Just when you think your job is done...

It was death and a freak chance of fate that made Artemis into the creature he has become. Now a supernatural defender of his animal brothers, with John Colton at his side, they find themselves trapped in a backwoods cabin, where even Artemis couldn’t have imagined the feral and twisted atrocities he will face.
Chris Snider, the Prince of Horror is back with a brief and demented tale of a family of cannibals who capture Artemis and John, fully intending to make them the Special of the Day on their menus of depravity. Chained and beaten, can Artemis free them before they become a Happy Meal for this voracious group?
Truly, Chris Snider has created a very short tale of entertainment filled with uniquely creepy characters, wry humor and another good reason to go vegan! THE BACKWOODS reads like a tale from the Twilight Zone and covered a lot of pure horror in very few pages, my only minor complaint is that I wanted MORE pages! A nice escape into the world of Animal Avenger, Artemis! As much as I hate to admit it, I felt like I was there, from the smells of an abattoir, the sight of these disturbed people and the descriptions of what they intended to do two these hapless heroes…Gah!

Great!
I could not put this down. It is good right off the bat and stays that way to the end. If you have read Artemis you most read this.
