Lily’s back on her home turf in London for Christmas, after a turbulent term, studying music in Miami. She wonders if her relationship with Will can survive their stupidity and what this means for their music collaboration. Lily realises all too late, that she’s fallen hard for Alfie despite his declaration to her that he can’t love her. This has left Lily devastated, knowing that the man she loves will never feel the same for her. Meanwhile, Alfie has continued his relentless pursuit of Lily to take what he wants from her, testing her resolve not to continue their relationship. She had found the strength to resist all of his advances, until the night before she flew home. After giving herself one last night with him, she fled across the Atlantic, thinking time and distance with family and friends would help heal her broken heart. What Lily never expected, was for her traumatic love life to follow her, both to London and Miami through the chapters of her life, during the following year. Her music career and studies improve tremendously though, fuelling her performance and personal identity, but her love life is as complex as ever. Alfie makes some disclosures which could be game changers for the both of them, and asks for her trust and time. Lily wonders if she should trust him, asking herself if Alfie could ever be, everything she needs?

I really enjoyed the first book of this trilogy, but the second one was even better! The story continues with Lily finding her own identity and becoming stronger as a young woman. I enjoyed the music association with the story so far and there were a few excellent 'hot scenes.' I was pleased the author didn't just concentrate on the relationship between Alfie and Lily, and developed some of the other characters in the storyline. It gave the book depth. This brought out the main characters' personalities more and teased more emotion from it. I laughed and I cried at this book. It was funny, 'angsty', frustrating, romantic and kept me wanting to know more all the way though. Alfie and Jack's characters are hot and there was some surprises along the way. I can't wait to find out what happens in the last part of this story.
Hot, Romantic and Clever.

After the cliffhanger from the first book it was so good to get on to the second to see what would happen! Again I was hooked from the start and had me completely involved in their lives once again.
I love the way KL has bought music into it, I love the writing, the humour and the HOT scenes! In this book we meet Lily's friends in the UK, Jack is absolutely hilarious, such a good friend and just the sort of friend I would love to have! Him and Lily have a great connection, being friends from such a young age, and you can see how much they love each other, but in a totally platonic way.
Again we see the roller coaster that is Lily and Alfie lol I love reading about both of them and was so glad to have Alfie's secrets revealed, making me see him in a completely different way and definitely liking him :)
You see Lily 'growing up' more in this book, learning to live with her mistakes and owning them, putting herself out there more in the music industry and generally learning to cope with her on off relationship with Alfie.
The ending is quite sad and another cliffhanger, thankfully not too long to wait for the last installment! I can't wait to see what happens and hope that Alfie and Lily get their happy ending. I highly recommend this series so far!!
I received a free copy of this book from the author for my honest review~ SPOILER ALERT~~
SPOILER ALERT!!! if you haven't read Enough yet, please start with book 1 and DO NOT go any further in my review. Feel free to skip it, read some super excerpts, make sure to 1click or add this series to your TBR, Goodreads Links are provided.
Lily's back home in the UK for the Christmas Holiday, and to hide out from Alfie. She's trying to learn to let him go. He makes her all kinds of crazy in the head with his hot n cold cavalier attitude, pawing all over her in private, and wanting nothing to do with her in public. His outrageous jealousy, and his crazy hot sex.
This middle book is a wonderfully emotional angsty read. It's not smokin' like book, but it's so emotionally draining. You just want to shake the characters until they come to their senses. The whole read is chock full of love, anger, hurt, angst, disillusionment, and hey, Lily finds a band...XRaid. They love her, she loves them, and she's really coming into her own as an artist. Honestly, I started book 3, Everything I Want, right after finishing up this one.
I really enjoyed the first book- by K. L. Shandwick, but the second book (Everything She Needs) was even better. It was fun reading about Lily finally coming into her own in the music field. I loved reading how she bonded with the band and how she really began a career in music. I only hope she continues this in the third book, as it boosts her self confidence and makes everyone really proud of her. Of course her on again off again affair with Alfie keeps your attention. She is determined not to see him again, but finds she melts when she is with him. It is interesting to watch her mature as her college days progress. I must also say I loved Jake. He is her strength and confidant. Everyone should have a best friend like Jake. So now we are hanging and waiting impatiently to read book #3. I bet there are some twists that we don’t expect. I hope Lily keeps up with her singing group. We will see soon.
WOW. I absolutely loved this. I liked the first book but there were a few surprises in this one I never guessed. The story plot is well developed and the characters, I feel I know all of them quite well. It held my attention all the way through, and I lost a night's sleep waiting to find out what happened at one point. This book gave me sexy scenes, I laughed, felt the characters highs and lows, loved Alfie and Lily Absolutely want Jack as my mate. It's hard I want to say much more, but i dont want to spoil it for others. Not a simple love story by any means, there is a lot more going on in this book. When I finished I wanted the next part straight away. Good job and I am eagerly waiting the final part of this trilogy
This second book of the everything trilogy will not disappoint you, it gives a real insight into Lily and Alfie's lives which gives the reader scope to really build up a picture of parts of there lives both past and present, it answers a lot of questions left from the first book which tie in with the first book. in terms of the book itself it shows Lily's development as a young woman and the mistakes she has made in the past.Music has become a very strong focus for her life which left her torn in relation to Alfie. once again the author plays on all the emotions that are out there, sadness, love, anger, lust and some funny quirky passages that will bring a smile to your face! I now cant wait for the third part of this trilogy as i have loved both books so far.
After loving Enough Isn't Everything so much, I knew this one would be just as good. I was anxious to to read this and was not in anyway disappointed whatsoever. Everything She Needs picks up right where the first one ended.
Lily is back in London for the holidays and is hoping her friends can help her mend her broken heart. She just wants to get away from the drama that has taken place during her first semester at college. She has come to terms with the things she has done wrong and doesn't want to be the person she has become lately. She is completely in love with Alfie but doesn't want all the heartache that comes with it. Lily gives into temptation and allows herself one night with Alfie and then takes off back to Miami after realizing it was a mistake.
Alfie is determined to have Lily and he tries his hardest to get another chance. Alfie is trying to be honest with Lily so he makes a confession about another female and Lily has to figure out if she can deal with it. One other confession about his feelings for her will leave Lily questioning if she should push him a way or not.
Lily and Will's relationship is still in a slump ever since the "situation" took place they seem to have lost the comfortness they once had with each other. Lily's best friend Jack from London definitely fills in the void of not having Will in her life. Jack will do whatever is in his power to make Lily feel whole again.
There is a lot going on in this book, it doesn't entirely concentrate on Lily and Alfie's relationship. You meet new characters that you will love, especially Jack, who is sweet, hot, and witty. Lily develops into a more mature young women focusing on her studies and music. Something is always getting in the way of Lily and Alfie having an actually relationship, keeping them from having their HEA. I was so jealous of Lily, I might take the broken heart if I could be surrounded by as many swoon-worthy men as her. I loved this book just as much as the first one and I am hoping that Lily and Alfie can get their HEA in the final book. Highly recommend.
Ok, Ok, book 1 I will admit was GOOD. But book 2, Everything she needs, holy hell I was gripped. Te amount of times I wanted to throw my kindle off a wall or off Lily was unreal. She frustrated me to no ends. What a fantastic character. The fact I felt that throughout the book made me think how EXCELLENT this book was actually written. I felt invested in them. I was screaming to her to just take a minute and listen to what Alfie was saying. The amount of times, I sighed and held the bridge of my nose just to breath and take a minute before I could read on.
Alfie throughout was saying in his own way, shape or form ''Lily I love You' BUT SHE WASN'T SEEING IT OR HEARING IT!!!
Excerpt:- ''Im gonna work it out Lily, I need you in my life like I need to breath''. I felt a mixture of emotions now.............
Alfie in this book does take a step back and Lily's thoughts, story, feelings are at the fore front, a young confused 21yr old who has lost her way. She puts herself in situations that toy with her head and Heart. The one constant being throughout is her best Friend Jack. Your gonna love him!!!
But Just as Lily starts building her life up again without Alfie, he ends up at the wrong place at the wrong time. And makes contact with her and this rollercoaster of a ride doesn't end their. It only pulls up to add more characters and send us all on a new journey once again. Lily needs to find herself, but she lost who and what she was when her and Alfie went their separate ways. will she ever be the person she once was or does she need to go back to Alfie to find that person.......
*****5 AMAZING STARS***** Beautifully written K.L.Shandwick I cant wait for the last instalment

Wowee!! I loved the first book in this trilogy by KL Shandwick and I have to admit I was a little worried that book 2 would not draw my attention as much as the first......but oh my I was totally worrying unnecessarily! Book 2 took me on a journey and held me captivated for the entire time. I loved the new characters introduced into the mix. The relationship between Lily and her best friend Jack is a rare and precious friendship indeed. Jack is hilarious and a total gem, I literally laughed out loud at his quips and savvy whit. Where I was frustrated with Alfie through book 1, it was Lily I found a tad frustrating throughout this book. This only spurred me on more to read though because I was desperate to find out what would happen. I love the blend of music that KL weaves through the story and have already found myself creating a playlist to accompany the trilogy. I cant wait to continue reading and have book 3 ready and waiting on my kindle.....part of me wants to start now but part of me is reluctant as I dont want the story to end :)
Things really spice up in this second installment! Once again, this book is laden with feelings of sadness, happiness and PASSION!! You'll feel so much for these characters. This book makes you invest in them! Isn't that the best?! This once again makes me must read list!
I reviewed these book all together because well they deserve the full raiting then me getting frustrated with being left hanging a little. So This is for all three books in the trilogy Loved Alfie But Not a big fan of Lily!! These three stories were simply frustrating and amazing all in one. I wanted to scream because I felt like Lily kept giving up early and to fast. This stories was about row beautiful souls brought together when they least expected it and found a connection most people look for all their lives. Book 1 about hurt my heart because I felt like lily was giving up so quickly the. Book two it just continued to get worse.for me. Don't get me wrong this was a totally amazing story between two beautiful people that were made each other. Problem was book 1 and 2 didn't allow any happiness like that was a lot of pain and heart ache and both struggling to find their true hearts. They both made you cry for Alfie and want to slap around lily a little because I really felt like she was just giving up to easy. Alfie had his own set of issues but he was truly in love with lily at least to me that's how it was showing. He tried to be be what she needed, but what person is perfect. These book offered you a lot of drama, tears, heartache, regret, and the. Some smoking hot sexy scenes. It was amazing how k.l. Shandwick made this couples chemistry come off the pages made you get the child just from words. The question is does Lily and Alfie finally end up together ?? Od do they end up with different paths in their lives? I am writing this review together because I did truly love this series. It made me cry and frustrated then I was super happy by then end. So give it the chance it deserves I am giving the three books the same rating which gives 2 of them 1 star higher!! Book 1 and 2 would of been a 4 for me But With reading the final book it would of been a 5

Everything she needs is the second part of the trilogy and starts off in London; Where Lily runs to for her holiday break to get away from Alfie, The man who she want so much to love her but Just can’t at the moment. I enjoyed the second book a lot it was well written the plot so very believable it just sucks you in, I also like that we finally get some answers on why Alfie is the way he is and why keeps lily at arms length the way he does.
Now In the second book lily is in London enjoying her time with her friends jack and Elle. While there she finds out Alfie is in London doing a last minute concert and wants to connect again with her, and she finally thinks Alfie can give her the hearts and flowers she wants but with Lily and Alfie there are always ups and downs and lily gives Alfie another chance but some how the wires become cross and it ends in heart break for both of them and Lily going back to Miami leaving Alfie in London. While back in Miami Lily moves on with her life and finally blooms and become more involved in her music, she joins a band as the lead female singer, And Alfie comes back home and tries to mend the rift between them and try once again, But like every other time Alfie and Lily try to be together something come between them, this time its Music Alfie who’s band Crakt Soundzz get’s signed to a record label in London so he has to move there for the next five weeks but Lily decides she doesn’t want to hold him back and wants to explore her own music with XrAid.
This book was a complete page turner and you just want to know what was going to happen next be warned though there is cliffhanger leading to the third and final book. But I would totally and wholeheartedly recommend this book, 5 Stars all the way.
Another great book in this series! I already loved Alfie and Lily, but now I must add Jack to that list. Truly, Jack is Lily's everything and he treats her like gold and is incredibly funny and sensitive to her needs. All girls need a Jack in their life. More about Alfie is revealed, in addition to other facets of Alfie. He's got more emotions this time around and whereas he seemed impassive and unshakable in the last book, he's definitely got some exposed weak spots, and one of them is named Lily. Knowing more about Alfie also explains why he acts the way he does and his reasons behind what he does. He also sets the record straight that she has some misconceptions about him. Although Alfie hasn't totally proven himself to be boyfriend material, he has the potential to once he sets his mind to it, as long as he doesn't keep secrets. He and Lily are definitely connected because only they can set each other off with so much feeling and passion. Lily is between a rock and a hard place because she doesn't want to have her heart broken over and over again yet she needs to be near Alfie but not unless he can commit, so it's all or nothing for her. Choosing nothing means pushing Alfie away and he can't accept that. Even when they do work things out, the logistics of their circumstances keep them apart and Lily knows that being with Alfie is a risk to her reaching her goals. This book seemed more angsty to me than the previous one because it was obvious what they felt for each other and yet Lily is the master of self-talk into guilt and pity and heartbreak, but I still empathized with her. She took the good moments for what they were worth and so did Alfie but they still had so many misunderstandings. I really want it to work out between Alfie and Lily but with the way their lives are going, they have so many obstacles to overcome.
Okay to say that I wanted to throw something when I got to the end would be an understatement. One of those instances when I wanted to PM KL Shandwick and say "why? just why?" luckily I had book 3 and all the drama was unnecessary.
So I am torn in this one..I don't know that I want a HEA for Lily & Alfie. This book focuses a lot more on Lily and some new characters are brought into the fold. yummy Jack. I could see how Lily had matured some from the last book..character growth in series in a necessary thing for me so I was pleased to see that executed so well by the author.
So the tables have kind of turned in this one..Lily is being the stubborn one now that Alfie wants a true chance with her. Now that he has decided to be honest with her about some things ( a few mysteries solved). But Lily is the one now who is holding something back..maybe she is afraid, maybe insecure..well who wouldn't be with the type of relationship the two of them have had.
Her relationship with Will her best friend, is also in shambles but here comes sexy, witty Jack to take her mind of all that troubles her. Jack is trying to "fix" Lily and while that may be sime fun trying he ain't the right tool for the job.
So as torn as I am over Lily & Alfie this book made me feel. I was right there going through the emotions and the inner battle with Lily. Sometimes I wasnted to strangle her but that's okay..that was the whole time with Alfie in book 1.
The book is once again well written, the story picks up right where book 1 left off and this one was executed nicely. KL Shandwick has only just begun and she is a star in my eyes.
I was provided a copy of the books in this trilogy in exchange for an honest review as part of Beautifully Broken Book Blog. During this 2nd book of the series Lily returns home during Christmas break and wants to use this time to decide if her friendship with Will can survive a stupid mistake. During this trip home, she also learns that the person she has known the longest in American, who also happens to be her roommate decides she wants to leave Miami and rekindle a lost love in her home town. What is supposed to be a relaxing vacation home, threatens to leave Lily depressed, especially when she realizes that she has done the one thing she promised not to do... she has fallen in love with Alfie. Lily has some difficult decisions to make, give up her dreams for a man she loves or pursue her music career that is finally getting the recognition it deserves. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat guessing what Lily and Alfie's next move will be.
K.L. Shandwick did it again in this the second book of The Everything Trilogy. Alfie's and Lily's love story continues with their Heartbreak,Happiness and yes their Passion. This story kept me so involved in the characters that I had a hard time putting it down. This is another Must Read!! K.L. Shandwick you are a Rockin Author
Everything She Needs was a welcomed surprise. Characters that were mentioned in Enough Isn't Everything were fully introduced and developed in this book. I loved the prose, indicative of the author's writing style evolving.
Lily's heartbreak and downward spiral hit an all time low. She decides her dreams are worth pursuing too; making that difficult decision of whether or not to follow Alfie in his rise to stardom, or stay behind and chase her own.
Jack, I absolutely loved him as a character. I hope to see a spin off in the near future.
I love this story and even though it ends on a rather sad cliffhanger, it was well worth the read.
I loved so much about this book! Well done, K.L. Shandwick. I can't wait to begin book 3.
Omg! LOVED it!! The story follows on from the first book, this time taking us to Lily's home turf in London. We get to see more of Lily's friends, especially her best friend Jack, who she left behind when she went to study in Florida. I love the relationship between Lily and Jack, he definitely made this book for me and had me laughing out loud at times, he is such a character and his protectiveness of Lily is extremely humbling. We still follow Alfie and Lily's story in this book and discover why he is the way he is. With so many trials and tribulations I'm not sure where their story is going to end up, but I do know I'm not going to wait around to find out, I'm already reading book 3! Thank you K.L Shadwick for yet another fantastic book!

«Tu mi appartieni, basta giochetti, basta litigare, nulla ci separa, Lily.
In this second Instalment of The Everything Trilogy we see Lily going back home and experience life sans Alfie, for her coming home is not only a refuge but an escape, never had she thought that her life will become such a complicated chaos of emotions since meeting the charming Alfie Black, she thinks this will be an incredible opportunity to see things from a distance and get the space she desperately needs, but we are never too far from him and thoughts of their time together plague Lily's mind. We are introduced to her best friend Jack and what can I say I LOVE HIM! He is a cornerstone in her world and in a way I see him like her own Jimmy cricket, occasionally playing devil advocate, confidant and shoulder to cry on. But in a very traditional KL Shandwick way, something happens when you least expect and when you think Lily is getting the space she craves, an unexpected visitor shows up, this will unfold a whole chain of events and for the readers a cringing and frustrating moment, yes I did contemplate throwing my kindle once or twice, but KL Shandwick has you on the edge of your seat, never really knowing what is going to happen next, and I am there hook line and sinker engrossed in their story!!
Thoroughly enjoyable, this second instalment is a stepping stone into the final book, packed with tons of great musical references, an incredible playlist and hot and steamy scenes that will keep you completely enthralled.
I can not get enough of this trilogy, this book was extremely difficult to put down!!! I totally loved it. The story picks up when Lily goes home for Christmas, she needs her distance from Alfie, finding it difficult to concentrate around him. Lily needs space to work out what she wants, with Alfie around she can not think straight. Lily spends time with her family and friends especially her best friend Jack!! Jack is gorgeous and heart melting he is so sweet with Lily their relationship is truly special, I loved these two and the closeness of their relationship. What Lily hopes is going to be a chance to get her thoughts straight in London gets thrown out the window when an unexpected visitor turns up which sends her fleeing back to Miami. Lily deals with a rollercoaster of emotions throughout this book and Alfie finally opens up why he can not give her the relationship she wants!!! I loved this book, I felt the struggle of Lily and Alfie as they try to find a way to work out their relationship, you get to see a different side of Alfie and that made me fall in love with him even more. I have already downloaded book three as I need to know whether they find their happy ever after. I would definitely recommend this trilogy to anyone who would love to read about a seriously hot lead singer of a rock band !!
KL Shanwick Everything she needs Wow it's really heating up in Alfie and Lily's story, there's so many twists to this story I'm not sure what's going to happen next,I keep hoping for the happy ever after but when I get there,if there is one I'll be disappointed that my read is over I'm enjoying this story so much. So much has happened I wish I could share with all of you but...... definately heating up, it's good, it's bad, it's exciting, it's so not over. I totally love Jack that's Lily's best friend, we all need a Jack in our lives, God there's so many awesome characters and no one that I really hate yet which is unusual for me but this story is different from your love triangle plots which is great. Music plays a big part in this story, I'm praying all the characters get there happy ending. KL Shanwick you are a talented writer, thank you.
Omg! Kl shandwick has blown me away. I thought enough isn't everything was brilliant but this just blew my mind. I still have a love/hate relationship with alfie. But as lily and alfie journey on, things heat up, questions are answered, more questions are asked. If you want a trilogy thats hot, sexy, real, and yet oh so much more then the everything trilogy is it. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
