Yes, I just read a kids' book.

This picture dictionary is just right for early readers and for pre-readers to identify letters that go with pictures. From A to Z there are over 350 words, pictures all colourfully illustrated and set up to be easily understood, and a brief definition of each word. Across the top of every two page spread the alphabet is shown, both in uppercase and lowercase.

There's two stories to every book, the story inside and the story of how you got it. I found this today and opened the front cover to find an inscription from my grandad dated 1996. I knew it was there, but was surprised by the memories it brought back. In this case the story of how I got it and what it symbolises is more precious to me than what's inside. But then that's the power of books and my family have always tried to pass that on to me, and for that I'll be forever thankful.
