Being a freelance writer, I have composed many articles with both little and much content depending on the subject and instructions of the client. My experience includes drafting marketing materials, newsletters, product descriptions, blogs, copy editing, and internet research.
My writing over the years has included SEO content for Websites, articles on specific countries (Greece, India) book reviews, film and music previews and reviews, product and restaurant reviews, interviews, press releases, character sketches, social issues, and event coverage. I have been both a developmental editor and copy editor along with a public relations person for two authors and their novels. Formulating a wedding reading for a couple who came from two different islands in the Caribbean was definitely the most unique assignment I've had by far.
I have penned for both tangible and virtual media - from a column for an in-flight magazine to one within an e-zine and from a local newspaper to a national magazine. International recognition of my writing is found in the fact that I have been published in the US, UK, Canada, India, Greece, France, Australia, and New Zealand.
I have two published books, the historical fiction novel "Postcards from Goa', and Journey into the Soul', an anthology of short stories.
Wow! A lovely book that soaks us in culture - both Portuguese and Indian, specifically Goan. I learned a lot about Goan culture by reading this book. Beautiful written, this story of families and relationships and secrets and love burrowed under my skin - I adored both Eva and Tatiana. Spanning continents and decades, heartbreaking and heartwarming, this is a tale of memories and reaching out across the years to connect with the past and discover what has made us and our loved ones who we are, the battles and scars that have shaped us. Loved every word. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be reading more from this author.
One of the most interesting books I have read in historical fiction. I bought it because I was curious about the title and I was not disappointed. Not only it makes us feel good having 2 beautiful love stories in it, but also it gives us such detailed descriptions of India (Goa in particular). Also it gives us a perspective of the presence of Portugal in India from the Indian point of view. At the end of the book I was really wishing to go back to India and visit Goa. A must read and quite unputdownable book.
From the time I received the book to finishing it took me three days flat! I just couldn't put down this beautiful, mesmerising story. It's a beautiful story of a young woman's journey to the past to discover the secrets of her grandmother's past and whilst on this eye opening journey, she discovers the beautiful feeling in the world that she had been suppressing for a long time - Love. This book is a must read!
LOVED!! For someone who is not a book reader, this book kept me reading for the "what happens next"! Couldn't put it down. Beautiful yet very touching story about Love found, love lost, And... well read it for yourself... I think it would make a perfect Bollywood film...
