Brothers Danny and Clay Gunn both served in the military; one in the US and the other in GB. Although brothers, they grew up apart. They take jobs as fixers - fighting for the little people against the big gangs.
They are asked by their friends Pamela and Larry to help, as they are being terrorised by a local gang, keen to take away their business. Things turn ugly when a biker gang and the Bosnians get involved and the Gunn brothers are fighting all comers.
I LOVED this book. The fight scenes are fantastic. I love the brothers and the beautiful area in Spain are wonderfully described giving contrast to the death and destruction of the story.
Brilliantly and professionally written, this author has gone to the top ten of my favourite writers. There is nothing bad I can say about it. The Gunn brothers are as resourceful as the A-Team and there is great repartee between the two. I would love to see them on screen as it would make a good movie.
I would give it more than 5 stars if I could! If you like fights and lots of testosterone-filled pages then this is the book for you.

Breakaway Reviewers received a copy of the book to review.
This book is action-packed from page one. The fight scenes are vividly described and realistically planned. The conversations between Clay and Danny are easy going and fun to read. (Sounded like discussions with my brothers). The small vacation town was precisely described. It made you feel like you were walking down the street. In all I enjoyed this book immensely. I plan to read his first book as soon as I can!
PULP FICTION. Not the movie, but the best use of the very poor effort. The good news? It is a quick read. It is fast paced. But lets review: Gratuitous sex = 0. Instances of adolescent sexual innuendo = may 10 or fewer. Detailed descriptions of gratuituous, overdone violence? 30-40, or about every ten pages on average. Needless dialogue and descriptive filler have nothing to do with the story? 1,000+. Summary: Find something else to read.
If you like thrillers and twisted tales, this is a good read! James Hilton knows how to keep the reader engaged in his stories, I am looking forward to the next Gunn Brothers Thriller!
Another blood and guts can't put down novel right down to the bitter end by author, James Hilton. A bit repetitive toward the end with the violence for this reader which perhaps seemed some what unappreciative for the costs of war by the Brothers but definitely a 4 plus star. It will be interesting to see where the Gunn Bros, Danny and Clay wind up in the next book?
