This is a me vs. a book kind of review, where it was just OK. I kept reading on curious to see where the story would lead but each event kind of left me on the edge of wanting.
As a Dominatrix, one would expect Scarlet Winters to yield a bit more power or control. Not one who is easily swayed, so suffice to say she and I had a bit of a tug of war going on where she would try and prove to me and me disbelieving where she was coming from.
Monsieur Danton Belfort was the one man she was warned about, his dominance and discipline was legendary. But again, I didn’t feel it, he left me wanting and wondering.
The added plot twist, I am still trying to wrap my head around it’s purpose. Second chances and redemption perhaps… The emotions were meant to make me feel but my heart must have had ice all over it as I read, it didn’t warm me up enough.
I do think others will enjoy this, especially those who don’t like their BDSM and power control on a smaller scale.

Enthrall Secrets took my breath away. It caught me off guard and blew my mind. I wish all erotica stories were written like this. This was more than just a simple romantic BDSM journey.

So when you read one BSDM book you've read them all right? Nope! This book wasn't what I expected at all. This story was about a woman trying to fix the pieces from her broken past. Scarlet finally meets some one she wanted to spend her life with and tragedy happens. Scarlet isn't sure what her future holds until she meets Ethan. I enjoyed this story as it wasn't your typical BSDM. Their journey together on their new path was exciting to watch as there are some twist and turns plus we got some hot, kinky scenes. I've read "Richard Reigns" by this author and really enjoyed that book as well. I will definitely will add to rest of the books to my ever growing to be read list!

The Review:
I can’t get enough of Vanessa Fewings or this series. When asked if I was interested in reading this latest installment in the Enthrall series, I jumped at the chance, knowing I was going to be in for a delicious treat. And again, I wasn’t disappointed. I simply loved the witty, fascinating characters and the exceptional, heartfelt story!
Story/Characters...
Though this can be read as a stand alone, we first meet Scarlet Winters in book one of this series. She’s a side character in Mia’s story but you can tell right away that she’s a warm, caring character. She seemed neutering, yet mysterious as we don’t get to know much about her. In this book, we learn how she came to be in the Enthrall world and her connection to Dr. Cameron Cole and Crysalis. Yes, that’s right. Cameron Cole. He’s back, baby! This may not be his story, but his healing, all-knowing hands are drenched in the intrigue and he makes some pretty significant appearances.
We also see Scarlet before she’s the respected Dominatrix we meet in the first book. Like most of the characters in this series, she’s surviving a shaky past. Though she has a goal to earn her place amongst the elite and become a prestigious Dominatrix, she has to pay her dues as a submissive and learn the trade she wants to become a part of. She’s a bit misguided in how to obtain her goal and fearless enough to take serious risks to get there, because she doesn’t truly value herself.
Secretly taking off to France to continue her training as a submissive, Scarlet comes into direct contact with Monsieur Danton Belfort, renowned Master who worships sensual deviance. That encounter, masterfully calculated by the sagacious Cameron Cole, embarks these two on a soulful journey neither of them expected and changes her life forever. With Danton’s tutelage and Cameron's friendship, we see Scarlet beautifully transform from a daredevil with a death wish to a sophisticated, courageous woman who values herself, her life and the beauty the world holds, even when tragedy strikes.
And then there’s Ethan Neilson! Whew. Talk about complicated and yummy. He was one magnificent package.
There’s danger and excitement and I felt privileged to witness the cherished bonds that develop between the characters. And I thoroughly enjoyed the careful attention the author paid to the emotional and inner development of Scarlet. I connected with her so well.
This novel was unique and well written. It was sensual, dramatic and electrifying. But it was also emotional and poignant. The intimate feelings I shared with the characters on the pages, blew my mind. I felt changed, altered in some significant way after reading Danton and Scarlet’s time together. I believe words have the utmost power to change one's perspective and I think Danton’s words and his teachings came into Scarlet's life at just the right time... and mine as well.
The Wrap Up:
Vanessa Fewings is ever the remarkable and compelling wordsmith. Her flawless writing always takes me on a unique, intense, beautiful journey and this was no exception. The feelings she evokes is forever affecting and provocative. As with all the books in this series, I didn’t want to see this one end and I can only hope there’s more to come from the world of Enthrall in the near future.

I'm still in awe of just how good any book from the Enthrall world is. Book 7 in the series, and they just continue to get better with each release.
Enthrall Secrets is Enthrall Dominatrix Scarlet's story. Throughout the Enthrall Sessions, Scarlet always remained quite a mystery. She was a little older, and obviously had a history, experience and some secrets. I always wondered about her, and was pleasantly surprised to see Enthrall Secrets would be her book.
Set in the past when Scarlet is heading to college, and a year ago from the present day. We are shown two large parts of Scarlet's history.
The earlier part is Scarlet heading off to France for the once in a lifetime opportunity, of spending time with one of only a few men, who could rival Cameron Cole in the underground world of the rich dominant alpha's. Danton Belfort is the gorgeous French billionaire who will transform Scarlet and enable her to finally reach her dream of being a powerful Dominatrix.
This particular part of the story is a mix of all things I love about any Enthrall story, yet it managed to completely throw me, when I realised it wasn't just an intriguing and seductive part of her past, but also an incredibly heart breaking part. I didn't think for one second, I would be so shocked, and wiping ugly, messy tears whilst reading. But for such a sad part, it was also incredibly beautiful and I think that's what made it leave such an impression.
So aside from that we have another story weaving through Scarlet's tale, and that was a pleasant shocker too. I was really pleased to see how this part played out, and felt incredibly satisfied with Scarlet's HEA.
I am also a HUGE fan of Cameron Cole, and for the huge amount of books I get through, not one single man, in any of those books, has managed to bump Cameron from his spot at the top. Not one has even come close. When Cameron's story came to an end, I felt a little lost and sad, wondering whether he would ever pop up in a book again, and he has, twice!! In Enthrall Secrets, we get to see yet again, just how incredible Cameron is. He always manages to show another side to him, and this time it was loyal friend. He was incredible with Scarlet, and I fell in love with him all over again, if that is possible.
So again, an incredible story from one of my ultimate favourite authors. Vanessa never fails to bring a truly satisfying story in this world of the forbidden. I madly love all of her characters, and always feel a little heartbroken when the story finishes. I'm forever saying I never re-read books, as I just don't have time, or the inclination. But after finishing Enthrall Secrets, I know I needed to go back and live through Mia's story again, so I'm back to the beginning yet again, for my Cameron fix!
I seriously can't possibly recommend this book enough. Even though it is book 7 in an epic series, you could read it as a standalone. BUT to be honest, I would just go from the beginning, as every single book is perfection. And I love the whole series so much. It's my absolute favourite.
Thank you Vanessa for not closing the doors on this series yet, the day you say your characters from the Enthrall series, have nothing left to say, will be so sad. I'm personally holding out to see if Lotte has a story to tell. I love her huge amounts! *hint hint*

This book is written the way a erotic novel should be written. It was like no other BDSM novel I've ever read. It's my first by this author but, I plan on going back and reading all her books related to this series.
This book follows Scarlett before she became a Dominantrix. It follows her journey and experiences in France while she was becoming a Dominantrix.
This book was not only sexy, it was intriguing, mysterious and heartbreaking all in one. Vanessa's writing style was impeccable and will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions.
I can't wait to read more of this series and get a better grasp on the characters.

First off, I'm so glad that authors, like Vanessa Fewings, who really know how to tell a story are starting to write erotica, one day soon I hope it becomes so commonplace that I won't be so deliriously happy when I find that rare author in the erotica genre that I like!
This story has suspense, heartbreak and hot sex! The heartbreak was a real surprise for me, I mean I actually teared up at one point In the story and I rarely do that!
Scarlet Winters is a dominatrix at a BDSM club, when she has a scene with reluctant sub Ethan, there's some serious chemistry between these two, but Ethan has ulterior motives. When it all goes terribly south, against her boss Cameron’s wishes she heads to Ethan house to apologize and instead ends up in a fight for her and Ethan's life. While cowering in a back office with an unconscious Ethan, Scarlet flashes back on her life with billionaire Danton Belfort.
This book is the first that I've listened to in the Enthrall series, but it's the seventh book in the series which makes me very happy because that means I have six more audiobooks to put on my list!
The audio quality excellent and the narrator Olivia Hart did a fantastic job, her pacing of the story and voice suit this genre well and I would not hesitate to purchase any book that she's narrating.

BDSM/Erotica pleasure. Thank you, Vanessa Fewings. There are so many that try to work in this genre and do not quite hit the mark. You've done so and left a wanting desire in your wake. Sexy. Delicious. Tempting. With its added kink here and there, sultry passion, mixed emotions, and a bit of mystery for flavor. Scarlet had a story that you must read to fully appreciate her path in life.
I have not read a single book form Vanessa before and I will say this with clarity. I will be back for sure. I did not feel like I was walking in on a series that had been going on for some time. I felt like I was coming in to a world that was every changing and built with its own challenges and complications. I enjoyed delving in to the world of Enthrall. I most certainly want more and must find more to follow along.

I really don't know what to say about this book other than Vanessa Fewings had done it again. I loved the book and like all the other Enthrall session books it keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat. I loved the story line and the characters were awesome. I would give it a 10/10 if there were enough stars. You will not be disappointed if you get this book and you will be missing out if you don't.

When I’d first known Scarlet from the Enthrall series, I found her as enigmatic, elegant, poised, always in control and intimidating lady, in a sense – a female version of Cameron *goosebumps* However, in this book, we get to see a different side of Scarlet – that she is after all just a normal human girl….who needed to be loved and cared for and to give love in return.
Enthrall Secrets told of Scarlet’s journey to discover the love of another, to appreciate life and to forgive others. Scarlet went on these journeys under the hands of such a wonderful Master and lover > Danton Belfort, in one of the most romantic places in the world. Although I only got to know Danton for a short time but he nevertheless stole a piece of my heart, I’ve no doubt in my mind that he truly was the match to Cameron *goosebumps* with his own brand of domination and emotional healing - and that itself explained why I would think Scarlet, being Danton’s submissive and lover, is the female version of Cameron. Yes, their love story was painful and heartbreaking to read through but….it was breathtaking and so many of the scenes touched my heart *tears falling*

I have not read or listened to any of the other books in the series and I had no difficulties understanding the story line. I had the pleasure of listened to the audio book narrated by Olivia Hart and I thought she did a wonderful job. Olivia Hart narrated the voices and accents very well that it became easy for me to became engrossed into the story. Enthrall Secrets was full of hot steamy scenes and was even a little emotional at times! *Voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy*

But I write this to say if you enjoyed the Enthrall series, you should enjoy the ICON trilogy (which I also bought!!!) There are similarities between Cameron Cole and Tobias Wilder, the ICON H. SO GOOD!

Love lost, Love Found
I'm so happy to have read Scarlet's story. Her part in the other books of this series had me wondering about her. I really fell for her character and discovered so much from her unexpected POV. Her story was a wonderful way to complete this series. Like each in this series, it gave me such a view into this world. I've never read another so thorough and detailed. The psychological and therapeutic aspects of this story enrich the story and the characters. Call me curious.

I received an ARC from the author and Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review of the book.
I'm struggling with this review, mostly because this is my first 5 star read in a while. I want to do this book justice, as the entire series preceding it is my all-time favorite.
From the beginning, the Enthrall Series topped my list! Vanessa Fewings writes these brilliant, swoon-worthy, alpha doms who most certainly make sure to let everyone know they run the show. Well everyone except Scarlet Winters, one of Enthrall's premier Dommes.
Enthrall Secrets takes us through her story, from the beginning when she first meets Cameron Cole and subs for him. But Scarlet always knew what she really wanted, to be a renowned Dominatrix, to have that control that her personal life hadn't. Having gone through foster care, dealing with a family who didn't want her, Scarlet made her own life for herself.
Meeting Cameron Cole is what changes it all. He exposes her more to the dark side, to the world of BDSM. Scarlet makes it known of her desire to dominate but understands that in order to really be a part of the world, she must start from the bottom, as a bottom.
Fast forward...De Sade, another dom in Cameron's circle, arranged for Scarlet to travel to Paris and study under another well known dom- Danton Belfort- to train up and promote to dominatrix status. What Scarlet doesn't anticipate though, is the fact that starting as his sub and being rescued from a mansion full of alpha males ready to devour her at a moment's notice, tugs at her heart strings (insta-love). Danton, a Frenchman, whisks her away to his childhood home, a chateau on the French coast. Scarlet is entranced with him, but he is shortly taken out of her life, leaving her feeling empty inside. Having to leave the man of her dreams (and his soul) behind, Cameron finally gives her the opportunity to truly train up and promote, becoming the highly sought after Dominatrix she always wanted to be, bringing us to her meeting Ethan Neilsen, the local District Attorney who is trying to shut Enthrall and Chrysalis down.
Ethan disguises himself as a client, wanting to get to the bottom of what goes down at Enthrall and Chrysalis. He personally requests Scarlet, though laying eyes upon her and allowing her to put him through his paces still doesn't solve his "personal problem".
Meeting Ethan opens Scarlet's heart back up. The connection is instant, giving her hope for a second chance at love.
Cameron Cole is my all time book boyfriend. I always say he's my book husband. But Danton and Ethan both give him a run for his money. Be aware, this is not a MMF, this is a second chance story, but also a story of getting what you want out of life and making things happen for yourself, taking risks to get where you want to be. It takes place prior to the time of The Enthrall Trilogy and its sequels following Cameron Cole then Richard Booth. Scarlet is such a strong, brave character, and I have so much admiration for her drive and ambition to take life by the reigns. I wish I had balls like that!
And Ethan, he's our second chance lover. He's originally from the South, Georgia to be exact. If you love that southern drawl and charm, he will steal your heart. Though alpha, he must learn to submit to Scarlet, proving that a relationship between the two may be difficult.
Danton, her first love, will have you swooning from his French dominance, but your heart will break for them. Don't worry; Scarlet's heart is pieced back together.
Insta-love stories normally aren't my thing, but the way Vanessa Fewings write this one will make you believe it is everything. You will feel every piece of love and every ounce of sorrow. I cried, not ugly tears, but I cried. I hurt for Scarlet, hurt for Danton. I loved for Scarlet, I loved for Ethan.
I know this was a long review, but there are no spoilers. As I said at the beginning, I wanted to make sure I did the book justice. Though this book is sort of a prequel, it should be read after the others. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

I love this series and this one was just as great as the others. This book focuses on Scarlet and how she became a Domme. Scarlet was not always as she is today. She had a very troubled childhood which left her scared and looking for something more. Shortly after meeting Cameron she was introduced to Danton and helped in a way no one else could have. Thanks to him she is who she is today. In this book you get to read about Scarlet’s journey of discovery as well as how she finds romance in the here and now. Scarlet is a fantastic character. She is more than she appears to be. She is loving and caring and well as a fantastic Domme. I love all the characters in this series and was happy there was another book. I want another book even though this is supposed to be the last one in this series. While there is kink in this book and they lead a BDSM lifestyle it isn’t all about the sex. For the characters in this series it is about so much more. They use the lifestyle to help uncover buried issues and heal people. I love the different take on the BDSM lifestyle and kink in this series. I can’t say enough about this book or the series. I highly recommend this book/series as a must read for sure. Another fantastic job Vanessa.

Enthrall Secrets by Vanessa Fewings is one of the best BDSM books I’ve read. The characters are perfect and the writing is brilliant. If you don’t read this book you are really missing out. It’s all about Scarlett’s journey to find a reason to live.

I have been enthralled by the Enthrall Sessions series since it first started, and eagerly dove into reading Enthrall Secrets.
If you have read the series, you will have already met Scarlet Winters – but if you haven’t, you could read as a stand alone.
I have been intrigued by dominatrix Scarlet since we first met her as a side character, but now we have her story. She seems to have a nurturing, kind soul, but we never have learned much about her other than as the dominatrix.
I enjoyed getting to know her. Her early years see her on a shaky kind of path, and that path leads her to become the domme she is today. We see the nervous but eager to please submissive bloom into the amazing woman she is today.
There is so much emotion in this book. Love, loss, heartbreak.... and hope.
Ms Fewings develops her characters and stories well. The intensity, the drama, the emotions all leap off the pages, drawing the reader into the lives of her creations. They have become like friends as the series progresses, and I am left wanting to know more about where their lives are headed.
I hope we get more in the future.

When I set upon reading Enthralled Secrets, and having read all of the series thus rather I was pleasantly surprised. Much with most authors I love there is usually a familiarity to their writing specially in plot points well this one was different but still felt like Vanessa Fewings. This almost started to remind me of her Stone Master vampire series, yes she has a vampire series hence why even though these are vampire books I still read them and enjoy them greatly. Oh, I would really like more to that series as well, just for reference. Either way back to my point, this one is like no other in terms of how the plot is laid out. This is when we learn all about Scarlet Winters and her journey in finding life, love, and dominance as well as a little submissiveness. As much as I love Mia and Cameron’s story and then for Richard and Andrea’s story this one seemed to make them less intense. Scarlet travels to French and is sucked in much like Mia to a scene almost unfamiliar to her. In Scarlet’s case, it’s a different side, almost raw untamed side of the European community. This is where she meets Danton, the man that would give her life meaning. Unlike the others in the series, this love tugged tremendously at my heart strings. Yeah, I cried and a lot. Wait, was I reading a Nichols Sparks novel? Nope but this might’ve the closest I ever get to that. The writing as always is beautiful and describes every detail that forms a full picture in your head. It helps us understand the complexity that is Scarlet Winters. Also gives us insight to her long standing friendship with Cameron. I would recommend anyone add this to their must read especially if this is their cuppa tea, I recommend Cole tea if so. As the kids would say, 10/10 would recommend.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a honest review.....Let's see, I started this book yesterday night and it is now 2am the next day, how do you think I liked it?!? I took a chance on this book not knowing how it was going to turn out and I'm beyond happy that I did. I will forever love the "Enthrall Sessions" series! I only wish I'd read the novels in order (just to get a little history on previous characters) but I'm glad this book could be read as a standalone. I'm not sure how the other books are going to stand against this one for me; this may be my favorite. Scarlet is a young woman that's had it hard growing up. She's been bounced from one foster family to the next as a child seeking for the one thing children need in life, love. Fast forward ahead, she ends up in the only place she believes will help her with her "issue's"; in Cameron's BDSM club. She travels to Paris thinking she's about to learn from the best of the best about becoming a dominatrix, but things take a dramatic turn. She meets the one man who she's been waiting her whole life for (and didn't even know it). He teaches her more than she could ever imagine and then some; more importantly he teaches her how to live. I smiled, I laughed, got a bit excited and cried (three times). I loved this book from start to finish. I really enjoyed the way the author started in past, then went back and gave a bit of history on Scarlet and brought it back to the present; as if Scarlet was looking back over her life and where she's landed at this time. I'm anxious to read Cameron's story next. Overall, a great read that will be hard to put down.
