K. Sherman is a native of New York. She resided in the USA until her third year of college. At that time, Ms. Sherman found herself dealing with many of the issues that she has poignantly described in this book. After accepting Islam, she travelled abroad and has remained there ever since. She is now a mother of four children. She is grateful for the prospect that her children will never face the challenges she did namely, growing up without guidance. Ms, Sherman recalls her high School English teacher's advice: "You write best when you write about matters close to your heart" Therefore she has chosen to write a topic closest to her heart in her first book. The author encourages interested readers to write to her via the publisher
