This book is absolutely atrocious. I could not get past the fact that it is clearly written as a cash grab and therefore has no substance of information. I learned nothing and gave up trying. I did not finish. I do not recommend.
Alas, the "techniques" are described at such a high level that it really only introduces the concepts. It could all be summed up with the phrases "have faith" and "pray" really.
On one level, yes, it is simple work, but for those of us trying to really understand and build skills that "it's easy" attitude and lack of substance is just annoying and completely unhelpful. Allowing the energy to flow is step one, but you don't need a whole book that amounts to that plus some phrasing and ideas about how to label/picture that energy.
Anyone looking to seriously get into chakras and energy work should skip this one. Maybe check out Carolyn Myss instead - so far her books have been helpful.
On a personal note, this approach is what so turned me off to energy working in the first place; it's taken me years to get past my bias and accept that I am an energy worker myself - whether I like it or not.
This contains similar information to Advanced Chakra Healing by the same author, but somewhat less in depth. But, there is a wealth of information in this book that is practical and actually very easy to do. It is about using your intuition and empathic skills to correct energy imbalances. Some of the things she treats are physical, and some are rooted in psychological or physical trauma. Honestly, even as an LMT a lot of that would be out of my scope of practice professionally, but how mind-expanding to see what is possible! Her Spirit-to-Spirit, Healing Streams, and Light Wand techniques are basic and doable, even if you're not up to accessing the Akashic records to uncover esoteric causality!
I listened to this as an Audible audiobook, but it's not listed as a choice.
Chapter One: The Energy of All Essential Practices Chapter Two: Of Intuition and Sources – Getting Ready for Energy Work Chapter Three: The Spirit-to-Spirit Technique Chapter Four: Healing Streams of Grace Chapter Five: Transformation Through the Elements Chapter Six: The Light Wand – Directing Light with a Finger Chapter Seven: In-Body Journeying Chapter Eight: The Three Soul Records Chapter Nine: Trauma Recovery Chapter Ten: The Four Zones of the Soul
As the author points out, the first two chapters are introductions to intuition and the chakras. The Spirit-to-Spirit three step technique is impressive. I am using it to work with my dog with intense fear aggression issues. She describes the Healing Streams of Grace as rays coming from the sun. The techniques are easy to do and I am finding very helpful dealing with stressful situations. If you are someone who does energy work, or someone that works with or on others, this would be a good resource to have.
Since my childhood I have empathic abilities, I feel the suffering of people, animals, plants in my own fields, and I have had a long way to learn to balance without closing my heart to others. As an alternative energy healer with a genuine interest in people, I have been very interested in constantly implementing my sessions, facilitating lasting well-being and stimulating the development of awareness in myself and others. I am deeply grateful and honor the author Cyndi Dale for the Energetic Healing Series which kicks off with this book. She herself tells us that she has decided to communicate her best techniques and practices in a deeper way as she has not done in her previous books. Some practices I have already done intuitively such as interacting Spirit-to-Spirit, and I feel more confident and confirm its benefit to know that a person with as much experience as the author uses it. Other techniques are more novel and I am happy to learn them and put them into practice. I am eager to acquire the complete series and expand, consolidate and implement my knowledge with such excellent collaboration. My gratitude to the Publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to review the book
The author’s patented technique soul-to-soul is actually useful. Unfortunately the rest of the book is tediously repetitive and contains potentially harmful information like that old banger - ‘your thoughts create disease in your body’. She skims spiritual and psychological traditions, divorces them of their contexts and creates an amalgamation she brands as her own work. It’s basically reiki, IFS, Tibetan chöd, and Wicca in a new age package. Worth picking up in a bookstore to read soul-to-soul, but save yourself the reading hours that you will never get back.
Anytime a notable practitioner distills decades of experience into a short talk or a small book, take note. This book is no exception. Dale has distilled a lifetime of practice in energy work down to two fundamental techniques and a series of contexts or inquiries, and it’s well worth reading. I certainly won’t use everything here, but I learned a lot.
Excellent book, especially the beginning chapters. Toward the end the practices get a little esoteric and out there, though I would imagine that a practiced healer might well use them. For myself, the beginning with Spirit-to-spirit and Healing Streams of Grace were what I needed
Some excellent techniques on healing that I have not come across before, and upon trying found I could sense the energy. So, I think I’ve found a little treasure and will keep working with a couple of the techniques in my journey to learn about healing and working with Universal energy.
There’s a lot to take in & implement in this book. The guided meditation scripts left a lot to be desired. Solid read for anyone on the spiritual path looking to add tools in their magic bag of tricks.
I'm glad they had the disclaimer at the start because some of the claims were definitely out there. I had to skip chapter one as the 'science' was to out there for me. But it just kept getting worse so I stopped reading it.
This book doesn't really go into depth on anything. It seemed to me to be superficial and did a quick run-through of different techniques. I listened to the audio version, so it's possible that my mind wandered in parts.
This book is a must read for healers and those seeking healing. I’ve read many books as a Reiki master the simplicity of healing techniques is the essence of spirituality. Transformation is possible.
New technique very interesting, very approachable and nice and clear to use on light working. I would like to keep reading from this author book and and 3

4.5 stars I've read and enjoyed Cyndi Dale's books for years, and Subtle Energy Techniques is another great addition to her library. I recommend this book for anyone who does energy work, or anyone who wants to understand how subtle energy works in and around you. I always learn a lot from her books, and found the Spirit-to-Spirit and Healing Streams of Grace techniques especially helpful. They're techniques anyone can learn and benefit from. I enjoyed her explanation of her version of elementals, and how to work with all of the techniques and energies described in the book. If you're interested in working with energy, you'll want to reference this book frequently. What I love most about her writing is how accessible she makes the information and techniques for her readers.
