Designed to be accessible to young readers, these volumes offer a way of learning about the history of America. Each book includes information on what was happening in the arts, sciences, popular culture, fashion, and music. They include 100 or more photographs, box features, pull-out quotations, a glossary, a further reading list, and an index.
This book is from the children's section at the library and, although it isn't of textbook length, I found it to be an interesting and informative review of the 1930’s in America. It's scope in subject matter was very interesting; discussing politics, war, entertainment, sports, lifestyle, etc. If you want an moderate overview of the 1930's read this before diving into something more complicated.
