What do you do if you had to go back to the place you ran from?

He had been her first love. The one she thought she’d be with forever, but all that changed with he joined the Brother’s Rebellion MC. Jamie ran. Fast.

It hadn’t been easy for her to move on after leaving him behind. He had been her life… her heart… her everything, but as far as she was concerned she didn’t have a choice. And when she heard he’d been sent to prison, she knew she had made the right choice even if it had broken her heart.

But now, years later, Jamie needs to go back to be with her family after her grandma’s passing. She never thought in a million years she’d end up seeing him again.

There he was, on his bike, and hotter than ever. Everything came flooding back. It was as though something was pulling them back together and the more she wanted to resist, the more it pulled them together. And even though she shouldn’t have, she gave in. She agreed to see him again. It was like they hadn’t ever even been apart.

When the time came for Jamie to leave… would she really be able to leave her one true love behind again?

If you like hot, romantic page-turning novels you’re sure to enjoy Pike and Jamie’s story. This stand-alone novel set in the Brother’s Rebellion MC world has a HEA and no cliff-hangers.

I received a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review and here it is: 2 stars.

Jamie is returning home to Greenwood Pass for her beloved grandmother's funeral after having moved to the city years before, when her parents sent her away, and she would have preferred to stay away for several reasons--her strict, controlling parents, who she'll be staying with during her visit, and Pike, the teenage boy who was her high school sweetheart, and who was the reason her parents sent her away. Yes, she cared about him but left him behind when he chose joining the Brother's Rebellion MC instead of choosing to be with her, and, although she doesn't really admit it to herself, because of her parents abject disapproval of him and his lifestyle. In the years she's been away, Pike has served time in prison, a fact her parents keep harping on. Now that she's an adult, she still seems unable to tell them to back off and let her live her own life, and the very fact that she feels it necessary to sneak around to see him, even to climbing out her bedroom window instead of using the door, didn't do much to endear her to this reader.

I did not read the first novel in this series, so I don't know Pike's backstory, if it was covered then, but meeting him for the first time in this novel, he seemed like a sweet, kind, sexy and loving person, who had no trouble letting Jamie know how much he cared for and wanted her. By the time we get to him, we learn that there's a rival motorcycle club causing trouble in town, but having read a number of MC romances in the past year, there's no way I could even classify this as an MC romance. The few members we meet are nice and polite, we never see Pike interact with other club members, Pike never even shows Jamie the club, at no point is there any drinking, carousing, rough sex, or even harsh language, let alone any type of interaction with the rival MC. It felt to this reader like the Mayberry RFD version of an MC romance.

The amount of waffling that Jamie goes through, "should I stay or should I go," became tedious, and her inability to decide became downright annoying. Additionally, the sheer number of grammatical errors, misused words, odd similes, and phrases that made no sense whatsoever made me wonder if spellcheck was the only proofreading this novel ever saw.

If you're looking for a sizzling hot, sexy, rough around the edges, MC romance read, this one isn't it.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book...... it was an ok read but I felt it was missing something and I was waiting for something to happen ...there was nothing about the motorcycle club or the war with the other club ...I love MC books but this really lacked a lot for me

***ARC received for honest review***
Quick short read about second chance love. Sex mild, romance mild, MC involvement almost non existent. Mentions of a rival mc, an explosion, town folk judging Pike, crappy parents and weird brother to Jamie our h. All in all I didn't really like any of the characters, they all seemed just wishy washy. Short and no connection with the characters leave a bad taste in my mouth. Not on my lists to read or continue with this series, if there is one.

I enjoyed Jamie and Pike's story.. It was nice and sweet. It would have been nice to have a little back story on these characters... I just felt like I was missing some things when it came to them.. Pikes history, and why Jamie let her parents get away with things.. Her brother and what he is going through.

Anyway, good story, excited to see what is next..

Recieved this ARC for an honest review. Jamie and Pike were in love and inseparable. Until he joined the MC and her strict parents forced her to move away. A family funeral makes her return home and she sees Pike. Old feelings and insecurities resurface. They meet up when she is home and the love is still there.

Short

Second chances books are good this was one of them. A solid read great characters. But it seemed too short that was the only bad part.

I know how hard an author works on putting out a book, but I was very disappointed in "Pike". I really wanted to like this book because I am an avid reader of MC books. The problem? There was no MC in the book. Pike became a member of a club which was the reason that Jamie left town and Pike. The book took place primarily over a weekend a couple of years later with no MC in sight. It was just Jamie coming back to her grandmother's funeral, sex with her first love Pike and her parents upset. The rest of the book was in their weekend of sex. That was the whole premise of the book. I am sorry but this one did not do it for me. I hope the next one has other people in it that includes the MC with some context and interaction. I would like to thank the author for gifting me with an Advanced Reader Copy of "Pike" and only asking for my honest opinion. I was not compensated in any way for my opinion. This is mine. 2.25 Stars!

Town bad boy and his first love!
*** This is an ARC book in exchange for an honest review***
At first I thought the story line moved a little slow, but as it went along I started to understand why. You needed to know the back story on Jamie. She had her own demons she was fighting and you needed to understand why she did some of the things she did. Pike on the other had was still somewhat a mystery the whole way through the book. It pretty obvious to everyone but Jamie at the beginning of the story on how Pike felt about her, but it took some time for him to actually say it to Jamie. There weren’t as many love scenes in this book, but that worked well for the flow of the book. Over all I really enjoyed the book and hope to see more books about the members of Brother’s Rebellion MC.

Jaime and Pike have loved each other since they were kids. They thought they would be together forever however when Pike joined the MC Jaime felt he chose the club over her so she left town. Her Grandmother has passed away so she has returned for the funeral and runs into Pike again. They have never been able to move on from each other and the relationship resumes. At the end of the visit Jaime has to decide if she is willing to accept him being part of the MC or if they need to move on from each other? This was a great story of accepting the person that you love as they are. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

I started this book and thought I will just read a few chapters, was I wrong I could not put it down! Jamie left home when Pike the man she loved joined the Brother’s Rebellion MC she did not want to be in a gang, she was glad she had when she hear Pike had gone to jail. Now she has come back to home after her Grandmother dies to be with her family, but Pike is back in town! What happens will her parents still rule her life or is there a chance for them this time? I was gifted a ARC for an honest review.

Sweet story about a second chance at love. Jamie was a pretty well developed character but Pike not so much. I have read several othrr firsy perdon stories where the hero was better fleshed out. The plot was sweet with a HEA but just overall was average. Received this ARC for free for an honest review.

This story caught me by surprise. It has a star crossed lovers vibe. The heroin in the story is sent away to live her life in another city because she has fallen for the wrong kind of guy. Tragedy reunites this couple, and more tragedy makes them realise how much they love each other.
This is a great story, with a very happy ending. I loved it.

Received this book in exchange for an honest review. Piper did an amazing xxx ing job writing this second chance romance. Jamie and Pike had a young love that was interfered with and cause them to go their separate ways. Years later due to a death in Jamie's family Pike and Jamie come face to face. Even though Jamie fought her true feeling true love won.

Pike - The Brother's Rebellion MC book 1 by Piper Phoenix is a great read. Not your normal deep, gritty MC book. An enjoyable journey that is actually a Second Chance novel.
Can't wait to read more from this new author to me.

This 2nd book in the series wasn't as good as the first. It kinda started out of nowhere and ended too abruptly. I did love PIKE not so sure how I felt about Jamie

A sweet love story of getting back lost/first love. The MC doesn't really play a big part in this at all. It's more background white noise. But it is still a very sweet story.
