I regret not reading the reviews and spoilers before reading this book. Wtf is this shit?! Zero blames doormat for a miscarriage and was caught cheating and zero did not even chase the doormat for years!!! If it wasn’t for a chance encounter after 7 years, zero would have done absolutely nothing except screw more clubwhores. Also, wtf doormat was celibate for 7 years?! Gawd why?!!!

I was given and ARC for a honest review

2.75 not enough groveling and a strong heroine became weak stars.

First let me say - I am a hard reviewers on books. I rarely ever give 5 stars and in fact my average rating is right around 3. To get a 5 a book has to be truly spectacular. I'm talking blow my mind good! A four star rating for me means I really like it, three means it was good but probably not on the re-read list, two I mostly suffered through it and one is I wish I could un-read it. With that being said a 2.75 means that the book was just ok for me.

Where this book failed for me was the lack of conflict/angst. We had the perfect set up - past lovers who parted on terrible terms. There should have been a lot of push and pull. A lot of groveling. A lot of explaining past actions and healing emotionally. We didn't get that though. We got a one chapter apology that went something like this:

"You hurt me"
"I know, I'm sorry. I was young and stupid"
"Ok, I forgive you and want to be with you again"

Considering their past there it should have taken more than a few pages for them to get over the it. Plus, Demon didn't even chase after Paige when she left. He watched her walk away and moved on with his life. He eventually came to the realization that he blamed her for something that she couldn't control and that he was wrong BUT he still didn't go after her. For 6 books we've heard about "the one who got away" Well, man up and if you still want her...go after her!! Stop wallowing is self pitty and endless club whores. To his credit though, when he saw Paige again he decided he wanted her back and went after her. THAT is what I love about Winter's hero's...they see something they want and they go after it. They chase and they pursue until they get their woman. The downside...he waited almost 8 years to decided he would fight to get her back.

As for Paige, I enjoyed her character until around chapter 15. Up till that point she was one of my favorite heroines. I like strong but refined heroines and for me a few of the heroines in the previous books have been lacking in the refined area. Personally, its hard for me to stomach a heroine who can out cuss and out drink a sailor. Its just not very womanly to me. Don't get me wrong, I cuss and occasionally I drink, but some of them were just over kill as it was so in your face. There have been times when the only thing that kept me reading was the hero.

But back to Paige. Up till chapter 15 she was that strong and refined heroine. She lost me though in two areas. 1 - she forgave Demon way too easily and 2 - she was the classic cliche of "you ruined me for anyone else" Seriously...she told him that! She didn't move on in almost 8 years...no sex, no boyfriends...NOTHING!!

From that point on it was hard for me to stay "in" the book. The writing was good and the few errors I found were more than likely corrected in the final editing process. There were a few other bumps but nothing serious for our main characters. Overall, this was a good book and a fan of the series will like it. In the author's defense her writing typically doesn't involve a lot of angst/conflict so the lack of it wasn't necessarily out of the normal for her. For me though, I think she missed the opportunity to create a truly emotional book that brought all the feelings out and had you rooting for the characters.

Everyone talking to her that he did not cheat ... in my opinion it's cheating.
Read this scene and make your own conclusions.

Dustin was sitting on the bed, his back against the headboard with his pants unzipped. His hand was stroking his cock while his eyes watched every move two naked women were making while they made out with each other at the end of the bed. I stopped, my breath caught in my throat and I didn’t know what to do.
My boyfriend, the man who I was going to have a baby with not even three weeks ago, was watching two women make out while he jacked off to it. My heart felt like it was repeatedly being stabbed over and over as I stood there watching.
My whole body went numb and my phone that I was holding slipped through my fingertips and crashed onto the floor. Dustin’s eyes finally fell on me, and he just stared at me. His hand in mid stroke on his dick and a shocked expression on his face.

“It’s gonna take a whole lot more than fireworks to make up for jerking off to two girls.”

You know the worn out stupid drill. He got to screw his way through hordes of women "enjoying the club lifestyle" as he put it. Of course he "loved" the h the whole time he was drilling all these other women "eye roll"....while she remained celibate for 7 years because she didn't want anyone after him. VOMIT.

Where are the women who live in THIS century who are fed up with this crap being shoved down our throats as a "love story". Get a damn spine & brain while you're at it.

A Winter Travis Book

This author's books just gets better and better with every Devil's Knight Book. And I absolutely loved it.

This story is about Paige and Demon. It literally starts off exactly where Keeping Meg ended. Demon (real name Dustin) and Paige haven't seen each other since Paige walked in on Demon in a bit of a compromising position. So needless to say she was not happy to see him again.
Demon couldn't believe that he was seeing Paige again, the only women he has ever loved.

Paige and Demon's story is a bit heart breaking when you read what they went through. But the author keeps you on the edge of your seat to see how they will eventually find their way back to each other.

We also get to see the rest of the club making an appearance and Big A is still a thorn in the club's side and Fayth and Slider's chemistry is heating up. And seriously Winter how can you leave me hanging with that ending

Definitely another awesome book in this series that you will kick yourself for not picking up! So read it NOW!!!

Another case of a woman finding her man cheating and she leaves him. Seven years go by and Demon is screwing any and everyone and enjoying the life of the MC. He never forgot his first love but he figured she was in his past and would never see her again. Now Paige is in town and she runs into Demon at Meg's wedding. She tries to avoid him but mere weeks later she is with him and willing to hear him out. Sadly another fool who forgives with one comment that he didn't know why he cheated. Just young and stupid. You stay celibate since him and forgive him instantly. You deserve someone who didn't respect you enough to talk to you instead of running to someone else because he was butt hurt. BOO WHO!!!!

Demon fell hard for Paige and he knew that she was the one for him. Then something happened and it changed everything. No!!

Paige loves her dirty mouth biker. They were so happy with each other but that all changed when she.....

Yes, they were separated for 7 years!!

I love this series and waiting for the next book. Crazy

Well if you read the last book you could guess who this book is about. I just don't see how a prospect for a MC club with all his duties could hide the fact that he had a girlfriend for a year and went through what they did.

This is a second chance romance... not much more I can say without giving spoilers.

Received ARC for honest review.

Every time I start to read a book by Winter I know two things are going to always happen, (1 make sure have enough time to read the whole book as wont want to stop), (2 will be laughing like a hyena).

Fighting Demon will take you on an emotional roller coaster that you will want to ride again and again, Demon and Paige are a great leading couple. The way Winter wrote this story line was great the little flashback scenes to show us their past were written in way that didn't leave the reader confused, as so many authors do when they jump from present to past. The why behind their breakup in the past was written in a way that many a reader will be able to understand and dose help you to be routing for them to find their way to a happy future together. Yet again Winter leaves us begging for the next book with that ending, we all will be stalking her wanting to know the release date.

Overall I would say that even if you have not read any other book of Winters (You will be kicking yourself wondering why you waited so long to pick up a book by this wonderfully talented author.) you could pick this up and read without having read the rest of the series but would recommend reading the others so you know who is who.

Stool Runnings

Read this book and you'll understand how funny the name "Stool Runnings" is. If you've been reading this series, you're familiar with Meg and let me just say the hilarity continues!
This book is based on Demon and Paige who have a past together as a couple so this is also a second chance romance. Lots of good chemistry between these two. My only complaint is that the book seemed short. I'm excited to read Slider and Fayth's story now!

I found this book tedious. It was a struggle to finish the book. The characters were a bit boring especially the h. The secondary characters were a bit ridiculous and childish - Meg in particular. MC light - mentioned here and there that they belong to a MC but no real action.
Attention to detail needed. The h indicates that she was with the H when she was 21, for a year, than she hasn't seen him for 7 and she is 31. Hmmmm

This is more romance than MC and it's second chance love, a little heartbreaking and emotional. Both characters were young first time around and a tragic loss broke them apart, neither have really moved on relationship wise in 7 years. This is them 're connecting, talking and starting again, of course we have to have Big A butt in causing four more characters to gate crash the getaway. I didn't get why Remy is there but Faye's son isn't since he is only 15 and supposed to be being kept in check by Slider, no mention of whether Leo has him. Also where did the other women go, If everyone was told to hide? I was empathetic to Demon and Paige they had a hard knock and really just forgot to talk and comfort each other, it's something that can happen even with older couples, it's devastating. Again a cliff hanger ending, where is the rest of the Assassin's? Big A seems to be totally acting alone so I'm not sure if the rest actually agree with what he is doing, every sighting apart from very early on has him alone. Hopefully we will soon get this settled coz it's very weak and lacking in any real punch for the most part. Other than that this was an enjoyable romance.

PREFACE: I'M NOT MUCH FOR POSTING BOOK REVIEWS (RATINGS ATE ABOUT AS MUCH AS I CAN DO CONSISTENTLY), SO IF YOU WANT A GOOD BOOK REVIEW LOOK AT SOME OTHERS ( THEY ARE USUALLY BETTER). THE FOLLOWING ARE JUST MY RANDOM THOUGHTS & FEELINGS REGARDING THIS BOOK/SERIES. FOR SOME REASON I CHOSE TO JOT SOME RARE THOUGHTS DOWN AFTER THIS BOOK...

Very sweet story. This biker gang is very faithful & fall- -over-stupid-in-love with their somewhat-average women. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that, inbox fact, that would be great. However, "like" usually goes for "like" & bikers usually go for biker chicks or slutty women. Yes, I know I'm stereotyping bikers. But it has been true for the most part. I could see one biker falling for a normal woman as an outlier, but it's sort of silly after the 7th or so book of a "biker falls for the average girl". I get the fantasy of it all, that's why I read them, but they ALL turned out to be the same couple type in this series. I do love the comedy writing (especially Meg), & plot lines have gotten better, but character development really needs work now.

Fighting Demon: Devil's Knights Series Book 7

Demon has been a hard A** about people being in relationships from time Lo got with Meg. Now we found out why. .. Wow what a bomb that was. I think they are each other half. You can't have lost what they did & it not make them strong enough to get through anything else thrown at them. I think she will smooth out Demons rough edged & he will make her start to not plan things as much. Omg that cliffhanger at the end with Slider & Fayth.. Can't wait to see what happens next in the storyline. I'm recommending you read them in the correct order or you will be lost. I recommend this series & the Author. You won't be disappointed in the story or the Authors writing style.. I read & finished book 1 and bought all the books that was out at the time. Thank you Winter Travers for the great series. Hope they go on for a long time.

HOLY S**T! WHAT A CLIFFHANGER!

WINTER YOU'RE KILLIN ME!! I am solo lovin this series! Is it just me or is Meg getting nuttier with each book? She cracks me up! Wow, Demon has turned out to be a total and complete surprise. I would have never expected his character to be so sweet. He is a big bad@** alpha but a Ruff Tuff Powder Puff when it comes to Paige. But I loved every minute of it. Lol. I can't wait to see what the future holds for them. When we find out about their history together it both aggravating and heartbreaking. Demon was a complete bonehead but Paige should have confided in him, but, they were just too young. But now these two are set your crotch on fire smokin hot together. Lol. I highly recommend this series to everyone!

Wow, this book is very interesting. We finally find out why Demon always gives his advice to the people who find their ones. We also learn more about Demon and Paige.

I loved Demon, I thought he was a idiot at beginning, but he won me over. He is caring in his own way, and adventurous. He never makes a plan, flies by the seat of his pants. He is dominant, but also has a sweet side to him.

I loved Paige, she is crazy, sassy and funny. She knows what she wants and goes for it. She loves time to herself. She fits in well with everyone, and she is laid back.

I loved this book, and I can't recommend this series enough.

Sweet Demon

Demon & Paige had a really rough run when they were younger, & they each had to work through the messiness of that past in order to get to their HEA. I love that they both recognized the work & communication needed. They have a sweet reunion when they get there.

I also enjoyed getting to see more of Meg's shenanigans and the guys in the club! Lots of fun in this story even with the initial heartache. And I'm looking forward to reading the rest of Slider & Fayth's story next!!

After 7 long yrs the past came back unexpectedly but it is a good or bad thing? Maybe both... Demon and Paige loved each other 7 yrs ago then everything fell apart. Can they give in and rekindle what they lost or will they always avoid each other? Read and find out. Even though everything went bad b4 they can possibly make it work if they don't let their damn pride stand in their way. It was good but I don't quite get the very last part of the book. It was really good and Megan as usual was 2 damn funny!! Lol

A hidden history comes to light when Demon and Paige’s paths cross once more. Eight years ago, both made choices that shattered their love for each other. Now, with Paige back in his sights, Demon is determined to hold onto her this time. However, things are not as straightforward as they appear. Will their rekindled relationship end before it even begins, or can they leave the past behind and finally achieve the happy ending they’ve always desired?

Demon and Paige made for an intriguing couple, but it's clear they needed some couples therapy before diving back into their relationship. Unfortunately, the romance wasn't captivating enough for me to overlook their unresolved issues. However, the plot took a powerful turn toward the end, leaving me eager to see how it all wraps up in the final book of the series!

Love MC romances

Love Demon and the guys. Such a good story.
This is then story of Paige and Demon. Demon is one of the guys in the club. He is a good guy that loves life and his club. Paige is Gwen's sister and the one that got away. Paige and Demon used to date 7 years before, but tragedy ripped them apart.
Another fabulous book in this series. Live the characters. Love the back story. Love Meg and her craziness. Love King.

I am not usually a fan of second change romances and to make matters worse the plot of the whole reason leading to the breakup usually rubs me the wrong way in a story, but for some reason the author pulled it off without me wanting to roll my eyes and put my book down. To my surprise, I ended up liking the characters and enjoying the book even with these two things going against it from the beginning.

Such a good redemption book. Demon was always so growly and grouchy and we finally understand why. He screwed with Paige and when he gets a second chance, he does everything he can to show her that she is who she wants. Paige didn't immediately given in to him and that was good. He needed to grovel a little and theh needed to talk about what happened in the past. They deserved their hapilly ever after after what they went through
