She’s a broke actress. He needs a fiancée for the weekend. He’ll hire her to play his girlfriend for the weekend. That’s it!
Grace I’m deep in debt and the loan shark is after me. Enter Chase, a billionaire playboy. He wants to hire me to play his fiancée for the weekend. Not a problem. I need the money, he needs me. I can work with that. I am the leading lady in my play, and playing the part of a love-struck fiancée for a weekend can’t be that hard. As long as he plays his part. But he’s a bad actor. No way his touch is fake. His kisses have to be real. And his body… his rock hard body is as real as it gets.
Chase I’ve had my share of women wanting me for my money and body, and I was done! Not even the fiery hot, talented actress can change my mind. But Grace is the right person for one tiny role – a loving fiancée for a weekend cruise with my family. No audition required. We struck a good deal - one weekend as my perfect fiancée. That’s it. But the weekend didn’t go exactly as I planned, though it wasn’t her fault. She played the role well. Perhaps too well. Even in bed.
Pity it was all fake.
PUBLISHER'S NOTE: PRETEND BOYFRIEND is a standalone romance novel with a happy ending and no cliffhangers!
Lovely story. Very sexy and intense. I love fake boyfriend stories and this was a lot of fun. A good billionaire that was not a controlling jerk. Highly recommended.
Chase and Grace what a perfect couple. Trust is always hard to get over but with the right person you can do anything, and they proved that in this story. This is one story I was glad I read.
Grace is an actress that is struggling due to some circumstances beyond her control. Once night at the theatre she works at in walks Chase, who immediately feels an attraction to Grace, Chase also has a problem, he told his parents that he had a fiancé and they are now expecting to meet her. Chase comes up with the perfect solution, to hire Grace to be that fiancé for the weekend away with his parents. Everything starts to go well with Chase’s parents believing the lie and falling in love with Grace, then Chase starts to realize that Grace isn’t like the women and his past and realize he wants to date her. Some slight communication problems from Grace in failing to tell Chase the truth and Chase over hearing something while Grace is on the phone – you’ll be left wondering if these two who are obviously in love will ever work out that they love each other. A great read with the characters easy to following and a story line that keeps you wondering what’s going to happen with Grace and Chase.
HEA and not cheating. This was a story of a h playing the martyr and causing unnecessary drama when she could have just ASKED for HELP! She is dating a billionaire who loves her! She couldn't tell him and ask him for the money, (only thousands) which by the way, she earned. Ugh. I wanted to slap her so many times. Also, at the end, I'm not sure the H would have broken the nose of a Irish mob loan shark and got away with it, regardless of money. But hey, it's a book and they were in love and there's a HEA.
I read this book through Kindle Unlimited. Its the story of an actress who is hired to play a billionaires fiancee for a weekend trip with his parents. They totally fall for each other during the trip but she has the mob after her for her mothers gambling debts and doesn't want to risk him being involved in her life. Naturally he comes to the rescue in the end after he jumps to the wrong conclusions when he over hears her on the phone talking about needing money. Short read without much character development.
I loved this book. I loved Grace and Chase together - how their relationship grew from fake to real. Grace- a struggling actress trying desperately to pay off the debt owed by her mother and Chase- having trust issues because of his gold digging ex-fiancee. Although the ending seemed a bit rushed for me. I expected Grace to let Chase grovel a bit more after how he treated her. But all is well that ends well I guess..
