It's been a while since I've read the previous volumes, so, this story was largely lost on me. Still, I appreciated the artwork.

The battle was hard to follow at first but I liked learning about Yellow Radio/King and the armor. A little cheesy at times with Scarlet Rain and co but overall pretty good. The end too was kinda cliche/predictable.

A lot of fighting makes for a somewhat dull reading experience. I prefer seeing Haruyuki in the real world rather than the virtual world. 3.5 stars is about right.

There’s not much new I can say about the fourth volume of Accel World. I still like the avatar designs the most, and the general story. It was kinda obvious that the Red Queen was a traitor but I still enjoyed the twist.

The thing that annoyed me the most in this volume though was the behaviour of the girls which is depicted so cliché and over the top. The whole plotline around Kuroyukihime being jealous of an eleven-year-old(!) girl is just really weird. Haru was a bit annoying here as well, and I hate those harem vibes I get with all the girls falling for him for no reason. By the way, this series definitely fails the Bechdel test.

I still like Accel World, but I have to admit... I was lost during the battle sequences.
