Sept would do anything for his lord and master, Theo. No matter how crude and twisted his master is, Sept owes him everything, and when Theo begins to act strangely, Sept is on top of it... until he realizes he's dealing with more than just his master's usual quirkness.

This book is mature and contains many triggers that could be distressing for some readers. Caution is advised. 18+ content.

4.5/5

This is going to be a quick review – these books are paced so well that everything happens in a succinct way and doesn't dawdle or dwell on things that aren't important in the future, so it was read pretty quickly.

Okay, so I love Theo. He's a really messed up character with so many problems but I think maybe that's why I love him so much – because regardless of everything he's been through and all that he is, he's strong to the core and stubborn as a mule.

I dunno if I enjoyed Sept's point of view as much as Adrian's, but the flashbacks of Theo's life were really interesting (particularly to his character development). Obviously, as this is a reread, I do know what happens in the future so when I say I'm hoping to see more about Sept and his family, I really truly mean it because Rotty has a sequel series coming out after Revelations (the latest Underworld Chronicles book) and it's all about Duat.

again, the best thing to have happened to me in a very very long time—what would one do without theo? genuinely, though. what a little foul-mouthed, sensitive, psychopathic crimson-haired cutie.

I really loved the book. Rotty's writing improved so much over the time and the characters ! You just have to fall in love with Sept. (I didn't need to fall for Theo, because I already loved him since the first book. He just got better and better because Rotty worked out his character pretty well. Only the ending seemed a little out of character, but thinking about it, it actually makes good sense.)
Really looking forward to the next one.

Rotty did it again and with this book promised me that everyone that was introduced in Inferi was gonna have their own story written. I absolutely loved Theo even though at first he presents himself as someone who doesn't think he can be loved.

I've read the first few books of this series, by few I mean the first 15 and this one is just as amazingly written as the last one and as good as the rest of the upcoming ones. Truly dismayed to see them having been removed from Wattpad as I do wish I had continued the series.
