Finding Chris Evans #6

Finding Chris Evans: The Ever After Edition

Rate this book
Worried by an unexpected increase in her caseload, social worker Ellie Mittelstadt is looking for anything to make her smile. When she stops in a fortune teller’s tent at the Haralson Fall Festival, however, she never expects the psychic to predict she’ll fall in love—and with a man named “Chris Evans.” What are the odds?

Worse, she quickly discovers five Chris Evanses in Haralson, which means Ellie can only determine her perfect match via bold—and occasionally hysterical—trial and error. Still, she can’t help wonder…what if?

Dr. John Christopher Evans is new to Haralson, and it’s been a challenging first week. He has a hospital administrator who can’t read his handwriting and business cards and ID badge that read Dr. John Enars, and his first patient is a young boy with an illness that defies diagnosis. The only person keeping the child company is his social worker, Ellie—who instantly charms John with her gentle smile and generous heart. If he had any game, he’d ask her out…but after mourning his late wife for the past couple of years then getting so caught up in his work, he doesn’t even know where to begin.

Ellie’s campaign for true love is going nowhere fast, but at least she’s distracted with her newest charge—and his strong, caring physician “Dr. John”, who’d be perfect except he’s not Chris Evans…and he’s still wearing a wedding band. How in the world will she ever find romance when she can’t stop thinking about Mr. Wrong?

Fortunately for Ellie, fate has things well in hand…

Now's your chance to fall in love with Chris Evans, too--six different times! The Finding Chris Evans series features NYT and USA Bestselling authors Erin Nicholas, Jennifer Bernard and Erin McCarthy, and award-winning authors Lizzie Shane, Elizabeth Bemis and Jennifer Chance.

Clearing my kindle of older reads, I saw Finding Chris Evans and it made me smile as I had read two of them previously. I purchased the whole series on kindle as the premise sounded amazing, a fortune-teller telling six strangers that they would fall in love with someone named Chris Evans. In Ever After Edition, we meet our female character Ellie who is a social worker and her sister nudges her to get her fortune read. Here she is told she would fall in love and meet her HEA with Chris Evans. Once home, Ellie decides to check it out as there can't be that many Chris Evans in their smalltown but turns out to be 5 as it seems or in her case 6 when we discover her lucky guy's real name is John Christopher Evans II, as John shares the same name as his dad - he has always gone with Chris. He has gotten a job at the local hospital and meeting his first patient is a foster kid, this puts Ellie in his path. The two strike up a connection but of course, Ellie doesn't pay much attention as due to a spelling error she thinks the doctor's name is John Enars. As Ellie goes along her journey to find her "Chris Evans" she will meet the others but realize they aren't her "One" all the while the handsome Doctor keeps being thrown her way. What will Ellie's reaction be when she learns that her Doctor is known as Chris Evans? Was he her perfect one and "Ever After" all along? Find out in Elizabeth Bemis's take on Finding Chris Evans.

I was SO ready for this book. I wanted to know how Ellie met HER Chris Evans. I loved the concept of each of the different authors writing about their characters and their Chris Evans match. I loved the snippets we saw of Ellie in each of those stores. I was really looking forward to a great story that finally saw Ellie get her HEA.

I was disappointed to have the first chapters of each previous story woven into this novel. I skipped pages. It left me feeling that there wasn’t much time with Ellie by herself and that it was all just an “incorporate the stories thus far” recap with just a tiny bit of Ellie’s own story. The writing was great, but it seemed even shorter than the others due to the recapping.

Love the adventures to find the right Chris Evans

Ellie's adventures to find the right Chris Evans are funny even though he was right in front of her. Love the way the hospital puts his name wrong due to his writing. Love the road trips and the chases but someone else always ended up with them. Both Ellie and This Chris have had sadness in the past. They work so well together. Love this story.

Finding Chris Evans: The Ever After Edition by Elizabeth Bemis is the lovely conclusion to the multi-author miniseries.

Ellie Mittelstadt is doing her best to find the Chris Evans the fortune teller predicted for her, but the string of Chrises she’s met are all falling for the women around her. The new pediatrician catches her eye, but his name is apparently John…

Ms Bemis does a lovely job with Ellie’s story, and it’s a joy to see her find her destiny and Chris Evans.

A cute recap of the previous books from Ellie's perspective as well as her encounters with Dr John Enars. Super fun read.

Fun quick cute story

This series was full of sweet stories of HEAs. I loved seeing each Chris Evans find his HEA. Each story was unique and quirky.

This is the last and final book in the Finding Chris Evans collection of novellas. While you can read these books out of order and actually not read all of them, I wouldn't recommend that. I think you'll get the most out of the whole collection if you read from the free prequel, Finding Chris Evans: The Fortune Teller Edition, and continue until you get here to the Ever After Edition. I will say I have loved this whole collection, I want my own Chris Evans!

FINDING CHRIS EVANS: THE EVER AFTER EDITION is the story of Ellie, the woman who set all of this into motion. Ellie sets out to find true love and after a fortune teller tells her she'll find it with a man named Chris Evans, Ellie is determined to find this Chris Evans! One way or another. Then she meets Dr. John.............who is perfect except his name isn't Chris Evans. Could the Fortune Teller have been wrong? And what happens when John learns what Ellie has been up to?

I have to say I waited for this one to come out. I wanted to see all the things Ellie got up to from her point of view. I wanted to see how it all would end and I wanted to see Ellie finally get her own love story. Guess what? I wasn't disappointed. Ms. Bemis wrote a wonderful ending to this collection. The story gave me all I wanted. It was wonderful watching Ellie try to figure out which Chris was "hers". It was fun seeing the steps that lead to the previous stories from Ellie's point of view. And it was such fun watching Ellie fall in love but unable to let go of the idea that John is NOT Chris Evans. This is a quick read and it's easy to follow, you don't have to read the previous books but you will want to after you read this one. I kinda hate to see it end. I want more from these characters.........I want to see them all again. Fans of fun characters with easy to read and follow story-lines will adore this story. The premise of this whole collection is intriguing and keeps you quickly turning pages to get to the next great story, to see it's come to an end is a little sad. But now I can go back and read each story all over and back to back. I highly recommend this collection and this story to one and all. You'll be glad you read it!!!

Ellie was told by the fortune teller that she would find the man of her destiny and his name would be Chris Evans. She has done many things in the last several month trying to track down all the chris evans in her local area. Each Chris Evan that she met has been an awesome person but each one of them had there eyes on a different girl. Many times they were her girlfriends which made her happy.

But now she is alone again with no Chris. She decides she is going to move on when she meets an amazing Dr that taking care of one of her kids that she is charge of. Ellie is social worker and she keeps a very close eye on her kids. As Dr Chris and Ellie continue to work together she starts fall for him. Will she let her guard down and let him in even though he is not what she was expecting.

Chris is surprised by how he feels about ellie and how taken she is to caring for her kids that she is responsible for a case worker and goes above and beyond. He finds that so endearing.

How will there relationship turn out in the end you will have to read to find out.

I enjoyed reading this book. I liked that this finished off the series of books. Because i read all of the other books i skipped some parts because they repeated from the other books. This book most definitely could be read as a stand alone book.

I received this book as an ARC from the authors.

if you haven't read the previous novellas in this series, then stop right here! This novella goes into great detail about each novella and will spoil the previous stories. At first I didn't like rereading parts of each novella, but it ties Ellie's crazy search for her HEA with Chris Evans together in the end.

Ellie starts out in the beginning, meeting Dr. John "Evars", really Evans. Ellie is a social worker who is called to the hospital to assist a child whose foster parents have dumped him at the hospital with no intentions of returning for him. While there, Ellie meets Dr. John. Ellie likes Dr. John and finds him easy to talk to. She even has dinner with him, amid all her escapades/adventures with all the Chris Evans prospects, but can't let go of the idea that she's meant to have a HEA with a Chris Evans--not John Evars. There's a few twists in the end, but Ellie does find her HEA!

I really enjoyed how Elizabeth Bemis brought all the novellas together! I loved the overall concept. The writers in this group are very talented and I enjoyed the whole series. If you enjoy rockstar, second chance romance, royalty romance, friends to lovers, these novellas cover it all! I read a gifted copy and all opinions expressed are my own.

I’ve been reading the Finding Chris Evans series and each and every story has had a bit about Ellie Mittelstadt looking for the love of her life, named Chris Evans, but there have been five of ‘em – so far – and this story is about the sixth and final “Chris”. Ellie meeting all the other Chris’s has been hilarious; there is always something going wrong with her actual meeting. Her friends that get their HEA with the Chris’s? Sweet, touching, hawt, and fun. There is a free prequel where Ellie actually runs into “her” Chris but she doesn’t actually meet him or get a good look at him. So when this story finally gives Ellie her HEA? It is priceless. I won’t give away any details because there is a comedy of errors that makes the story. I will say that it is a fitting end to Ellie’s quest to find “her” Chris Evans and while I’m happy she finally gets her story, I am sad to see all the quests end. Great story, wonderful series, and great job by all the authors.

What would you do if a fortune teller told you your destiny was to fall in love with Chris Evans? You’d find Chris Evans, of course. If you are our girl, you go and fall in love with the new staff pediatrician named John Enars; who’s really John Christopher Evans with really bad handwriting and a family that calls him Chris. Meeting the previous Chris Evans’ from our girl’s perspective is fun, but I would have liked more time to focus on the developing relationship between her and her own Chris Evans. This case of mistaken identity has the potential to get out of hand quickly, but Bemis keeps it on track. The final scene with the fortune-teller who started it all brings the entire series to full closure. This light, fun series is a great escape and a wonderfully creative exercise. I highly recommend the entire series.

Finally, the long awaited conclusion of the Finding Chris Evans series has arrived! The Ever After Edition is my very favorite story in the series because we finally get to read the entire journey from social worker Ellie Mittelstadt's perspective as she and Dr. John Christopher Evans collaborate on the case of 8 year old D'Artagnan Jackson who is Ellie's new client. Complicated with a case of mistaken identity, Ellie and Dr. John's story is engaging and full of emotional depth that touched my heart and made this ever-after romance a very memorable read. I highly recommend this entire series to contemporary romance fans who enjoy discovering new authors and reading different styles of romantic storytelling. I read a complimentary copy of this book and all opinions expressed in this voluntary review are completely my own.

A sweet final novella for a sweet mini series titled , Finding Chris Evans. Each of the stories was light and fun. The premise being that Ellie Mittelstadt goes to a fortune teller that tells her she will meet and fall in love with Chris Evans. The problem… there are 6 Chris Evans in the area!!! In each story others fall in love with the Chris Evans Ellie finds.
Ms Bemis does a great job in uniting all the stories in this final edition of the mini series. We can a glimpse of how Ellie moves from one Chris Evans discovery to the next.
The fortune teller is delightful, and the final story is touching and will leave you with a smile on your face.
So, take the time and read all the stories . Preferably in order, but regardless, join these talented authors in their search for Chris Evans.

I volunteered to read these stories. The opinions expressed are solely mine.

I loved this wrap up to the Finding Chris Evans series. Ellie Middlestadt is the girl who kicked off this series by meeting with the psychic. Along the course of the series, various friends and family have found their HEA with their own version of Chris Evans while Ellie still waits. I loved the way parts of every other book were in this book so we could see how things played out from her side of things. She feels an instant connection to the new doctor at the hospital, but his name is John Enars and not Chris Evans. What she doesn't realize is his name is John Christopher Evans. His bad handwriting led to the mix up on his name. While she's fighting her attraction to him, she goes after all the other Chris Evans out there. This was an enjoyable read and I enjoyed seeing how it all played out.

This was such a great book. My first by Elizabeth and will not be my last.
This is the final book of the series. Ellie finally gets her Happily ever after. Kellie is a social worker and has to meet up with a patient at the hospital that has been abandoned by his foster parents and is sick. The doctor in charge is who she thinks is John Enars. But he isn't he is the fortune tellers nephew. During the different times meeting him she also goes though each of the other meetings of the Chris Evans.
John Chris Evans is a Doctor in the ER. He lost his wife several years ago and is now considering dating again. He meets Ellie and likes her.

This was such a great book. Great way to end the story.

You know when you are having the craziest, busiest week and you just want to chill not and escape for a little while? This story is the perfect remedy for that. I enjoyed it from start to finish, smiled big in quite a few spots, said "Awww!" on more than one occasion, and loved the hearts of both Chris and Ellie. The way the other stories in this series appeared briefly in this story was pretty cool. They definitely made me want to read the others in the series. Ellie and Chris were amazing characters with huge hearts and a great capacity to love. They shared similar heartbreaks that made me sympathize with both. This ending moved me to tears. This was a great finish to a really cool intertwined series.

This is the final story in the Finding Chris Evans series that I have just loved to pieces! Ellie had it on good authority (a fortune teller) that fate would deliver her HEA in the form of a man named Chris Evans. She has certainly done all she can to help fate along. She's hunted high and low for any Chris Evans who would fit the bill, but they keep turning out to be Mr. Right for someone else. Now she's falling for a doctor she just met...but he's not Chris Evans. How could everything be so wrong? This was a delightful finish to the series! I fell in love with Ellie and her "not Chris". If you aren't reading the series, you really should. This set of authors did a fantastic job of making it all work. LOVED IT!
I was given a complimentary copy of this book.

*heavy sigh* I just finished this romance and it was so wonderful all I can do is smile and sigh!! This is finally Ellie's story, Ellie's Chris Evans. This Chris Evans happens to be Dr. John Christopher Evans. They meet in the ER when Ellie shows up for one of the children she is responsible for as a social worker and Dr John is his doctor. I loved reading about them and their short journey to long everlasting love!! It was so easy to picture them happy together in the future maybe with a couple of kids. I'm a little sad this series is over it has been one of the best I have read in a while, I enjoyed each and every one of the Chris Evans stories!!! I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. Happy reading!!

Fabulous wrap up to this fun novella series. The timeline of this story runs concurrent with the other novellas. It recaps each Chris Evans meeting all the while Ellie's heart is slowly being swept away by Dr. John Enars. Well actually that's Dr. John "Chris" Evans but due to some sloppy handwriting the banner at the hospital welcoming him had his name wrong. So while Ellie is is looking for the elusive love her psychic told her was named Chris Evans, the man of her dreams is right under her nose. Will she figure this out in time???

This was a fun set of books to read and this was a great way to end it! I definitely recommend the whole series to everyone.

What a great conclusion to Ellie's search for Chris Evans. After visiting a fortune teller who tells her that she will find true love with Chris Evans over the next two weeks. Every Chris Evans she meets does find his true love, unfortunately they don't happen to be her, or maybe that's not quite true at the end. Each encounter seems to bring forth some real fun and enjoyable moments that are recapped in this last segment, Chris Evans, The Ever After Edition. Great story that definitely makes me want to make sure I don't miss any of the in between stories.

Finding Chris Evans – The Ever After Edition is the final story in this series. Elizabeth Bemis has written a very gratifying ending for Ellie in her search for Chris Evans. Although some of this book recalls some of the tales from the previous books, Ms. Bemis has put her own signature to the Ellie and John/Chris’s HEA.

I love the fact that your breath will be taken away by the way this story unwinds to the more than Happy Ever After.
I’m sorry this series is over, but I do look forward to seeing what kind of trouble Aunt Izzy will get into next.

The last book in the Finding Chris Evans series is the best one of all! Ellie's search for love with her Chris Evans looks bleak as she falls for Chris Enars, the ER Doctor wearing a wedding ring taking care of her most recent client case. Ms. Bemis writes a beautiful story that will have you wondering will fate intervene when life seems to be throwing curveballs at Ellie and Dr. John. I loved this book and the entire series it is brilliant, fun, engaging and sparkles with happiness!

Loved the wrap up

I Absolutely loved this whole series, and the way this final book wrapped it all up is no exception. I do have the same complaint I had for each of the others, I wanted more. I would love to see another epilogue novella that would somehow let us see a peak into the lives of all of our couples. Maybe Ellie could invite them all to her wedding. At any rate, Finding Chris Evans was a fun journey to take, I'm just sorry that it's over.

This book was gifted to me. There's a little drama with this Chris Evans, but only after he and Ellie get together. This is a satisfying ending to Ellie's search. I have to say though that this Chris is the least exciting, but I guess that's a good thing for Ellie after everything she's been through.

The "AWWW!"-inspiring conclusion to the Finding Chris Evans series! Elizabeth Bemis brought it all together with each of the Chris's and their ladies making appearances. So sorry for the series to be over, but SO HAPPY that Ellie finally found her Chris Evans! If you haven't read the previous books in the series, you will definitely want to after this one!
