This is a great early reader story. Your kiddo can put their finger under the word while you read or they read. Remember with all the struggles to read, there is a terrific story around all those words. It's a hot sunny day and Sammy is playing in the pool. He remembered to put sunscreen on. Such a good day Sammy is having. There are clouds in the sky and then rain and then thunder and then lightning. A few safety tips, get out of the water when you see lightning. Don't stand under a tree. Go inside if you see a lightning strike. When it's storming outside Sammy gets extra hugs. What else does Sammy do it get during storms? You know where this is going. Yes!! You got it right. You get to listen/read the story to find out how much fun a storm can be. I borrowed this book on a Kindle Unlimited website and so can you.
Another great book by V. Moua. Always waiting to read the next one in excitement. My daughter loves Sammy so much and really likes to gets involved with the interaction of the bird. Sammy the red bird acts just like my 6 year old at times and makes my daughter and I laugh at how we relate to him in our own daily lives.
My son and I truly enjoy reading these books at bedtime. This book was exceptionally great. This author is one of our favorites and so is Sammy ( the character)
I found this to be a funny and serious ebook in one!
How is that? Well, the birdie acts so strong and brave but then finds himself not t be so brave of thunderstorms after all , once it's makes a big koom. But before that he shares with kids what they should and not do during thunderstorms. A ths is very good. So we're the illustrations as well. For these reasons I would like to recommend this for five stars and for kids ages 0-8 and or in grades P-3. I received this ebook for free using KU to do it, and in return, here now is my honest review. Super work V! By Angela
My students enjoyed this book. It was easy to read, understandable, and dealt with something relevant to them. The illustrations we bright and well done, also.
