Adrianna is in college. One day she'll take over her family's jewelry shop and she's working her way to make that happen. But being 21 and living at home is tough. Especially with a mom that doesn't want to acknowledge you're an adult. But a chance meeting with a friend at a bar derails those plans. Now she has a stalker, a weirdo from another bar and a biker who has decided she needs saving from herself.
Spoilers ahead. I only made it through the 1st book. I just couldn't go any further. I barely made it that far. Prologue is the rape of the MC Pres's soon to be stepkid. Chapter 1 starts off with 1 pretending to be adult meeting her also barely pretending to be an adult friend at a strip club. One is there to get laid by her bf before going on a girl's night drinking spree. The other is there to pick her up as the DD. Adrianna is accosted by a rival club member, who happens to be a convicted rapist and suspended rapist of the previously mentioned girl. Then the friend's bf decides to bang the friend on a bed. In a strip club. A bed that is used by both the son and his dates and the dad and his. Ew. While the friend is screaming down the backroom Adrianna is engaging in awkward conversation with Raptor. His heavy handed, and tragically bad, flirting doesn't work on her but he digs in her purse, finds her cell and enters his number. This comes in handy later because the girl's night is a bust. The friends are all drunk, except the mom and Adrianna- who manages to get roofied. Luckily she barfs on the jerk, gets left on the roadside and calls Raptor to the rescue. Now, immediately after his less than charming chatter and a brief meeting with the Pres he heads home. Home, where his ex is waiting. Deciding he's horny he gets a BJ and then kicks her back to the curb. Not exactly cheating, but doesn't say a lot to me about the supposed interest in Adrianna. I considered putting it down at this point but I considered it a challenge to see how much worse it could get. It got worse. Stalker kicks it into high gear. Raptor woos with the grace of a mud bound water buffalo. Adrianna alternates between whining, bowing to her mom and telling Raptor to leave her alone but immediately kissing him and climbing him. And those were the high points. The first ends on a cliffhanger but as it's a trilogy you can just jump right on in. Considering where it left off, I don't plan on it. I don't like protesting women who say no but grab and cling. The dialogue is odd and stilted. I know it's an MCR but the angst that tries to get crammed in here is like trying to shove an entire season in a single 20 minute episode. It's do crammed you don't get to do any bonding to the characters. I'm starting to think MCRs aren't my thing. What self respecting MC lets someone kidnap, rape and kill the Pres's son's gf and walk away? Quietly hires a hitman to remove a problem instead of making an example out of him? Knows there's a snitch and doesn't pursue it? And the cops. Geez. There's 2 detectives in here. The one goes drinking with the other friends during an ongoing investigation of the one friend's death. I hate leaving bad reviews. Someone put time into this. It just doesn't flow as it is. Plug some plot holes, tweak some dialogue, expand on some ideas and flesh it out. There's bones. It just needs some love. Lots of love. Oh, and remove that whole ick factor of the shared bed in the strip club. Just ugh. Father and son shouldn't be shagging women on the same bed. I don't care if it is at different times.
#1 Resisting the Biker I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title.
I think society automatically stereotype certain individuals depending on skin color, sexual orientation, and association to certain groups. This book shows that the 'Bad Boy" was actually the guy you could depend on, where the clean cut college guys were the ones to take advantage of a girl who had been slipped a Mickey. Yes, I know each group has the good, bad and ugly in them, so all you can do is deal with the individual, and be circumspect in all associations.
#2 Surviving the Biker
I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title. A suspense filled episode, where two women are possibly pregnant, then a couple of kidnapping, with brutal consequences. As Adrianna's mother warms to Trevor, and possible situations become certain, together our romantic couple face life together.
#3 Fearing the Biker
I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobooks of this title. We meet Jessica in the first episode of this series, as a virgin being raped by by a biker brute. Now she appears to have been targeted by the new leader of the Devil's Rangers, in retaliation for deaths from that original rape. Jordan (The Judge) has also appeared in previous episodes, as the ultimate cleanup guy, a gun for hire. These two are brought together, due to the vendetta by the a Devil's Rangers new leader, who has disregarded previous truces and is out for blood.
I was hooked from the first page!! The first four books in this series are about a group of hot guys in a motorcycle club that are brothers in every way. They all have their demons and last that they are dealing with. When they find the woman that they love they will do anything to protect them. In their world they have many people that are not their brothers that want to hurt them. Retaliation from other MC clubs that like their club. They will protect their brothers and families with everything they have. As you end each book, you will find you can't wait to start the next as the author has a way of making us care a about these bikers. You will laugh, even maybe shed a few tears. This is the first read from this author but I can't wait to read more. I just purchased book five and can't wait continue this series!!! Be warned thou you might be up all night once you start as they are hard to put down!!!!!
I was going to give it a 4*rating as there was a few parts that I felt hadn't been edited like when tiffany and Ariana were talking about krystals funeral and tiffany said I haven't seen you since tiffany funeral... Confused me a bit and I had to re-read that part, but the stories are amazing and I couldn't give it 4* stars as even with a few mistakes the books and stories are just that good and draw you in, I can't waite to read ice book and hopefully plenty more from these guys. If Deffinetly recommend this series as I love Of books and this is a really good one x
It's been a long time since I have been able to find a book (let alone FOUR) that keeps me turning the pages wanting to see what happens next. The Biker series is a series of romance novels but not like your mother's romance novels of the past. The characters are fresh and current. Cocky and full of attitude. Down to earth and real. It all comes together with a series of stories that are believeable and relatable to many readers. Open the first book, step into the world of the MCs..and go for a ride!
I thought the collection was reasonably well written. It was engaging enough to keep me reading to the end. I felt that some of the plots were a little undercooked, a couple even bordering on ridiculous. But the characters were solid and likeable enough, and there were a couple of curve balls to keep it interesting. Not the best MC series I’ve ever read but certainly a far cry from the worst.
I gave these books 4 stars because of the errors, if it wasn’t for them I’d have definitely given 5 stars. Loved reading about the Gold Vipers love stories. Sadly there are deaths amongst them, couldn’t care less about their enemies, the Devils Rangers they got what they deserved. I’m keen to read more.
Book crack...I've been reading this set the last three days if I wasn't working or sleeping. Excellent stories, sexy, smart, fun, and poignant. Now on to read the rest of the series.
....will keep you going!! Such a great set of books. So much drama, hate, love, laughter....so much of everything! I can wait to read more about this club and all that happens!!
I loved almost every story. Except for slammer being taken out . Need to find a way to bring him back. That would be the way to make the family whole. And fix some of the mean.
Loved all stories the last one too me awhile to read but they were all exciting to read. The 1st 3 were bamn bamn bamn quick to read but last one took longer
These are fun and sexy and full of action. The first three books are great-- the 4th-- was just too much. But otherwise, I would recommend this series.
This book /these books have the potential to be amazing but they need re edited and a few things fixed but if you can look past errors and a few mins ups then it's a good interesting series. There were little things like in Justin's book she puts trevors name where Justin should be. Or she repeats words that are not needed. There's just a bunch of errors that a quick edit would fix. However there are is a great story line to each and lots of twists and turns along the way. I enjoyed each couple and the things they went through and had to over come. I hope in future books there ends with a great ending or each family member esp jessica however I think these will be my last books at least in this series.
While these books were easy to read and I read all four in four days, the author should really have some assistance with proof reading before the books should have been published. There were a ton of words missing and characters were mixed up in different scenarios. In completing the first four books in the series, I am not sure I would go past these four books if they are written the same way, missing words and mixing characters.
