Black Lilith #2

All or Nothing: The Black Lilith Series #2

Rate this book
Sersha Walsh is a gifted lyricist. She learned her craft on her mam’s knee back in Galway, Ireland. After years as a successful freelancer she’s ready to take on her first big client—Black Lilith—the rock band making waves around the world. But the band’s bass player and current lyricist, Tommy, is less than thrilled to hear that the production company has hired Sersha. He’s moody and distant, but there’s a haunted look in his eyes that has Sersha dithering between wanting to kill him or kiss him.
Living out of a suitcase in the heart of Manhattan may sound romantic, but it’s the sort of thing that can drain a girl, even one as bubbly as Sersha. Thankfully, Black Lilith’s manager, Mikayla, seems determined to make Sersha feel at home. All the while, Sersha and Tommy grow closer, weaving poetry into music and sharing flirtatious looks over his battered notebook.
Just when things seem to be looking up, a ghost from Tommy’s past surfaces, threatening to tear down the careful equilibrium that Black Lilith has built. Sersha will need to decide who to believe and who to trust when the time comes.

WOW!! I've just finished reading this book because IT'S LIVE TODAY!! And all I can say is WOW!! It's the first work I've read from Hazel Jacobs (won't be the last) and I loved it! I want more. I've got Black Lilith fever and I need more of Tommy, Logan, Slate and Dash! Damn, but these guys were so amazing and cute and sexy!

I'm not a huge fan of single perspectives in stories. I'll read it but it's not my preference. But Mz. Jacobs did such a great job with it, I didn't really miss Tommy's POV at all. I fell in like with Sersha right from the start. This character was given such a beautiful personality. I loved her vision, her thoughts, her feelings, and her artistry. What completely sold me on her though was her compassion. Her heart was so huge! Through her eyes, I got a clear picture of Tommy's talent, his pain, his sadness, his own huge heart, and of how much he came to care for her.

I loved how nothing really happened romantically between Sersha and Tommy for most of the books, and yet the story didn't drag or lose my interest. Tommy's pain was real and it wasn't brushed under the rug or skimped on. I appreciated that their relationship developed over time. But when it finally happened, HOT DAMN TOMMY!! Or as Slate would say "from zero to sixty like a rocket."

Fave Lines:
I want you all around me. I want to be smelling you on my skin for days." - Tommy

"I care about you, Tommy."
"I care about you too, Sersh,"

I recommend this to anyone who adores great chemistry, romance and hot AF rock stars!!

I totally fell in love with Black Lilith! Sersha and Tommy are so cute together with their back and forth flirting, and stolen looks. Hazel Jacobs did an amazing job creating a true family between all of the characters. I can't wait to read Make Me, Black Lilith #3!

All or Nothing is Everything

I'm falling more and more in love with the boys from Black Lilith with each book I read!
All or Nothing was another brilliant rock-erotic-romance read.

Having already started to swoon over Tommy in book one (Black Lilith), I'm now fully gone over this deeply feeling, quiet and talented bass player/lyricist. (or a Logan would say- "Heart-Eyes MotherF**ker!")

We got some insight into Tommy's personality perviously, and in this book I loved getting to see more of who he is on a deeper level...and its exactly as I'd hoped. Hazel did an awesome job of channeling his inner emotional-artist, and his character and the choices he makes always rang true.

Sersha is an absolute spit-fire, her inner-dialogue make me laugh several times. She's feisty, flirty, and is pulling no punches - clearly a chick who is in charge of her own happiness or 'recharging her bubbles'. She's a perfect balance to Tommy and his more introverted personality.

As for their chemistry... well, I can't wait to buy a soft, plushy blue couch & Tommy can shower with me any day!

The snippets we got with the other members of the band I swooped on like a seagull on a chip - greedy and loving every moment.

I'm sooooo looking forward to reading the up-coming books for Slate & Dash, I think were in for a helluva ride yet!

I thought I was in love with these men before but I'm falling further and further. We got a taste of Tommy in Logan's story but in All Or Nothing we get deep down into this man. Sersha has been hired to be a lyricist with Tommy and he's not all that keen having to co write, she slowly makes her way into Tommy's space and they start connecting. This man has so many layers to him and after what Danielle had done to his heart it takes a lot to break down the walls he's built up. This man is sexy in that I'm not trying to get attention kinda way and I love that about him. This series has me itching for more and I love being on tour with them. Although they can all be read as standalone's I'm enjoying reading them in order and seeing the progression as well as learning about each member. I cannot wait to hear Slate's story next. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

My Thoughts on All or Nothing

This was an amazing second installment of the series. This time I got to read about Tommy and Sersha.

In book one, Tommy was the unfortunate bass player who didn't know what their ex PA, who also happened to be his girlfriend, had done and was really angry at their lead singer Logan for his part in everything. But in this story he knows the truth and now he's heartbroken.

Sersha came in at the end of book one and Tommy hated her. He felt she was there to replace him as the songwriter for the band and he has no faith that she can bring anything useful to their music. Which is where this story basically picks up.

Tommy is still hurting from events with his ex and he doesn't want to work with Sersha. But he doesn't have a choice. Forced work sessions quickly have the two learning more about each other and their relationship evolves from co-writers to friends to more. But when Tommy's past starts to intrude on their present, their new relationship is tested and may not make it.

I can't say enough good things about this book. Tommy was so sweet and had this sexy other side to him that was surprising in a good way. It really was sad watching the way he was hurting, but when he began opening up and letting Sersha in, it was nice to see the change. Sersha was this strong, independent woman who knew her worth and wouldn't allow herself to be run off by someone's bad attitude. Even when the bad attitude was coming from someone she was very attracted to. I enjoyed reading the way her mind worked and thought she was just such a well written character overall.

This book ended perfectly. It was a great setup for book three and has me anxiously awaiting not only what comes next for Tommy and Sersha, but also the remaining bachelors of Black Lilith.

Wow! This has got to be my favorite of the series by far. Tommy is swoon worthy and IMHO the perfect hero. He's tortured and sad yet funny and sweet. He's certainly a gentleman and he's loyal to the people he cares about. But, get him behind clothes doors and he turns into an animal. Dominant, demanding, and so so sexy.

This story is truly heart breaking. I fell for Tommy in Black Lilith, book #1, and was so hoping that his book would be next so we can put him out of his misery. He is so sad. Well, I got what I was hoping for and All or Nothing certainly takes you on a roller coaster.

Sersha is incredible. She's bubbly, sweet, and loving yet she has a wicked sense of humor and a sarcastic side that had me cracking up. I love how she is a take me as I am kind of woman with her crazy dancing and wild hair. She's the perfect balance for Tommy.

The romance between Tommy and Sercha builds slowly and it's not an 'in your face' build, it's gentle and sweet. Sexy looks, small comments, and friends that help things along. Once they give in to their feelings for each other, they burn up the pages. The chemistry and love flows off the pages.

If you think you want to read this book, which I highly recommend, start with Black Lilith. The books are connected enough that you will really get the full effect starting from the beginning. Again, I highly recommend this series. It's Ms Jacobs' debut series and she nails it.

I FLOVE this book!! As book two in the series, you get to catch up with how things with Mik and Logan are going and once again meet new people and make new friends. Enter Sersha, a gifted lyricist who is employed to work with Black Lilith, who with her sassy mouth and smart wit fits right in with the band and Mik. Tommy, the ever brooding bassist, is also the bands lyricist and feels like they don't need the help. The tension is high and you can't help but wait for these two to get themselves together and release how they feel. It's true what they say, always watch out for the quiet ones!!! ps. this book has some super sexy scenes...enjoy :)

Wow!! I loved the first book and couldn't wait to read the second! And it didn't disappoint!! The story between Tommy and Sersha was brilliant...they were hot, cold, in love, fell out. But I'm glad they finally sorted it out. They seem so suited to each other. Another fantastic book but this author and can't wait to read more. 5 big hot stars from me *****

still waiting for my Black Lilith t-shirt order form!

Hazel Jacobs has done it again. She has given us another story filled with these flawed but absolutely lovable characters. The writing is fantastic even considering it's an ARC, and the plot keeps you interested without being OTT! The romance is reluctant and slow burn, but it makes it feel even more gratifying once it gets there!

 photo 52F8D0DD-787A-4064-BE24-EFA0AE29129C_zpsosi1neah.jpg

Tommy and Sersha are the mains this go round, but we get visits from some of our other favorite Black Lilith members. Logan and Mik are still totally head over heels for each other. Dash is still super adorable and fiercely protective over his family. Slate is still an irresistible flirt. I said it when I read the last book and I'll say it again, reading these characters make you feel like you're in their little family. Their relationships and all their little quirks are all extremely well written. Some new characters are introduced. Some I want to know more about in the future, some ..."Bye Felicia."

Sersha is hired by Bass Note, Black Lilith's production company, to assist Tommy in writing for their next album. She's very excited to work with the band because she is a fan of their lyrics. Unfortunately Tommy is not so keen to have her help. Their relationship starts off so tense that Sersha is almost ready to give up. The worst part is she's extremely attracted to Tommy. Tommy is so hot and cold with her that she doesn't know what she's doing wrong or right with him. Will they find their groove? Will Tommy lighten up? Is Sersha the only one having feelings in this work relationship? Read it and find out!

 photo 845065FF-D084-4A84-A61F-DC3CC437D7A6_zps23kbizjd.jpg

I personally really liked Sersha and Tommy. She had a bubbly personality, but also had a wicked resting bitch face. She had a multifaceted personality which was refreshing after reading so many heroines who only have one personality trait that defines them. Tommy was like this little emo rocker dude, that was so reluctant to like Sersha, but some things are just inevitable.

The naughty scenes are hot, the romance is fun, the angst is low but it is there, and the writing is fantastic. Such a great read highly recommend and I can't wait to see what's next!

Given an ARC for an honest review.

First, *fanning myself* let's just take a moment to digest what we just read. Because HOLY HELL ON EARTH THIS ENTIRE BOOK SET ME ON FIRE!!!!! Tommy was just...uggh! Everything you'd want in a guy. Silent, brooding and vulnerable, yet extremely passionate. And he really does go from zero to sixty like a rocket in the bedroom. Goddamn! And Sersha, a really unique heroine unlike no other I have ever read and I loved her so much because of that. They complimented each other, gravitated towards each other without even knowing it. Their love was so explosive, so real yet there was a few things they needed to work on. Communication. Trust. This book was filled with so much emotion, it consumed me. I didn't know the real world existed til I finished the whole book and I was brought back to reality. I had to sit and get myself together, trying to get over this book.

This book was extremely well written and since this was the first book of Hazel Jacobs I have ever read, I will be reading all her other books, just to get to feeling again.

I LOVE Tommy! Ok, people! I knew when reading book one that Tommy was different and I knew his book was coming. I have been dying to read Tommy's story and man was it worth the wait! I can't believe I'm going to type this, but I think this was even better than book 1!

Tommy is vulnerable and brooding and sexy and holy cow is he HOT in the bedroom! Sersha is sassy and snarky and does not take crap from anyone. When she and Tommy first met, I was like woah! When they started coming around, I was like double woah! When they had sex for the first time, I was glad I was alone. Tommy is a beast in the bedroom! It's always the quiet ones. These two are so meant for each other it isn't even funny. Except, it's not a story without controversy and when the S*!T hit the fan I wanted to throw my iPad across the room.

Don't worry. I didn't do it! :)

The story is fantastic. A story of finding oneself and getting over the past. A story about finding real love.

I received an ARC of this book, All Or Nothing and let me say if I could put a ten star rating on it I would. Didn't think it was possible but this book is even better than the first. Sersha is employed by Black Lilith's label to assist the Bass Player Tommy with writing the songs for their 3rd album. Tommy is not happy with the help as the lyrics to the songs have always been his. As they get to know each other Sersha starts to fall for Tommy. Can Sersha mend his heart and take away the sadness or will Tommy and his past be too much to get past. This story gives us the rock and roll drama we all crave, a beautiful love story and some serious hot sex in a basement bedroom. I also have to disagree with Slate, Tommy has stamina. Can't wait for the next book in this series.
P.S. At the end of the book you will want to grab your phone and bring up the song Black Lilith performs as a tribute and sing along as loud as you can, I know I did.

5* read.
This is actually the first book I'd read by this author, although I have recently gone back and read the book before this one, which i also loved.
Tommy is a brooding bass player who isn't happy when Sersha is employed to assist him in writing lyrics for their next album. I did enjoy watching their relationship develop, it wasn't an instant thing it was more slow burning but I felt I got to know both characters more this way. What happens when Tommy's past comes back to haunt him, will Sersha stick by his side or will it all be to much? You need to read it to find out and trust me it is well worth the read.
I can't wait to get the rest of the bands stories.

Good Rock Star Story

Hazel Jacobs does a great job with telling a story that shows the dynamic and closeness of the band Black Lilith. Tommy's world was torn apart in book one by his devious ex girlfriend which put him in a writing slump. The bands manager hires Irish beauty Sersha as a co lyricist, which Tommy wants no part of. Sersha is a very quirky character and when her and Tommy connect it is very sensual and hot. I had a few issues with some of the storyline and editing but overall a nice addition to the series.

Tommy has been writing all the songs for the band, why would he need help? When it is decided a song writer named Sersha is asked to collaborate with him, Tommy is none too happy. Is it possible that they can work together and develop some new songs? Is Tommy willing to let her in? What happens when they both start to develop feelings for each other? I enjoyed this story of taking chances and opening your heart. I am a fan of the guys in the band and the women they are falling for.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, Black Lilith, but this book took me longer to get attached to the new protagonist and the romance. However, when this book hit about the half-way point, it took off running! If the first of this book would have been as good as the last half, then it would have definitely earned 5 stars. I still really enjoyed my time reading it and am VERY, VERY excited to read Slate’s book next!

Just like the first book, this one is written in third person. It didn’t cause me to have any difficulty getting to know Sersha, the main female protagonist, but I do feel like it hindered me from really knowing who Tommy was. I felt a bit distanced from the story and it took me some time to get completely immersed within the plot.

I liked Sersha, but I never fell in love with her character. She was always true to herself and sassy, but I felt like our personalities would not mesh well together. I did not find her relatable, but I would consider that a personal issue. I really liked Tommy, more at the end of the book than the beginning. He felt like he was just a shell of himself during the first half of the book, but once the romance started, he became very charismatic and loving.

Again I loved all of the band members of Black Lilith, but the friendship was not focused on in this book as much as it was in the first. I missed that aspect because it was one of my favorite parts from book one. Slate is still me favorite band member, but I still loved them all for their unique quirks.

The romance was great once it began. I liked that Sersha and Tommy started out as friends before their romantic relationship began. A lot of their interactions were told to readers rather than shown, which made the foundation of their connection feel less developed. But once the romance began, Tommy really revved up the ALL the feels and I fell in love with them as a couple.

So far, I have enjoyed the books from this series. I am planning on continuing and can’t wait to read the next book since it is Slate’s! I KNOW that his book is going to be my favorite and all of the previous books have just lead to the moment when I get to devour his story!

All or Nothing is the second book in the Black Lilith series, and I am head over heels for this band! This book focuses on the bass player, Tommy, who we get to know on a deeper level about what makes him tick as a lyricist and why he’s truly sad all the time. At first he’s threatened when the record label, adds a feisty lyricist, Sersha, to the team. But Sersha is persistent to make it work, and we soon see the flirtatious side of them both. Everything about Tommy and Sersha’s relationship is perfect, from the ups and downs, to the swoon-worthy actions that can’t help but make you fall in love with Tommy. The rest of the band is very present in the storyline, as they should be because it’s a tight knit group of characters and the author continues to make you feel like part of their family. Everything about this series is amazing, and just when you think it can’t get any better… it does.

Sersha was hired to collaborate with Tommy the lyricist of Black Lilith and bring something more to their music, a stronger voice. Tommy was outraged, but he’d give it a shot, especially with Sersha. She’s beautiful, smart and extremely talented. From the moment he met her he tried not to like her, but… Even he had to admit there was chemistry and she made him smile.
As Sersha falls for Tommy, she realizes he’s still not over Danielle, the PA who stole from the band and broke his heart. This book moves extremely slowly. I’m half way through this book and Tommy hasn’t even kissed her, or showed any interest in her at all.
When these two finally got together it was glorious. Tommy is just so adorable, I’m truly in love. This story is sweet, romantic and steamy. The ending was awesome. I gave this book five stars and highly recommend it. Can’t wait to start reading book three, it’s Stash’s story.

This is the second book in the Black Lilith series and it was just as awesome as the first!

I wanted to know more about Tommy after reading Black Lilith and this book did not disappoint. Sersha was feisty and a really unique character. I love them both!

I also loved that even though they didn't have a relationship for most of the book, they had amazing chemistry!

I fell in love with Black Lilith when I read Logan and Mik's story. Included in that love affair was my fondness for Tommy. He seemed so broken. I was so happy when I found out that the next book was going to be his story. All or Nothing gave us such a great ride where Tommy and Sersha is concerned.

Tommy writes almost all of Black Lilith's songs. They are mostly based on his life or the life of his band mates. The record label wants to develop the sound of Black Lilith and has brought in a lyricist to work with Tommy. He is not happy about this at all, but he can't help be attracted to the quirky Irish girl. Sersha has music in her blood and has been writing music for as long as she can remember. She jumps at the chance to work with Black Lilith. But it isn't going to be easy. Tommy doesn't seem to want to share. Sersha is going to have to find a way to break through to Tommy. She needs to make this job work with a man that she admires, but wants to punch at the same time. She hopes that she doesn't lose herself in this job.

We learned quite a bit about why Tommy was so sad and depressed in the first book. In All or Nothing, we get to see a different side to Tommy. His character comes out of his shell, if you will. Sersha is a quirky character, but is a great addition to the group. She is perfect for Tommy. A Yin to his Yang. I loved how she didn't give up no matter how many times Tommy tried to push her away. My heart broke for Tommy when that witch came back into the picture. We never got closure as to why she betrayed Tommy the way she did. Maybe we will learn more in future books. I also loved seeing all of the other characters in this book. Logan, Mik, Slate, and Dash. I cannot wait to read Slate and Dash's stories.

Oh sweet and sensitive Tommy who was screwed over by the band's ex-PA. I love him and his tortured soul. In walks fiery Sersha who Tommy is instantly drawn to but fights it. When in walks his ex and she wants him back. When Danielle sinks her claws in Tommy it may be Sersha who is the one in agony. Sersha and Tommy are so cute and hot together. I loved the natural progression of their story. It flowed so well and I have to say I loved this story more than the first one in this series. Don't ger me wrong I love Mik and Logan but I simply adore Tommy and Sersha. Great book and one I couldn't put down.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED!!

By CARYN - Jan. 6 2017

Aaaaah, Tommy! The perfect example in my library as a man worth having. As the sole lyricist for his band, Tommy is not impressed when Sherna Walsh is hired to write lyrics with him. Tommy is very quiet and moody since his girlfriend had just up and left him. And he was surprised when his new lyricist partner is a woman!
Sherna can't help longing for Tommy and hoping they can write lyrics that bring the fans to their knees! When they do get together, in every way, Sherna is right and their lovemaking is epic.
But, of course, the unthinkable happens. Sherna walks into their recording studio to find Tommy and his ex in a compromising position.
That's all you get folks! Read this series and you will swoon over this band of men known as Black Lilith!

I fell in love with this series, the minute I read book one, so I knew book two would be just as amazing, if not more!!!  I loved the story and the characters!  I mean there’s nothing not to love really!!!  Hazel Jacobs knows how to take a story and twist into something that seems so real and vivid.  I almost forgot I was reading for awhile!!  I can’t wait to read more!!!

well well well if Logan isn't sexy enough in walks Tommy the moody if not gifted writer/bass player.

when mikayla (Logan from black Lilith girlfriend) becomes the bands manager she hires sersha a very talented songwriter to help Tommy with new songs for the next album well lets just say Tommy isn't happy.

but as Tommy gets to know sersha and starts writing with her they quickly become good friends and when sersha starts to get feelings for Tommy in walks the ex PA Danielle who is a crazy bitch and Tommy's ex girlfriend and to put boot in claims she still has feelings for Tommy.

Tommy indeed falls for sersha and they starts a whirlwind romance but yet again Danielle keeps popping up i won't spoil what happens between these three but by the end if anything like me you'll wanna do some serious damage to Danielle.

Tommy is one sexy bass player and a bit of an animal in bed they always its the quiet ones you need to look out for.

can't wait for make me the next one in the series.
