Rocker Liam Darwin has never met a guitar he couldn’t figure out or a woman who could resist him. And it's not going to happen now, not as his band is about to rise to the next level. Madelyn Palmer is starting over with a new fixer upper house after a whirlwind marriage and a messy divorce. She’s going to focus on herself and never let a guy lie to her again. With her career and heart on the line, she can’t give in to temptation. But when your next door neighbor is a soul shaking rock star, a little neighbors with benefits situation won’t hurt, right? Authors This is a standalone novel with a HEA.
Well, I thought the premise was excellent. I liked the characters for the most part. Sometimes Madelyn was way too immature for the type work she did. Author did give her strength to rid herself of Ryan.
Her time with Liam was weird and I had hoped she wasn't going to go groupie. Liam didn't give much away in communication with Madelyn but I liked how her friend reminded her not to change herself for another guy (like her had with Ryan). Tony was frightening.
Several twists to story brought the book up in my estimation.
So although it was not exactly my cup of tea I'd recommend for story originality. I read a lot and this was a bit fresher take on rock bands genre.
Okay, so getting past the beginning where she finds him getting oral and he tells her to watch him with a groupie, I would say it was a good read. He was genuinely regretful about that so that lessened the douchery somewhat. Liam was kind of hot and cold but he ended up to be a good guy in the end. No cheating by the H or h. Her ex husband did cheat but who cares about him lol. Tony was a psycho, I thought he had a crush on Liam with the way he was acting. We don't really get anything from the other band members but they really don't add anything to the story other than background anyway. I was really glad when Maddy stuck up for herself. I like her friend Laura too and Nina surprised me at the end too.

Quite a good story, a couple of unexpected twists kept the pages turning. The main characters were incredibly immature but they both had some interesting qualities. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book.
The book could use some proofreading, breaks instead of brakes, dessert/desert and stationary/stationery.
Its so different from the usual. I really liked Liam and the story and romance are cute. I didn't feel Maddy was over the top. Yes there are errors but not that many. I wish I could read them on tour but hope you write more stories. I've read this twice.
This felt like I was reading a diary, not a book. It was too much narration, not enough dialogue. Everything comes from the heroine's point of view. It just felt so one-sided. I read it cover to cover hoping it would get better, but it didn't. I gave it 2 stars because, at least I was able to finish it.
While the premise of this story was great, it is hard to look past the fact that this book needs editing. I'm a stickler for punctuation and grammar, story continuity and overall dialogue. This could have been a 4/4.5 star read if sharper eye had read it prior to its release.
I loved the storyline, but I felt like the character kept repeating herself trying to describe every thought and action. Overall great job for a first book
love ain't it grand! how many believe it happens this easily? I really like the story, however, I'm thinking the highly erotic stories I've been reading are more easily believed than this. most people aren't this quick to trust others.
I felt like there was something missing in this story. It's very soft and sweet, I prefer something a little darker. Still, this was a cute and fun little read!!
