In a singular moment of passion, Blake Roman sparked a wild inferno that has consumed my soul. I revisit that day more than I care to admit. They are memories I should forget, but can’t. He won’t let me. The resolve to move beyond my wild past buckles under the pressure of Blake’s relentless pursuit, but he doesn’t know the secrets that keep my heart caged. He can’t see the scars that prevent me from truly loving someone else. I won’t lie, I still want him. I remember the sensation of his touch and yearn for the warmth of his skin against mine. But my desire doesn’t outweigh the shame of knowing I can never be what he needs. His determination is foolish, but the intent is clear. Blake is bound to prove that we are destined for one another.

I have been waiting for this book since I read Tied last summer. Bound brings us Kat and Blake's story, picking up where book 1 left off. I was eager to see how Kat and Blake get together. I needed to know the secrets that kept her running from Blake and her "ignorant" thoughts on BDSM. There were parts of this book that I loved and others, not so much. I loved Kat's drive and her want to succeed in her career but at the same time I felt like parts of her career were just glossed over and works "situations" were worked out too quickly making for anti-climatic drama on that front. Actually there were quite a few anti-climatic moments. However, those moments are overshadowed by the ups and downs of Kat's struggles with her and Blake's relationship. I had plans to do some housework earlier and that got shot out of the window when I picked up my kindle at 24%. I just had to know how it all worked out. There wasn't a heavy BDSM presence in this book but that's what made it perfect for me. It stayed true to Kat and her feelings. It wasn't the played out scenario where the hesitant girl gets thrown in and overwhelmed. Overall, a great read and I can't wait for Nick and Skyler's story.
This was an "ok" read for me... Some laugh out loud parts due to Kat's outspokeness, her character was confusing... It felt like she was all over the place.. I liked her and Blake together but her hang ups weren't executed clearly... Like the previous book, the BDSM in this story wasn't what I was used to... I didn't hate this story but it wasn't something I just had to keep reading...
