Himemiko and Kotaro’s happy ending has triggered some confusing flashbacks for Tomoe, and his memories are affecting more than just his mood. The shrine has started to collapse because Tomoe isn’t strong enough to maintain it, and things have gotten so bad that the kami Mikage returns. He explains to Nanami that Tomoe is dying from a 500-year-old curse, and there’s nothing she can do to save him!

When I started this series, I wasn't very enthused about it. But chapter after chapter, Nanami, Tomoe and all of their acquaintances slowly won me over.
In this volume, Tomoe falls sick and Nanami tries to timetravel in order to help. She learns a lot about his past, or at least starts to.
I'm very glad VIZ picked this one up since I wouldn't have started the series otherwise. It might be a silly Shoujo, but it's an enjoyable read with some very strong moments.
