Suzuki Julietta is a Japanese manga artist born in the Fukuoka Prefecture. Her pen name comes from a character named Julietta Sakamoto from the seinen manga series, Air Master.
She likes cats, koalas, and sharks. According to an interview with Hakusensha, she first started drawing when she was in her second year of elementary school in a sketchbook of Japonica.
During her free time, she meets her friends, goes for a drink, or out for a meal. She states that although she doesn't read much, she enjoys works by Junji Itō. Her favourite character is Ashia and mentions that male characters are easier to draw in general.

If there was a series just about Jirou I would 120% read it. He is literally so underrated, his character may be flawed but I loved him in the anime and this manga! Also, I love this volume, this is so far my favourite manga series ever.

Oh my god. This volume made me cry. “I’ll burn your image in my eyes so that when I close my eyes I can always see you surrounded by flowers” is one of my favorite romance quotes of all time.

Due to the chaste-harem nature of this series, dudes (and one lady, if you ask me) fall in love with Nanami all the time. I never get sick of that dynamic but Jiro is my favorite suitor, by far. Though I know Nanami and Tomoe are end-game, I would have been just as happy had Nanami stayed with Jiro. And I like things as they are in canon, with Jiro pining for Nanami— but a better person than he was before, just by virtue of loving her. (Also he’s kinda hot.)

I also cried at the “I love you’s” between Tomoe and drunk Nanami. I love them so much oh my god. This series has me in a chokehold— PLEASE READ IT.


Taking a break for now! Will finish volumes 11 and 12 later this evening. I’m hungry.

This volume was more about Kurama, but I wish there was more closure between him and his father. I also liked his character development, he stopped running from his past and was able to confront it.

Nanami still shines even as a supporting character, looking back she's seriously improved in her skills as a tochigami! She's relying less and less on Tomoe now, but she's still the same confident teen we saw in Volume 1.

Tomoe is becoming a lot more transparent in his feelings toward Nanami, and is a lot less condescending toward her and humans in general.

I'm genuinely looking forward to reading Volume 11, which is the last volume that the anime officially adapts!

Fabulous! My faith is restored in this story with this volume. Nanami proves herself ever more competent in her abilities as kami, Tomoe is learning to take a backseat to his master, and the Kurama/Tengu arc wraps up satisfactorily. *happy*happy*

Nanami and Tomoe are still helping out in the tengu realm, but there’s definitely more going on than first appears. Which would be totally manageable if romantic mishaps didn’t keep mishappening and Tomoe could keep from acting out constantly.

Kamisama Kiss is fantastic and remains fantastic. To its immense credit, I haven’t touched a volume of this in months and between the recap and the cues in the story had zero issue picking it back up.

The main storyline is a rather pedestrian bit of business, your standard pretender to the throne scenario, but it sings in the little details. This series has a great cadre of characters to call on and makes the most of them.

Tomoe and Nanami’s endless bickering remains highly amusing. You have to feel bad for Tomoe, whose every attempt to be nice to Nanami typically ends in the disaster that is his own mouth. It’s bad enough when you can’t be honest with yourself, but it’s arguably worse when you’re honest with yourself but can’t express that to another person.

Jiro is our villain of the piece, but naturally has a bit of a history that made him that way. I do like the way he has his eyes opened to both how bad his views are and how it’s affecting the tengu around him. It’s, again, not the most original message but told well.

I also love the way that Jiro gets taken with Nanami, as that gives us a great bit of business later when Tomoe takes advantage of this fact and then how he acknowledges that the two of them are both very similar in being unable to be honest with the girl that has captured their hearts. Tomoe’s self-loathing game is on point.

Then there’s Nanami, who holds the entire thing together because she is one of my favourite heroines ever. She’s got just enough agency, mixed in with her romance troubles, and I love how she’s grown over the series.

While Nanami’s original plan may be a little half baked, the way she takes charge of the situation towards the end and then further shows her bravery is compelling stuff. Okay, maybe I could have done without the hairball joke.

4 stars and I am looking forward to more. Don’t think I didn’t see that little bit of foreshadowing, manga. I generally like the more quasi-grounded stories, but this volume was proof that Tomoe and Nanami are great wherever you put them.

10 tom już za mną, powoli zbliżamy się do połowy historii — i coś czuję, że te coraz silniejss i wyraźniejsze uczucia Tomoe do Nanami wkrótce dadzą o sobie znać. W końcu czy nas chowaniec, lisi demon może się oprzeć swojej pani, której urok i osobowość oczarowuje każdego, kto potrzebuje spojrzenia na niego inaczej niż cała reszta, jak było w przypadku chociażby Jiro? Z tym pytaniem pozostawię ocenę i lecę polować na 11 tom. 4,25⭐

One of my favorite volumes so far. Seeing Tomoe wrestle with his feelings is fun. He gets so annoyed by Jiro denying his feelings for Nanami only to realize he's also doing the same. Also, the tengu arc wraps up nicely. I do wish there's a scene between Kurama and his dad. The fact that Sojobo is never shown after his recovery is weird and leaves the reader hanging with no closure.

I LOVED this book! Seeing just how far Nanami has come, seeing Kurama work so well with them (even with him and Tomoe snipping at each other), and seeing the Tengu - particularly Kurama's brother - finally start to deal with their problems made for a very interesting volume. I loved this book in particular because it pulled together not only so many aspects from the previous volume but many of the volumes from much further back in the series.

I NEED THE NEXT VOLUME!!!!

Normally I'm skeptical of anything that looks like love at first sight but hey, it's Nanami. Can you really blame Jiro? I personally feel his declaration shows he has excellent taste. :D And he's obviously the sheltered romantic type so. Anyways, back to Nanami. Who's a powerful kami boss this volume? Nanami Momozono! \o/ idk whether this series will end up with her as an actually immortal tochigami but you can bet if it doesn't it won't be for lack of ability. 3.5 stars

Thanks to Jiro acting awkwardly in front of Tomoe's version of Nanami, and then Jiro admitting that he likes Nanami, Tomoe finally realises that he too is in love with Nanami. THEY WAY I SCREAMED AT THIS REVELATION AAAAAAAAAARGGGGHHH FINALLY TOMOE YOU FOOL

The conclusion of the Kurama tengu mountain event ends with new knowledge of Nanami's power and versatility in her tochigami abilities. It is also a great volume to see Tomoe's thoughts on Nanami and the new romantic foil possibility in this volume.
