I almost forgot that I had reviews to catch up on!
Sinful is my absolute favourite book of the series (like I love a lot of them, dislike some others, but Sinful is always always,/i> one that I look forward to rereading when I can!)
First and foremost, I love Rotty's writing so so much. And with the content of this book, which can be super graphic at times, there's something about how it just works so well with he story and the world building.
We meet the truly barbaric side of some of the most evil characters in the series, and finally, things kick off to start this intriguing first climactic battle to come. And sometimes the barbaric characters are those who you assume would be different, who don't aim for physical blows but instead, emotional ones. The worst are the ones who aim for both.
And just, poor Raven. But also yay Raven, you go my boo! He's just such a resilient character, despite all that he's been through. And I remember why I started liking Hannibal so much more; it was absolutely because of this book. But Cain can be such as asshole – yet I still kind of love him too.
Another reason this is one of my favourites is because I am a sucker for a good reunion. And damn Rotty can write a reunion. Characters who reunite but go out of character for it kind of bug me, but none of the characters do – they react exactly how you'd expect and it's absolutely incredible.
Another extremely traumatizing book. I didn't re-read this book until a year and a half later and even then I skipped the entire middle. It is a really good book. It's a great book and it takes you through so many emotions, most of them rage. Just pure rage. It reminds of the rage I felt when I watched the torture scene in Ajin.
the first book that actually made me cry it was heart wrenching and I still cant bring myself to reread most of the chapters because of how much my heart breaks for the main character but it was still a wonderful book and the writing was amazing
This is probably my favorite book in this series. I don’t know what it is, but every time I read it, I fall in love with the storytelling all over again.
