A very well-rounded reconstruction/ evaluation. Especially in regards to the essence/species/butformsmustbeparticular debate quite enlightening. I mean, why not

There's some decent work in here, but it's hard to see what the point of this book is. The confusion he reports of his first encounters with these texts seems to still plague him. Despite this, it's a nice survey of the 70's and 80's on Z and H, though some of his reconstructions are too quick for one unfamiliar with the secondary literature he is delving into.
