Low is about Lowell (aka Twitch, aka Low), the drummer for the band Ruthless, and Zoe, an unemployed music writer. Low is thrown into the spotlight when he becomes the face of the ad campaign for a perfume with the band's name. He's not ready for all the attention, glad to stay in the background, letting his bandmates get the attention. Zoe has had no luck getting a new job (or even interviews at this point) and accepts an invitation to go to a wrap party for the new perfume campaign from Scarlett, the fiancee of Keir Wilder, the lead singer of Ruthless.
Zoe accepts and that's where she meets Low. Sparks fly the moment they meet and it was fun reading about their relationship. I don't give spoilers, so you'll have to read the book to find out what happens with Zoe & Low. A few things I can say: Zoe has a five year old brother with autism and she helps take care of him. This leads to a lot of problems with relationships for her (whether in reality or just in her head). Low's twin sister has her own issues and Low is usually the one to take care of her. This leads to problems in relationships for him.
This was a fun dual-POV read that had me smiling most of the time. The only downside for me was it was a slow buildup. They didn't even meet until about 15% in, but again, that is just me. The background up to that point helped me understand both characters later in the book. There was romance, hot sex scenes, funny moments, a few sad moments, and I loved reading both POV's so I knew how both felt and thought about the other. I look forward to reading more from Vivian!
