Number #26 in the Annie's Attic Mysteries has been read. Annie found a scrapbook in the attic with angels pictures inside of it. She also found an crocheted angel and was inspired to give the members of the Hook and Needle Club a new idea to work for their next project. All of the ladies of the club helped to organize the annual Mother and Daughter Dinner. Annie was able to find the owner of the scrapbook.
There was some danger inside the book, but all was made right in the end. I love these wholesome, delightful books.
All about angels. A busy book with busy ladies who do a lot of cooking, baking, crocheting, needle point, quilting, plus much more making the world around them a beautiful place, a world of fun and joy.
Annie's Attic contains so many different articles, papers, books, plus more. that people have given Betsy, Annie's grandmother, to keep for them. Annie and best friend, Alice, look to find who these people were and are or to relatives who should have what was kept away until it could be returned. Annie, Alice and the ladies of the Hook and Needle Club are good sleuths and detectives.
Much goes on. Annie finds a leather-bound book filled with different pictures of angels. A beautiful, expensive book. Who could this belong to?
The church has its annual banquet of mothers and daughters, a popular event. The Hook and Needle Club is asked to take over this event. June Wallace, the pastor's wife is taking care of her sister, Gabriella, who has Alzheimers and takes up so much of her sister's time. Of course, the ladies agree.
Ian and Annie are getting serious. Ian invites Annie to his family reunion picnic at a park and introduces her to his parents. The ladies are making angel favors for the mother-daughter banquet, one on each plate. Many ladies are involved. Gwen, one of the Hook and Needles members, gets a friend, Lavinia, to be the speaker. Lavinia, a well known author and a very intelligent woman, has agreed to the delight of all. Gabriella, mistakes Annie for Betsy, let her. Betsy was so well loved. Annie's daughter, Lee Ann is able to fly up from Texas to attend the banquet. Mom is happy.
Annie Dawson has discovered another mystery in the attic at Grey Gables, and her search for answers leads her to angels, human and otherworldly. This Annie's Attic Mystery kept me guessing until the end, and I always enjoy reading about the needlework done by Annie and her friends in the Hook and Needle Club. This was a quick read, but very pleasant.
This was a very light read. Picked up from a Put&Take shelf at our club house, I didn’t realize it was #26 in Annie’s Attic Mysteries. There was enough to the story to keep me going. Characters are as expected for a small town. The mystery sorts itself out in the end. Makes me wonder how many finds are in the attic to fill 26+ story books.
With Annie and Alice looking for something else in the attic they come across a scrapbook. But the mystery is pushed to the end of the book. I was very disappointed with this story line.
Easy, quick, make you feel good mystery from the "Annie's Attic Mystery Series." Same characters that I am familiar with from previous books. Always good for a quick turnaround!
Annie finds a scrapbook in the attic that doesn't belong to her grandmother--another mystery! The Hook and Needle Club take over the arrangements for the Mother-Daughter Banquet. Annie and Ian relationship takes another step!
