because her father lost her on a bet. This also winds up in an happily ever after. The third part also has some mystery to it and a good romantic story. All these parts are connected to each other as they are all from the same set. There are some very interesting people in these tales. I always wished that some books that I have read would continue a little further and this book exactly that. I enjoyed this book very much.

Three stories in one volume

The author has brought three couples together between the covers of this book. You'll read about the courtship and love story of Priscilla and Ian, as well as those of Hugh and Olive and of Amanda and Max.

Each story involves different circumstances and situations, and each story is unique.

If I had proofread this book, I would have corrected 46 errors.

I really enjoyed each of the stories in this book-Levi and Priscilla, Hugh and Olive and Max and Amanda.
They all connected and each character was developed nicely. The heroines are adorable, strong willed and not your typical debutantes. The heroes all have their own secrets and stories.
The romances are clean, sweet and wonderful.
Eleanor Meyers was a new author for me. I look forward to reading all of her books.
