As we were learning about Virginia, I borrowed a few books about Williamsburg from the library. Over the course of several days we read aloud the book which took an interesting approach to telling the story of Colonial Williamsburg.

The five chapters discussed the past and gave a detailed description of life in Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg, discussed how the foundation was formed to restore and preserve history, as well as what one can see as a tourist to the Williamsburg area today.

I found the book easy to read aloud and my son really enjoyed learning more about the history of the town and foundation. I think this would be a good fit if you were studying the past of Virginia and America.
