Better than the first book!

There was a lot of action in this book. Davy learns more about her powers, where they come from, how to shield herself so other supernaturals don’t find out what she is. Lucas Roane also keeps protecting her as she learns to help in the fight against those who want to use her or kill her.

Pippa looked at me. Her mouth fell open and the questions flew over her mind. ‘What happened? What is Davy lying about? I didn’t know she was dating anybody—wait—she’s not dating Emily, is she? That wouldn’t be good. Oh no. Davy’s looking at me! I forgot she can hear my thoughts. Davy, don’t listen to me!’

WHERE THE HELL IS THE THIRD BOOK!!! I need it, there has to be a third book!! The cliffhanger was just evil and now i won't rest till I get the third book. Anyway, I loved this book and everything about it was great. I loved the characters except Emily and Kates, they were both bitches. Right now I hate Kates for what she did and she better have a good reason for why she did it. Emily was still annoying and I don't her anymore. Brown was the cutest character and she was amazing, I loved her personality and Pippa was great too. I loved Roane and Davy's relationship and I so hope it grows; they'll be the coolest couple ever!! The plot was amazing and I loved everything about this book; I liked it better than the first one. Anyway, I would really, really love to read the third book and I can so not wait for it:D Awesome!!!:)

5 Stars!!!

After a very strong first book, Davy Harwood in Transition was everything I hoped for and even more, so much more!

We saw Davy become stronger every day, not only because of all the training to control her Immortal powers, but she as a person. She had huge character development in this book.
Also her relationship with Lucas made a step forward, took them some time, thought.
The things he said to her after she returned to him from her training melted my heart.

But Davy wasn’t the only one who’s character became stronger, all of the side characters moved forward and that make me like them even more.

The only character that pissed me of was the roommate, Emily.

Two new characters I instantly liked were Pippa and Gavin. Brown (Sarah) found a way straight to my heart.

To the story:

Well, what can I say! It blew me away! I couldn’t put the book down. Something happened all the time, the excitement never left.

To the enemy’s:

The Roane Elders saw Davy as a threat and wanted to destroy her, they didn’t like that she could control/use the Immortals power.

We had still the Lucan issue. After the battle in book one Lucan got away and Lucas couldn’t find him.

And the Werewolf’s started to become more and more of a problem.

And then the ending! Holy shit what an ending!
I knew something like that would happen. I hoped not, but I felt it coming.
So much betrayal!

Huge cliffhanger, thank god book 3 is already released. I would have cried myself to sleep, if I had to wait to read Davina.

Ok, just so you know I write my review in my notes app on my phone FIRST before I decided to put it onto goodreads. I’m still pissed goodreads deleted my review for the last book in this series 😡

So, this book. I am SO CONFLICTED! Like idk if I liked it, idk if I didn’t like it. I don’t know if I actually like the characters or the plot.

Overall, still the same thing as the last book. Key details were missing. I’m telling you, even the smallest missing details done many different times creates wholes in character development, scene building, and the plot. I was simply annoyed.

I like how the author doesn’t explain every little thing to build who these creatures are, but this is also a downfall as well. For example, it wasn’t explained before that vampires could fly in this series, but all of a sudden they do? The details weren’t clear which made me have another thing that made me not like how this fantasy world is being built.

The characters are having their moments, but some of the things they do seems out of character! Idk if you’ve ever read a book and wondered who a character is, based on their actions, but I have with a few characters in this one.

Just a side note. I hope the author fills all of these plot holes going on here. She’s got a lot of details in the works within the plot and the moving parts within the plot. With how this series is going, I hope she can truly fulfill all of the plot holes in this last book. If not, I’m going to be very disappointed in Tijan, and she’s one of my favorites! Ugh

This was ok. I hope it gets better. 3.0 star rating.

Amazing!

Tijan never ceases to amaze me. I always talk about the cover first. This cover I simply adored...simple and tells a story.

I loved Roane and Davy’s storyline in this book. I also loved Davy’s character development, while on and off I feel almost like she’s finally coming into her own.

This was an amazing read and I can’t wait to read the next installment.

So, the last week was all about Tijan. This woman can write! Yes, there is always a similar plot line. A kick ass girl who gets the hottest kick ass guy, her friends, will soon be her past friends and there will be one maybe two good friends in the end. I know what lots of you think and I normally agree that an author should show different colors. But Tijan does exactly that. She always creates another world and it always captivates me till the end. And I love that same plot!! I love kick ass heroines in a book (and I mean the real ones not the ones who are just pathetic and wanna be heroines- Tijan gets them just right!), I love adult books and there is just always enough of that and gladly not too much and I love hot heroes ;-). I just enjoy these kind of books so much and I do not have to worry before buying any of Tijan's books cause I know they're perfect for me.

Now, especially this series hooked me up from the very first line again. And I do love books with magic, vamps and weres. That is why I devoured the first two parts of this series and am shocked to see that there is no third book yet! Why isn't there a new one yet? (I'm begging you Tijan, please write and publish the third one!) I'm absolutely positive that this is her very best series and I read all the others already.

If you like it witty, sensual, intellectual, funny, heartbreaking and true, than this is your book.

What the effing hell!!!! you can´t leave me with this incredible cliffhanger of a finish !!??
This book was so much fun ... tones of fun much more than the first one , anr Roan , ohhhhh he was amazing .
but the best of all is that Dvy is such a strong character and the sotry is very entertaining , not super similar to other Tijan´s books , wich for me was not a bad thing , it´s like looking at a diferent kind of Tijan.
I really like the secondary charatcters too, but i dont know what will be of poor roomie ... that will be kind of sad i think.
And Kates, i have no words for her ...
CANT WAIT FOR THE LAST ONE ..... PLEASE HURRY

Book 2 in the Immortal Prophecy, and again, Tijan does not disappoint. This time we have vampires and werewolves searching for Davy, all wanting the immortal thread, non realising that Davy is more than the thread. Davy learns more and more about the responsibilities of being the immortal, and both Lucas and Davy realise that they are stronger together, and seem to accept their destiny. Love the action, the intrigue, betrayal and passion. A wonderful take on an age old storyline of vampires and the supernatural. So can't wait for book 3, I know it's in its way.

Loved this book, really starting to get it to the series :) the only thing I didn't like and someone correct me if I'm wrong, is the part where Davy asked roan if she should tell Tracey about talias baby, when didn't Davy steal the photo of talia and her baby from Tracey's bag? Wouldn't that suggest that Tracey already knows? Otherwise loved this book and love tijans writing! read so many books by this author and love them all :)

This second in the trilogy is really good in some aspects and really annoying in others.

Really good = the action, plot line and all the awesome twists and turns. It really does keep one turning those pages.

Annoying = Davy. The CONSTANT whining about her situation and moaning about wanting to be “normal”... Oh for heaven’s sake, suck it up and deal, girl!! Also, her never telling her closest friends anything and lying, ignoring and basically NOT being much of a friend (because she is too busy obsessing over “poor me.”)

I also really hate cliffhanger endings that require you to purchase the next book. ALWAYS a deduction for those.

Wow

Wow just wow. Finally Davy is not being a crybaby and doing stuff. She is finally fighting and not letting everyone shelter her. Happy she is finally not useless like she is sometimes. She has so much power but in book ones it's like she still was just too scared to do what needed to be done! I Like how the drama is developing. Hope book 3 gets even better!

Incredible

No surprise but this book was awesome! Tijan never disappoints. I've had this series on my to read list for a while. I'm so glad I finally started reading it. This book was even better than the 1st one. I can't wait to read the next one.

As the second book in the Immortal Prophecy Series, Davy Harwood in Transition took us further into the supernatural world, and let us see Davy begin to embrace “The Immortal”.

With how things ended in Davy Harwood I jumped right into this book. This book is much more action packed than the previous book, and I found myself loving Davy more and more as each chapter passed. Lucas was still on my iffy list at the beginning of this book, but after the things he said to Davy when she returned… I knew how he felt about her and I started to love him as well.

In this book we get to meet some more interesting characters, but my favorites were Brown (the witch) and Pippa (the wolf). I was weary of them both at first, but in the end they showed they were better friends to Davy than Emily or Kates have ever been. Emily and Kates are both big parts of this story and I continued to hate them. Emily played the naive girl and a horrible friend quite well, and Kates had me suspicious all over again. I couldn’t trust either of these characters and I feel as if that feeling is justified at the end of this book. I hope in the third and final book they can redeem themselves and show they truly are good friends to Davy, but I will not be holding my breath for it to happen.

Watching Davy finally accepting who she is and starting to embrace it was awesome to watch. She’s a very strong character and she proved her strength multiple times in this book. She had to give up a piece of herself to be able to become who she is, and she struggled with it, but in the end she knew what she needed to do, and she ended up being stronger than anyone thought possible.

In this book we also get a few scenes in Lucas’s (Roane’s) head, which I loved and hope we get more of in the next book. He truly does love Davy and will do anything to protect her. I wish he would be more open with her at times, but I understand that he’s not. He’s hard on her when he needs to be, and he listens when she needs to vent, and he’s there to hold her and protect her when it’s needed. He really redeemed himself in this book in my opinion and I fell hard for him.

This book has many twists and turns that will leave you guessing throughout the entire book. Where Davy Harwood was a little predictable, this book was anything but. I am nervous to see what happens in the last book because with how this book ended (cliff-hanger alert!) I am on pins and needles to find out how everything plays out for Davy! I highly suggest picking this series up if you’re in a reading funk and need something different. Davy is an amazing character and her story is unique! Add this one to your TBR list today!

OK so I just finished this book and I was a little disappointed. I expected more from all the reviews I read. I'll start with the ending because it's still fresh in my mind. There was a huge in your face mistake there!!!!
Why didn't Davy communicate directly with Lucas when freeze bomb was launched. She had just been doing that when they were in the battle and clearly still had the power cause she was able to communicate with Sarah so why not?! I just couldnt get passed that point and it just felt like the author conveniently forgot that fact.

The second main issue that I just couldn't get passed is the relationship between Davy and Lucas. I just kept waiting for the why. Why do they love each other, why do they feel so strongly towards each other. Like come in they just meet a couple times barely communicate then sleep with each other in book 1 and then in book 2 they can't spend any time together so that no one finds out she is the immortal, then she is gone for 3 months and bam they are in love. What is this connection built on. I don't mind instant attraction but Insta love is just so unbelievable to me.

I do like plot and the new characters that were introduced in the 2nd book as well the how much stronger Davy is getting.

I am really hoping that the 3rd book has some more explaining

An intense read!

She only hoped she wouldn’t lose her humanity at the cost of fulfilling the Immortal Prophecy...

So addicting this read is - I stayed up until 1 am to finish it. The book is intense, addictive and compelling.

The story was fantastic and unlike anything I have read before. The writing is perfect - just perfect. It flowed naturally and was just perfect.

Full of empaths, vampires, prophecy, the Immortal, hunters, slayers, mystery, betrayal, secrets and romance.

Perfect for readers of paranormal romance.

Okay so if you're reading this review you know what a phenomenal author Tijan is, she can tell a story like no other and Davy Harwood in Transition is no exception. I couldn't wait to read this second book of the series and what a whopper it was, this book was filled with angst, action, craziness, hope, some sexy and some love. I'm definitely hooked and running on to the last book of the series! Can't wait!

I thought this book was amazing. It was a great follow up to the first. This story had the perfect amount of Conspiracy, Deceit, Action and Romance.
Mackenzie Cartwright has been added as my new favorite narrator. She did a great job on the female and male characters. Roane and Davy together are amazing. I love the supporting characters too especially Brown. A must read if you are a Tijan fan

Drew me in just as much as the first. I love the story between Davy and Roane plus the other friendships within the book. Davy is stronger than she could ever imagine if only she would realize it and accept her new fate. Can not wait to find out what is next.

In this new book, Davy has already perfected her powers as an Inmortal, and she will need them since in addition to facing the vampires, she must also fight the werewolves.
Emily, her roommate, has mated up with Pete, an alpha with inmortal powers though not as powerful as Davy.
Davy befriends Pippa, a werewolf who ends up protecting her from her own kind and Brown, a witch who, although she doesn’t have much powers at first, with Davy’s help, she manages to help her in the battle against the werewolves.
Kates, her childhood friend, joins the battle but Davy notices that something strange is going on with her and at the end of the book she discovers what it is.
The relationship between Davy and Lucas progresses to the next level, Talia’s ghost no longer worries so much Davy, especially when Lucas confesses his love for her. She knows that he loved Talía but not as much as he loves her. But in this book with some many threats they hardly have time to be together.
After the end I’m dying to know how Davy’s story ends and who will survive at the end.

“Do you think that I’ll never be over her?” As his head lifted up, his eyes caught mine. Piercing. “You think so little of me? That I’ll never be able to move past Talia? Is that what you think of me?”“I think you still love her and that you always will.” “Talia was a part of my life. A big part of my life, but she wasn’t my entire life. She wasn’t the reason I woke up. I didn’t think of ways every morning to protect her, ways to help her live a better life, ways to make sure that she never felt the pain that so many others would in our world. I didn’t start a war to protect her. I didn’t make myself ache every day because I missed her so much when I knew that she needed to live a normal life. I didn’t kill vampires or humans without a second thought for her. I never did those things for Talia.”“The elders thought I was growing too close to her so they sent me away. I went. I never argued. I never considered it. I didn’t fight for her and I was gone for over a year before I felt her death. And when I felt it, Davy, it didn’t hurt. She was where she wanted to be. She was at peace. I loved her, but not like I love you. I love you to the point of starting a war for you. I love you to the point where I want you to be in college. I want you to have as normal of a life as you possibly can. Because one day I know that you’ll have to leave all of that. You’re going to have to stop being a normal human and come by my side to be the Immortal. I know that you don’t want that. I know that you want me, but you want to be normal more. And I’m trying to help you. I am, but it’s so goddamn hard when you disappear for three months and I can’t do one thing to bring you back to me. And then, suddenly, you’re here. You’ve come back to me and I had nothing to do with it. You brought yourself back. You saved yourself. You did it. Not me. It’s a hard pill to swallow when I’m able to protect anybody, but I can’t protect you, the one person that I would do anything to save. I can’t. And then you tell me about Talia’s daughter. I’m reminded that it’s another thing I can’t give you. I can’t have a child with you. And I want to. I want so much to do that. I want to have a normal life with you, but I can’t. We can’t, but you can have parts that are normal. You can still have a child. I didn’t think Immortals could, but she did so you can—”

I was hoping that this book would have some improvements over the first one, as I thought outside the interesting premise, the book felt flat and uninspired in my review. However, I was sadly disappointed.

The same issues I had with the first book prevail here, with the added disarray of introducing a menagerie of new characters. One of the big sore points for me in the first book was lack of characterization and with all the new characters introduced that issue still persisted. Pippa is the suspicious quiet girl, Brown is the eccentric blabbermouth, Pete is the overbearing temporary villain for pure convenience, etc etc. No further development is added.

The relationship between Davy and Roane is also completely contrived. At one moment he tells her Talia and her are separate and his feelings for Talia are gone and he loves her for her now ... then 2 seconds later admits that's a lie. And then they have very little contact (and the contact they do have is coolly platonic at best) ... then a few months after no contact, he loves her, would die for her, is willing to start a war for her. Like, where? Yeah we can see he cares and wants her, but she can sense (and he confirms) that he doesn't love her and he still loves Talia. Anything that suggests otherwise is a total retcon to what happened earlier in the book.

Still reading the last book because I'm really hoping for some improvements and I committed to reading the whole series but I'd be lying if I said I was optimistic.

There are three major wars to come because Davy is becoming the Immortal. Two are with vampires and one is with werewolves. Lucas stayd=s with Davy to help her become The Immortal because without her they will lose the wars.

Davy's best friend has fallen for a werewolf that means to destroy Davy. Emily doesn't believe that her boyfriend Peter could do such a thing as kill her friend. But 1peter is the alpha of all the werewolves and he believes that he is the thread holder and he should become The Immortal.

Peter goes after Davy and Lucas once again must step in to save her. Lucas loves Davy even though he was in love with the previous thread holder Talia. This makes Davy question his love for her.

I listened to this book on Audible. Book two wasted no time sweeping me back into the world Tijan created in Davy Harwood. This book did exactly what the middle part of a trilogy should do: build on the knowledge from book one and set the stakes for book three. I loved seeing the world expand and new characters be introduced. One minute I was cheering my girl on, the next I’m swooning over Lucas, then I’m gasping at a development I didn’t see coming. I marveled at the new mythology that came into play with the werewolves and the way the author created a connection from them to the Immortal. I ended the story with more questions than answers, fully ready to take the plunge with book three.

This Is Such A Complex Tale!🐺✨️💥
Davy Harwood In Transition: The Davy Harwood series, Book 2
By: Tijan
Audiobook 🎧 Narrated by: Mackenzie Cartwright
Length: 8 hrs and 35 mins

Davy needs to accept what she's to become, The Immortal. Unfortunately, she's stubbornly, immaturely in denial.🙄

She meets a new friend, Brown, a witch. She's extremely strong but cursed not to touch her magic. She's also socially awkward, which makes for some funny exchanges.😂 A werewolf also comes into their circle. She and Davy aren't too friendly, but her and Emily grow close. Kates returns!👀

This has great world building and wonderful characters. I'm excited to read book 3 again.👏⭐️

Audiobook version:
This series is fabulous! It has the perfect amount of story, steam and action for a New Adult PNR. There is plenty of action, a good amount of betrayal and a whole lot of intrigue. Tijan is my Unicorn Author- Love everything she writes.

Narration is awesome! I love the voices! A lot of narrators struggle with have both a great Male and Female character voice. Mackenzie does not have that problem. They are both wonderfully done and a pleasure to listen to.

Can't wait to read more!
