About the author

Geoff Baggett is a small town pastor with a passion for Revolutionary War history. He is an active member of the Sons of the American Revolution and has discovered over twenty Patriot ancestors in his family tree from Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Georgia. He is an avid living historian, appearing regularly in period uniform in classrooms, reenactments, and other commemorative events.

Geoff lives on a small piece of land in rural western Kentucky with his amazing wife, a daughter and grandson, and a yard full of perpetually hungry chickens and goats.

I enjoyed the narration of Zach NeSmith

Robert has grown weary of the quiet life of Colonial Virginia. With his family and wife, Milly, they to the rugged, untamed Indian lands of Georgia. Frontier life suited the Hammock family.

Soon the Revolution War sweeps the colonies. Robert and Milly chose to make a stand and fight. The choice costs them their farm. Forced to flee Milly and the children became refugees across the mountains in Tennessee. Robert and his faithful slave, Frank, returned to Georgia to fight a guerrilla war against the British.
This book has loyalty, love, and the fight for liberty.

Full of indepth historical facts!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Almost all I read is historical fiction and go from book to book with hardly a break. I found each character believable and so well fleshed out and the battle scenes were rich in detail . Looking forward to the next title by Mr. Baguette.

I’m not stopping here…

This is the second of Geoff Baggett’s American Revolution series that I have read and as a result, I plan on reading all of the books of the series.
His novels to date have been categorized as Historical fiction, Therefore there is much to learn while following the heroic adventures of the endearing characters of the novel.

Amazing

I just finished this book and it leaves wanting more. The details are amazing. You feel as you would know them if you ran into them on the street. Eternally grateful for the sacrifices our forefathers made for us. Warriors!!!!

Historicsl Fiction

IGreat author a bit more fighting in this book than I like but is well written. My husband is now reading this series too . He cant put them down either. Thank you for a good read!

Worth the read

If you like history this is a good book for you. It tells a lot of the Southern theatre of the American Revolution. Most people know about Kings Mountain and Cowpens. This tells of lesser known battles and the courage of the Patriots.

Another families revolutionary war

Robert Hammock and his family have quite the adventurous life as they travel from pre independent Virginia to Georgia and begin anew life. This story covers the times through the end of the revolutionary war.
