While the subject matter could be very dense at times, I do feel like I gained a much better understanding of not just the importance of coaching but some great recommendations for carrying out the process. One book won't be enough to become an expert; it will take many years of trial and error and practice to grow. I recommend this more as a resource than a straight-through read.

The version I read seemed old school, but it still reinforced the importance of asking good questions.
