On the morning after his 35th birthday, nightclub owner, Alex Logan, is left with the hazy memory of a sensual encounter with a handsome Scottish stockbroker. While the affair is a bit of a shock, it is nothing compared to the bizarre change taking place in his body. Body parts are not supposed to talk, let alone being opinionated and sex-mad, but such is the case with his new best friend, Broadsword.
Leith Johnson is a sexed-up executive who would do damned-near anything to get Alex into bed, including enlisting the help of his sister, an amateur witch. It is no surprise when their hocus-pocus love potion goes spectacularly wrong.
Alex has spent most of his life trying to convince himself he is straight. Now it is up to Broadsword to prove him wrong, and convince him that despite the botched witchcraft, Leith Johnson is Mr. Right.

I debated with myself on this rating for a good while before I could assign one. On one hand I didn't like a great many things about this book but it wasn't because it was a BAD book, it was really good. So I decided to put my innate dislike for a few things and give it the rating it really deserves.
This book focuses on the developing relationship between Leith and Alex... Warning: Please leave rationality and just embrace the craziness. Leigh is a Scottish stock broker who has it out for Alex and Alex, even though he's confused, totally wants him. And boy do these boys light up the pages of this book. The relationship doesn't start out as more that a sex thing and then things evolve and these guys take you places. The sex is hot, hot, hot! The relation between Alex and Broadsword was hilarious, Oh My Gawd, I mean how off the chart would you have to be to even sit and write that and how off the chart am I because it was the best part of the entire book for me. I liked the relationship so much and I would totally have read more dialogue between the two of them (i really am referring to him as a person...) This book was sex, sex and more sex. So if you want A LOT of sex then dive right in. Then the plot kinda picked up and things went crazy. Alex was crazy and Leith was crazier and there was a crazy sister and gentlemanly witch (wizard?) and then throw in hilarious mothers and best friends on Grindr and... well this story was just totally off the charts crazy and hilarious. It was an awesome read. I totally recommend it if your into lots of sex and a plot that doesn't have you thinking too much. It just flows, takes a turn another turn and then we get an ending. No fuss, no throwing the book across the room.

Well, in all the hundreds of MM books Iv've read I have never read about a speaking dick. This book was so funny when Alex was having discussions with his dick. It all starts when Alex is given a magic potion which gives him one wish. Unfortunately, Alex mutters the first thing in his brain and its a hard dick. Hence the beginning of the story of Broadsword. Alex believs he is straight but Broadsword thinks he is gay and sets about trying to get him to fall in love with Leith. So a novel idea but unfortunately there is a lot of sex. Leith and Alex get it on alot before the breakup. Somethings bothered me. The orgy for one. Too much. Alex goes into it without a thought and I felt it was a little like cheating. So, if you want a book which is an easy read sprinkled with lots of laughs this is it. Nice secondary characters and the MCs do get their HEA in the end. Looks as if there is a book 2 which I will certainly read.

M/M erotica meets bizarro. Count me in! I doubt I would have picked this one up if it wasn’t for the fact a friend reviewed it and mentioned a talking dick – something I was too curious about to let the story go unread. I’m so glad I read this, it was funny, steamy, sweet, and there’s an HEA for those that are so inclined. Pure entertainment, that’s what this is.
I don’t have much to say about the two MCs because Broadsword was easily the star of the show. He deserved the spotlight and I wished he had more dialogue just so I could get more opportunities to chuckle at how well he torments Alex. As for Alex and Leith, aside from a couple of moments of douchebaggery, honestly, they didn’t leave a lasting impression but I’m not at all disappointed because Broadsword made up for it.
The sex is panty-wetting. The scene at the private party was definitely something to remember. Watersports and bukkake make a much appreciated appearance. I really just couldn’t get enough of the debauchery. If only there was more *sigh*
Hoping there’s a second installation soon. Recommended to anyone looking for an easy, erotic M/M read but is ok with a dash of comedic relief and the bizarre.

I don't even know how to begin to write this review. It's part farce, part romance, part extended acid trip. I guess the best way to handle this is to start from the beginning. Alex is a straight nightclub impresario who finds himself greatly altered after consuming a "love potion" of sorts. The love potion has a strange effect on him -- it seems to bring out his gay side, and he ends up hooking up with a hot guy who haunts his memories after what he thinks is a one-night stand.
However, Leith -- the guy -- isn't the only one who's haunting him:
From there, things go over-the-top quickly. There's lots of hot sex, a lot of drama since the two MCs have the emotional maturity of 8-year-olds, and a lot of chaos.
This isn't the kind of book you take seriously -- it's more a "go along for the ride" kind of thing -- but there are some things that might perturb readers of more traditional M/M romances: However, there is very little likelihood that the reader will become emotionally attached to these two characters, although there are moments of pathos for both of them.
Would I have read this if I weren't reviewing it? Possibly not. But now that I have, I think at some point I'll revisit this book, if only to see if it's as over-the-top as I remembered.
A very short and very hot cum fest. The author says it in the beginning of the book. It is fantasy, so there are no condoms in this book. Because the author has mentioned it up front, I have no problems with it. It makes for a very very hot and sexy read. The blurb is all you need to know. This book is read because of all the erotica, not because it is literature. The reasonably decent story with likable characters is just a bonus. If your looking for something uncomplicated and erotic, this is it.

Alex is celebrating his 35th birthday when he's approached by a pretty lady whom he hits on. She hands him a drink that she persuades him will grant him a wish. The next day he wakes up all out of sorts and an erection that just won't quit. When he gets a text message with pic attachment he's a little freaked out considering he identifies as straight and the text was from a half naked guy thanking him for the previous night. On closer inspections he realizes who the guy in the picture is. Things get weirder when his genital starts conversing with him.
I thought the story was a bit comical with how his privates could communicate with him and egg him on. His penis was outrageous but so fun/funny. His fantasies were pretty hot although the one with the ballerina threw me off I'm still not one for menage.
The truth about Leith's part in everything was pretty darn amusing and a tad cute. I like that he had family willing to go so far for him.
The quest for a partner was ideal and I like the thought that Leith wanted to settle down but when both it was shared that Leith had an orgy and is a cumslut it took the romance part out of it for me.
Also the unprotected sex was kind of scary I couldn't help but think about what sorts of danger they each put each other in considering the both lead very very active sex lives. Also driving while have sex was another scary moment. Then the orgy/swinger party just took it to another level. Alex didn't even know if he was safe but was talked into it anyway. The characters really lost my respect at that point. Never mind their already questionable personalities/character.
When Alex and Leith start their sexual relationship they kind of forget about RL. No one goes to work, they're mostly fucking and with the exception of dinner out. Alex even admits to not knowing what day it is until Leith needs to leave for a business trip.
Alex coming to the realization he needed more than sex was great. Leith not realizing it wasn't. The last two chapters were the highlight of the book for me.

I love Savannash Smythe, now rebranded as SA Smythe, so I was expecting to enjoy Docklands Diamond - and I did!
Docklands Diamond is laugh out loud funny, tender and sexy in turns. I do love the banter and sense of fun that trademarks British romance novels. It’s so real, and so incredibly human. I think heartwarming is the word I’m looking for.
Alex and his talking cock, Broadsword, had me in fits of giggles. I also liked Leith, the playboy with the dark side, Kento, the fun and sensible friend, Shirley, the embarrassing mum, and Willow, the no-nonsense witch.
Critical reviews mean pointing out the rough with the smooth. There’s nothing bad about this book at all, except that I wasn’t in the mood for a lot of sex, and as it’s an erotic romance, I skipped a few of the longer scenes. It didn’t worry me because the story kept me enthralled.
I was really excited to read this book. I had read several of the reviews and most people said it was hilarious. I love books that can make me laugh and when I heard there was a talking penis named Broadsword, I couldn't wait.
I don't really think the book lived up to the comedy level I expected though. I really only found myself giggling once or twice. I enjoyed the story, but I was disappointed in not finding a laugh factor like I thought I would.
Would I read more from this author? Sure. I had fun reading this book. I just think I'll go into the next book a little more skeptical.
Well what I can I say about this book. Wow comes to mind but I'm not sure if it's a good thing. This book left me flabbergasted because it revolved around a talking penis. Yes, you read that correctly. A talking penis. The book without that would have been better. Although parts of it were comical, it was just very weird.
The book is a straight to gay story. Alex is fighting the fact that he is very much gay and has hidden it so deep that he thought he was happy with girls until his 35th birthday, where he is given a potion and meets a man who sparks up his libido even more. Leith has been in lust with Alex for some time and gets his sister to cook up a potion that is supposed to make Alex feel the same. But the plan goes horribly wrong. Enter the talking penis. Here the story just gets weird as Alex has conversations with it all day long, every day. If you could skip the talking appendage, the story becomes sweet in that Leith is doing anything he can to woo Alex. As with anything in life it's not all sunshine and roses. They make mistakes and end up apart, but it ends up an HEA.
The characters, Alex and Leith, are very relatable in that they are like any other 'couple’ trying to figure things out. It just becomes a little harder for Leith seeing as Alex insists at every turn he is straight. And yet his body betrays him every time and he lets himself go with it. With guilt later. Alex ends up admitting he is gay and things become rough as they try to learn each other. But in the end, love prevails.
The book was OK to read. I just could not get myself past the talking penis. It left the book feeling off and I had a hard time reading it because of that. If you can get past that part of the book (which is throughout the whole book I might add), then it is a love story that seems like real life.
