Follows the story of Francis 'Franny' Scully, a LFC obsessive who is in love with a mixed race girl who lives on his street but who isn't that interested in him, who is interested in him though is Marie Morgan, the friendly older sister of his mate Mooey Morgan. The story flits in between Scully being persuaded to give acting a go by starring in the school play, much to his reluctance as he wants to go on a trial with Blackburn Rovers and realise his dream of professional football stardom, to going down to London with Mad Dog, Mooey and Snotty Dog to watch Liverpool away before running into a gang of Arsenal 'Gooners'.

So, it is a great coming of age tale, set in Liverpool and written by the brilliant Alan Bleasdale - nope, they don't make them like this anymore.
